45 years ago, I avoided looking up from the map until I figured I was perfectly positioned to see the castle just right. It was the same experience for me then as you had this year, and the image in my mind has never dimmed. HAPPY BIRTHDAY!

The restaurant rotated while we ate.I met either Chip or Dale on a ferry. At The Great Movie Ride at Disney MGM Studios Angie Dickson was sitting a couple of rows behind to my left. She played detective Sergeant Suzanne "Pepper "Anderson. She was doing some kind of Christmas program at EPCOT. I have been to Disney World three times. Last time was in 2003 when we took my mother. I was also there for the 25th Anniversary of Disney World. Glad to see had a good time. You were like a little kid again.
Ok I’m not crying watching you experience Disney Magic. Sweet Child (see what I did there 😊) I’m fifty something and I still get tears when I go to Disneyland. It is truly my happy place and the only thing better than being there is watching someone find the magic for the first time (young or slightly less young 😉) I cannot thank you and hubbins enough for sharing this magical day with us. The funny thing about Space Mountain is that it's actually one of the slower coasters that tops out at only 35mph. It's just the dark and lights and tight turns that makes it feel much faster.
I saw Happily Ever After in 2017 on my first trip and me and my 14 year old daughter were both crying all through it. It was so magical walking in and seeing the castle for the first time.
At Disneyland -- my only trip there -- I tried to ride the Indiana Jones ride THREE TIMES. The first two it broke down after about an hour in line and they closed it for the day. The third time FINALLY I got to ride it. It was worth it.
A 23 minute smile. My face hurts. I can't tell you the amount if times a ride has grown while i was on it. I got ptsd several times during this lol. The only time they ever let us it was in pooh. That was fun walking thru it tho
I can't believe that I was glued to the screen watching someone else's vacation! This was an unexpected delight. Turns out you were born just a few days before my daughter. Also, my spouse first saw Disneyworld when she was 28; I took her there about 7 months after we got married. :) Looking forward to seeing the Epcot video.

It's all about the magic.... Loved your first visit to WDW. With that thought in mind, may you one day make the pilgrimage to the place that Walt built, worked, and lived in... the OG that started it all: Disneyland (Anaheim, CA). There are some similarities, and yet many more, and welcomed, differences found at historic Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, and the Downtown Disney shopping district, to justify a multi day visit. FYI: at 53, a SoCal local, and a long time DL passholder (so regular visits each month is my norm), embrace your tears of joy. The magic is real.

I am so happy for you Ashleigh! One, for your birthday and two, for your first time to The Magic Kingdom. I went when I was 6 years old, so I don''t remember that much at all. I almost don't even count it. But in 1999 I went back for my "first" time, I was 31 then. And I caught the Disney bug hard! From between 1999 and 2005, I wen't at least 3 time a year! I've calmed down since then, but still go every few years. I proposed to my wife right there at the wishing well near Cinderella's Castle in 2005. So to say that Walt Disney World means a lot to me is a gross understatement! It's the one place in the world that I can truely leave all my troubles at the gate while I'm there and the world feels wonderful.
Glad you had so much fun. I’m 48 and my wife and I go at least once a year, but it helps we have a couple of timeshares at Disney. It never gets old. And drinking around the world, especially around St. Patty’s day is amazing!!

Happy Belated Birthday! I took my daughter, granddaughter, and wife in 2017. They had never been, and I had only been once in the early 70s. We had the best time, and made so many great memories. I still love looking at our photos. So glad you got to go! Props to y😮our hubbin for being such a great guy. He spoils you, haha!😊
You went there with the perfect attitude, getting immersed adds to the experience. FYI if you're staying at a Disney hotel they can send any of your purchases right to your room without having to carry them around the park. If that's still a thing.
Late comment, but -- Welcome to the club of WDW fans! When I was a little kid, my family vacationed in Tampa every year, but we never got to WDW. Then my first niece was born -- I was 15 -- and we went. I got tired of it when I was in my 20s, but got over that quick. For a few years it was my annual destination. My mom was such a fan she had an annual pass -- despite living in Cincinnati. She actually got her money's worth out of it.

