Selling Your Bike? DON'T MAKE THESE MISTAKES!!! 😱🤑
I actually want to sell my 2006 BMW R1200GS Adventure and in this video I show you how you can sell ANY bike quickly and for a lot of money. Follow these instructions at your own peril! 😉
All jokes aside, the bike is actually for sale. You can watch the whole playlist to find out more about the bike here: th-cam.com/video/D4U6A3RUd5Q/w-d-xo.html
For the ad:

- New RockFox lower crash bars
- New adjustable clutch and front brake levers (originals incl.)
- OEM topbox

2005 Toyota Condor 3000D 4x4 TX | Honest Review by Long-Term Owner
มุมมอง 3K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
The Toyota Kijang, or Condor as it is known in South Africa, is the 4th generation of the Toyota Utility Vehicle (TUV). This is probably the most under-rated vehicle Toyota ever produced. This 3000D 4x4 TX Condor has been in the family since new and I've done many thousands of miles in it. #toyotakijang #toyotalandcruiser #4x4

Have you tried resetting the ecu? On mine it requires removing battery negative for few minutes and reconnect. Then open and close throttle twice while engine is off. Then the ECU will relearn the fuel mapping after a few kilometers. It worked for me. Good luck

I was seriously considering an older GS, but a few things convinced me to go with a Japanese bike (Super Tenere). 1. Frequency of valve adjustments, they are easy, but too frequent for an adventure bike (if you ride a lot, you'll be adjusting the valves at least twice a year, 40000km on the Yamaha and most report they are still in spec at that mileage). 2. At around 100000km, plenty have had their clutches replaced (you have to split the bike in to and it's thousands $$$) 3. Fuel gauges stop working, just like the ABS, fuel gauge is a couple hundreds to fix, but ABS can be thousands. 4. Drive shaft failures are not uncommon on the higher mileage ones. 5. I went to try a 2006 with barely 50000km on it, the boots on the drive shaft were dried up, all the plastics on the bike were dried up, I've never seen a bike with so little mileage age so poorly. 6. 4 buttons for the indicators is insane, and hard to get used to if you ride multiple bikes. As a tall rider, this bike was really on the top of my list, but at the price they are selling used, if you have one of the things above fail, it ends up being a very expensive bike not worth any more. I'd probably buy one new, and sell it when it's out of warranty :)

Anyhoo, I swear I could go forever on a tank of gas with that bike. I ended up selling it and getting a XR650R. After uncorking the XR650R, you have a rocket. A person would have to be very confused to even compare these 2 bikes. XR650L hasnt changed in a long, long time, and is based on a XR600 from even a longer time ago. A soft mushy slow japanese econon boxer that over heats it's top end and smokes it if ridden too hard too long. The subframe is welded on and breaks with any kind of load. The bike vibrates hard and has no highway gearing...........econo box bike. The newer 690's absolutely kick ass, but many dont need that, they need sedate and cheap. Rattly old air cooled bikes with bold new graphics every year. Cheap/cheap.

I had a 2004 - 2.4GX petrol Condor. Best value for money ever! I installed an additional petrol tank ( total fuel capacity of 120litres) also installed a Toyota bakkie bullbar and two swing arm-type spare wheel brackets on mine. Toured Namibia, Botswana, Mozambique, Lesotho and Swaziland with it. Also went all over SA in it - snowy mountain passes around Rhodes etc. Followed the Pajeros and Navaras wherever they went. Even up the Naukluft mountain pass in Namibia. It was as big as a cave when I removed the 2nd and 3rd row seats. Traded it at 300k kilos for a LC 76 and found that the Condor had more space inside! I sometimes wonder if it is still running somewhere🤔

We had a few of the 3000D 4x4 Condors underground on the coal mines in Witbank and when you see the abuse they were subject to then I can assure you your vehicle still has another 50 years or more life left in it

You were the problem, not the bike. Why didn't you learn mechanics and prepare? You cannot say the bike is unreliable, it is you, you are useless. You never just renew the chain, you swap the set. Nice story though...honest, thanks.

Could you fit 16 inch rims with taller tyres to raise it a little? You would lose acceleration but the top end would be better and ground clearance would improve.

    • @GreaseAndGravel
      @GreaseAndGravel 16 วันที่ผ่านมา

I did a lot of research on ways to raise it a little. Some people fitted Camil Suspension (none of the well known brands made parts for it) which meant you could fit 215/80R15s and with some body lift and mods, maybe even 245/75R15s. But 16inch rims is a bit big and the lack of power would make it struggle.

Toyota Tamaraw/Innova a Asian Utility Vehicle in the Philippines. Very popular family vehicle. Driven one a diesel variant, easy to drive like a tall car.

Chinese products are like car exhaust in a city. Its everywhere and small doses are unavoidable. However, I see no reason to suck on an exhaust pipe by spending large sums on CCP products.

I have a 2023 chinese icebear leo. Clone of the honda z50j gurilla. Roughly 700 miles in the past year and a half with no issues. This past month i did a ton of upgrades on it like bigger 150cc engine, rebuilt the front forks for more preload and longer rebound, extended swing arm, k75 tires, homemade high flow exhaust, ect. Rides even better now. That mini bike is the most fun thing ive ridden on a road.

125ccm to 250ccm single piston is a sweet spot region most western riders miss out on as they are used to more HP and ccm. For slow long distance travel, these smaller bikes have a far better fuel mileage at similar load capacity. Same goes for Chinese bikes - the are dated knockoffs but the bits are well know and easy to source - the base is either a Honda CB or Suzuki GN style engine usually. Where they are common, every local mechanic will be plenty familiar.
