I'm so happy for you, and that you got this experience!! I'm a huge fan of Dolly, beyond her incredible music. When my 11 year old daughter was born, I signed her up for the Imagination Library, and getting those books every month were the highlight of her month. She aged out of the program years ago, but she still talks so fondly of her love of it. She's an *avid* reader to this day - all 4 walls of her room are covered with bookshelves, and her bed is extra storage for books, and she sleeps on a tiny sliver of her bed. Dolly has absolutely changed millions of lives, by being the bad ass boss babe that she is, and seems to still be the most humble, kind person. She's an amazing woman, and someone we should be more like (still be yourself, but you know what I'm saying...)

Bless you! I’m over hear sobbing! I understand how you feel about Dolly. I grew up in the mountains of Southeastern, KY not far from where Dolly grew up. I wasn’t able to be my true self, being laughed at, bullied, made to feel less than human. Dolly through her words of wisdom, songs and kindness also got me through a few dark places. She loves and accepts everyone just the way they are. She’s been such a blessing to me. I wish she could truly understand the impact she has made on so many people, including this old Kentucky boy.

Hear me out. I'm from NC and I love Dollywood and 9 to 5 and Steel Magnolias like everyone else, but I really never understood why people loved Dolly so much. Hearing what she did for you and for countless other people has completely changed my mind. I think the main problem is that we only know what we know, so we miss out or judge. This is yet another lesson for me at 41 to do my own research and not make assumptions (yk what they say). What did you do to deserve this? You just stayed being you. You never tried to be anything you are not. Every laugh, every cry, every burp... you were just YOU. This is what kept us coming back every week for more. Your sense of humor entertained us. Your genuine reactions to movies we already have seen makes us see them all over again for the first time through your eyes.
So why shouldn't you have a little enjoyment for yourself as we have enjoyment through you. I honestly hope one day soon Dolly actually watches this video and makes an effort to contact you. Although you dropping dead from a heart attack might not be the best thing if that happens. haha

Bless you! I’m over hear sobbing! I understand how you feel about Dolly. I grew up in the mountains of Southeastern, KY not far from where Dolly grew up. I wasn’t able to be my true self, being laughed at, bullied, made to feel less than human. Dolly through her words of wisdom, songs and kindness also got me through a few dark places. She loves and accepts everyone just the way they are. She’s been such a blessing to me. I wish she could truly understand the impact she has made on so many people, including this old Kentucky boy.

Hear me out. I'm from NC and I love Dollywood and 9 to 5 and Steel Magnolias like everyone else, but I really never understood why people loved Dolly so much. Hearing what she did for you and for countless other people has completely changed my mind. I think the main problem is that we only know what we know, so we miss out or judge. This is yet another lesson for me at 41 to do my own research and not make assumptions (yk what they say).
