I can actually relate too. My wife suffers from depression (it is hereditary through her family) and I struggle with anxiety as well. Graceland is Mecca for Southern People..

Glad you got a chance to experience Graceland, especially at Christmas. The house is actually not decorated as when Elvis died. In 1974 Elvis, with helped of Linda Thompson, redecorated the living room with dramatic French Provencal furniture, INCLUDING red carpets and velvet furniture with satin draperies to match. It appeared more like a bordello than it did a home. When they decided to open Graceland as a tourist destination, the decor was reverted back to its original classic look of the 50-60s. It was the right move because the other was gaudy to say the least. Not all of the Christmas decorations in the front yard are original decorations used by Elvis. The "Merry Christmas to All - Elvis" and the Santa sleigh are original and I believe he paid around $300 for it at the time. The nativity scene on display today is not original, but to keep with tradition they incorporated a new nativity scene for the season because that is what Elvis wanted as the focal point of the decorations.

I will never go to Graceland that Lisa is gone, Its over. Prissy should not have her stuff there. They divorced and she put a lien on his home before he passed. Elvis home was also redecorated the way she liked it not how Elvis had it. I cant see why the grandson who did himself in, is there when he felt a failure compared to his grandfather. Now the ex wife wants a spot too. Elvis was the talent not the destroyer . The price is $200 for a Navarone & Prissy autograph! That Candlelight Vigil is a pagan ritual that Elvis would never approve of of or ask for money. Her stories change throughout the years depending on what pays. Elvis gave her a very generous unheard of settlement to never use the Presley name or ever profit off of it. She once accused Elvis of rape & grooming her. How is that when she left Germany two months prior to graduation when Elvis was in LA. She was almost 18 and went to a finishing school and shopped all day with his credit card. Prissy had many of the MM wives as friends, not just a little dog. BTW..She cheated first and Elvis never hit her or twisted her arms according to everyone who was around. Many of the MM passed away & her stories change. She even laughed about some things Lisa said about her. All the sweet women he left to wind up with the worst one. A once pretty face but no body to brag about. Ann Margaret is never invited because she outshines Prissy pants.

Admittedly, I am not a huge fan of Elvis, but I choked up! I forgot he died at Graceland - and was buried there - and that Lisa Marie also died and was buried next to him. And, I thought it was SO SPECIAL to see his Christmas stuff. I would definitely go in December - it looks amazing.

Christmas at Graceland! Gonna be hard to top this one, Ashley. I know I speak for everyone when I say we all anxiously await the return of the King! I remember listening to the Elvia Sirius station after Lisa Maria passed and when they played the duet version of "Never Stand Alone" I absolutely bawled. And I was in the parking lot of a Whole Foods.

This is really interesting because I never really took the time to see what the inside of Graceland looked like, & it isn't nearly as over the top as I had expected it to look.

My Priscilla's make a wish what is to go to Graceland my daughter is named after my mother who is 81 years old still proud to have her but I lost my sweet 16 Priscilla to cancer osteogenic sarcoma a form of bone cancer so we went to Graceland and we got to meet Priscilla Presley she gave us everything I mean we had games toys Presley boulevard big huge stuffed animals and then we went walking and we went through the horse barn she took us everywhere and explained everything she asked my Priscilla are you named after me she said no ma'am I'm named after my grandma now mind you my Priscilla was completely bald with an NG tube out of her nose so I could feed her she was only 11 when we found out that she had cancer sweet 16 she passed away 😢😢😢😢 another year has gone by without my little Priscilla I tried everything I moved from state to state to state to get her help we found wonderful doctors you can read about my daughter on Google also did television programs sit down programs and she was very courteous yes ma'am and no sirs and thank you she was a very special little girl that's for sure she taught the world a lot also the ways and means committee lower their flags at half-staff the day after she passed an had 7 minutes of silence in her honor I homeschooled my girls and I'm glad I did so she did graduate the day she passed away she had already put in for Penn State to go to school to become a hematology oncology specialists for adolescent children she says I know what it's like to be in that situation I can give them guidance since I have been through it my goodness this little girl❤❤❤❤ was the love of my life I will never be the same again Priscilla Presley ask us to come back when the stamp came out so that my Priscilla would get the first stamps and she was photographed in the newspaper as doing so and we were invited to all the hoopla parties and on top of that Priscilla paid for our car rental car are plane tickets and we had the best time she explained that Elvis looked down at the lights as he was flying over an airport and he called down to Graceland and told the guys light up Graceland I want to see all blue and I want to see Graceland lit up that's how that happened but we did get to see the horses we got to pet them Priscilla set on Mariah that was so special I know this is long and no punctuations it's only because I do it so fast when I think that I could get through it all God bless you peace be with you much love and respect Tampa Angel doobie❤😢 I was brought up on Elvis and I brought my children up on Elvis❤😢

Thanks Ashleigh. I remember well hearing that Elvis had died. It was about 7am here in Australia and I was getting ready for work. I had the radio on and it came over the radio that he had a heart attack and was dead. I ran and woke my mother and we listened to the radio news flashes. Later they broadcast his funeral live on TV for us. There were thousands of people outside the gates. And I cried.

Ashleigh thank you for giving us the tour of Graceland the home of the king of rock and roll. I really don't know what else to say about this video I like the little short clips at the end and they were very interesting. I wish you would bring back the whole indoor water feature and waterbed I agree with that you could ask show us how you would do it in your home. As always Ashleigh thank you for the entertainment and hope to see you in the next year.

This doesn't feel like a place where children could even breathe w/o getting in trouble. In the late 1960s I was a kid living across the street from a funeral home where my Dad worked. This video of Elvis' home takes me back. I remember Dad's workplace used to have stained glass, carpeted floors & indoor water features. There's a website of what the funeral home looks like today. It's been brought into the 21st century. I wasn't allowed inside where Dad worked w/o adult supervision & I wasn't allowed to touch anything. Visitors there to pay their respects to the dearly departed were not always as respectful to the carpeted floors, stained glass & indoor water features. Back then the world wasn't kid proofed. 8:22 Good riddance to all that nonsense.

Elvis Presley is my eighth cousin it is true because he was native American Cheerokee Indian and i am to. And the person he was related to was an Indian woman name morning dove. So because of her i am related to him.

On Elvis Birthday there is a week of Elvis and Graceland festivities in Parkes, Australia and the place is booked out. If anyone outside Australia heads there just so U know it's a 7 hour train ride west of Sydney and 99% of the hotels are in town not far from the train station. ....There is two special Elvis trains you can go on with entertainers but U pay a lot for tickets on these OTHERWISE catch the train the day before. There are other train rides to Parkes without travelling on The Elvis trains.

Let me just say this as so many have said. if it is Elvis, Liberace, John Lennon, Frank Sinatra, Mario Lanca Pavarotti or anybody else who is not famous................nothing is forever for any of us so history goes on and life, in it's own way and meaning has no meaning since we all are going to die someday so live and enjoy life while it last. Some like Elvis, die way to young and then more so even Lisa Marie and her son etc etc so again, when we are dead..........................we all will be dead for a long time ok, forever !