I'm glad I was not trying to do a drinking game for every time you use a swear word in this video I would been intoxicated possibly alcohol poisoning. @@awkwardashleigh2 If you're taking a family of 6 to 8. The fort wilderness 'cabins' are a great place to stay. You do need a car or golf cart rental to get around IMHO. Tho, I live in the woods the nephew and niece loved it...even feeding the begging bunnies at the picnic table outside the 'trailer home' or at that friken bus stop 30 min wait. I'd go for monorail loop, poly or contemporary if It was just me and hubby.
No matter what age you are it's okay to live that fantasy in a Disney park. Greet the characters, praise the princess and beware of the evil queen.. br the way she's amazing

I've never been to Walt Disney World, but I have been to Disneyland only 5 times. The last time with my Dad (a few years before he passed away in 2017). And My Sister and her kids and grandkids. My Grand niece skipped a huge line 😂to see Cinderella (her favorite Princess). Cinderella was so gracious to this little girl. She gave her a big hug. I think she was like 5. I first went with my Dad and Mom and Sister when I was 7 maybe. My older sister cried because all the animals were fake. In 1976, My Sister and Dad and me went. We got to dance while KC and the Sunshine Band played their song Celebration live
The only time I have been to Disney was for the senior year school trip. I rode small world at 1 am after being awake for nearly 24 straight hours and being at universal all day. Can confirm, small world is nightmare fuel at that point.
You should consider coming down and meeting my sisters and I for the Halloween party Disney throws, you can cosplay, eat all sorts of special numnums and meet the villains with us! (Also: you passed up a couple of the Dole Whip stands during your video)

Well as long as you DON'T scamper, gambol, or cavort, we will not have ANY problems. ))) On Cinderella's Castle, it is slightly different in each park around the world. Yes, it is much bigger than the original at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA. Happy for you that you got to get on the Little Mermaid ride and meet Areial and the other princesses. You did great and properly behaved. On Space Mountain, "I'm scared... Ooh sh*t, ooh sh*t, ooh sh*t... I don't want to do Space Mountain anymore..." A few minutes after the ride, "I am DEFINITELY doing it again." ))) Yes, there is a difference between Theme and Amusement (Thrill) parks. Theme are more geared towards kids and low thrill adults. Amusement are more geared towards adults. 'scary' rides, and pushing the adrenaline rush. Small World is a little 'cheesy'. but it was mainly made to show children (and kids of any age) the wonders of the cultures of people from around the world and to be more accepting of differences. The animatronics there were pretty simple and not as 'eye catching as some of the new stuff. About 'Thunder Mountain' and rollercoasters in general, sitting in the very first few or last few carts / seats will make the ride more 'scary', thrilling, and exciting than sitting towards the middle, (for future reference). Don't worry about crying at the park or at the fireworks show. This is very common in some adults. They are MAINLY crying from the inner child in their memory that wish to be able to be there as a young boy or girl but couldn't. Now that they are living THAT long held wish, it can overwhelm some people with emotions of accomplishment of a long-held dream / desire, SO they cry for the wonderment of such reached goal. VERY happy for you that you got to share it with Hubben (Blake). You two are a dear and sweet couple. Some of us hope to someday be able to have the same type of relationship as you too have. Never forget to value and appreciate each other and don't get complacent and start to take each other for granted. Can't wait to see more of your adventures. Again, THOSAND congratulations and hugs for you on your birthday journey. Your community appreciates and loves you for the remarkable and adorable person you TRULY are. Remember that You Are Worthy!!

If you love Thanksgiving food, Liberty Tree Tavern is the best place for lunch at the Magic Kingdom. If you believe there's no such thing as "too much food."
If you ever get to the Magic Kingdom again, after leaving you might consider a little side trip by bus to check out the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge resort. It's worth the trip, just to look around. You've never seen such incredible rustic beauty in your life.
Glad you had an awesome time there! I LOVE Disney, ESPECIALLY Mickey Mouse (I do have a Mickey tattoo as well!!). I just haven't been able to get many Disney or Mickey things due to finances. Have been to both DisneyLand and Sea World in California in 1987 and Disney World and Epcot (DW and Epcot was in high school for a band trip in 1990 and one day at each is NOT enough time and really want to go back to both CA and FL, but not alone and finances haven't let me)! LOVED the reaction on Space Mountain and was a favorite ride for quite a few of the groups I was with!
So happy for you. Looks like you had soooo much fun ☺️. I finally went to Disney World for the very first time last year (2023) at the age of 45. Even though, I was grateful for my aunt & uncle taking me & paying for the entire trip, it just extremely sucked that unfortunately they ended up ruining it for me. The saddest part is that I waited all that time for my dream trip only to get it ruined by my aunt constantly pushing my buttons to the point I honestly just wanted to go home. My fondest memory from that trip will always be meeting Snow White (who was my most meet character, mainly because she was my beloved grandma's favorite) & I cried the whole time. It's my extreme hope that I'll be able to afford to go again someday, because I feel that I definitely deserve a redo, especially considering that the reason that it took me soooo long to finally go was because I gave up soooooooo very much just to care for my illing father who passed away in 2022.

When I went there - back before the invention of dirt - we had a full blown dinner in the castle. it was a huge restaurant.

Grew up & spent a combined 22yrs of my 40, living in FL. I've been to Magic Kingdom & Epcot hundreds of times each (because adult money in your 20s & resident passes were cheap). I could smell the park when you were walking in. 😂 Can't do Space Mountain anymore. I'm too tall & have good night/dark vision. I could see the beams passing over my head.

I've never been to Walt Disney World, but I have been to Disneyland only 5 times. The last time with my Dad (a few years before he passed away in 2017). And My Sister and her kids and grandkids. My Grand niece skipped a huge line 😂to see Cinderella (her favorite Princess). Cinderella was so gracious to this little girl. She gave her a big hug. I think she was like 5. I first went with my Dad and Mom and Sister when I was 7 maybe. My older sister cried because all the animals were fake. In 1976, My Sister and Dad and me went. We got to dance while KC and the Sunshine Band played their song Celebration live
I also went in1983 Graduation 🎓 Night.
The only time I have been to Disney was for the senior year school trip. I rode small world at 1 am after being awake for nearly 24 straight hours and being at universal all day. Can confirm, small world is nightmare fuel at that point.
You should consider coming down and meeting my sisters and I for the Halloween party Disney throws, you can cosplay, eat all sorts of special numnums and meet the villains with us! (Also: you passed up a couple of the Dole Whip stands during your video)

On Cinderella's Castle, it is slightly different in each park around the world. Yes, it is much bigger than the original at Disneyland in Anaheim, CA.

Yes, there is a difference between Theme and Amusement (Thrill) parks. Theme are more geared towards kids and low thrill adults. Amusement are more geared towards adults. 'scary' rides, and pushing the adrenaline rush.
Small World is a little 'cheesy'. but it was mainly made to show children (and kids of any age) the wonders of the cultures of people from around the world and to be more accepting of differences. The animatronics there were pretty simple and not as 'eye catching as some of the new stuff.
About 'Thunder Mountain' and rollercoasters in general, sitting in the very first few or last few carts / seats will make the ride more 'scary', thrilling, and exciting than sitting towards the middle, (for future reference).
Don't worry about crying at the park or at the fireworks show. This is very common in some adults. They are MAINLY crying from the inner child in their memory that wish to be able to be there as a young boy or girl but couldn't. Now that they are living THAT long held wish, it can overwhelm some people with emotions of accomplishment of a long-held dream / desire, SO they cry for the wonderment of such reached goal.
VERY happy for you that you got to share it with Hubben (Blake). You two are a dear and sweet couple. Some of us hope to someday be able to have the same type of relationship as you too have. Never forget to value and appreciate each other and don't get complacent and start to take each other for granted.

If you love Thanksgiving food, Liberty Tree Tavern is the best place for lunch at the Magic Kingdom. If you believe there's no such thing as "too much food."
If you ever get to the Magic Kingdom again, after leaving you might consider a little side trip by bus to check out the lobby of the Wilderness Lodge resort. It's worth the trip, just to look around. You've never seen such incredible rustic beauty in your life.

Glad you had an awesome time there! I LOVE Disney, ESPECIALLY Mickey Mouse (I do have a Mickey tattoo as well!!). I just haven't been able to get many Disney or Mickey things due to finances. Have been to both DisneyLand and Sea World in California in 1987 and Disney World and Epcot (DW and Epcot was in high school for a band trip in 1990 and one day at each is NOT enough time and really want to go back to both CA and FL, but not alone and finances haven't let me)! LOVED the reaction on Space Mountain and was a favorite ride for quite a few of the groups I was with!

So happy for you. Looks like you had soooo much fun ☺️. I finally went to Disney World for the very first time last year (2023) at the age of 45. Even though, I was grateful for my aunt & uncle taking me & paying for the entire trip, it just extremely sucked that unfortunately they ended up ruining it for me. The saddest part is that I waited all that time for my dream trip only to get it ruined by my aunt constantly pushing my buttons to the point I honestly just wanted to go home. My fondest memory from that trip will always be meeting Snow White (who was my most meet character, mainly because she was my beloved grandma's favorite) & I cried the whole time. It's my extreme hope that I'll be able to afford to go again someday, because I feel that I definitely deserve a redo, especially considering that the reason that it took me soooo long to finally go was because I gave up soooooooo very much just to care for my illing father who passed away in 2022.
This is something I didn't know I needed to see. so happy for you to finally get to go. It's magical at any age.
