Selling Your Bike? DON'T MAKE THESE MISTAKES!!! 😱🤑
I actually want to sell my 2006 BMW R1200GS Adventure and in this video I show you how you can sell ANY bike quickly and for a lot of money. Follow these instructions at your own peril! 😉
All jokes aside, the bike is actually for sale. You can watch the whole playlist to find out more about the bike here: th-cam.com/video/D4U6A3RUd5Q/w-d-xo.html
For the ad:
2006 R1200GS Adventure in excellent condition. Papers in my name and license just renewed until 31 May 2025.
- New drive shaft boots front and rear
- New Metzeler Karoo tires front and rear
- New custom bash plate (original incl.)
- New RockFox lower crash bars
- New adjustable clutch and front brake levers (originals incl.)
- OEM topbox
- Drive shaft recently serviced
- Valve clearance recently set
- New Telelever ball joint boot
- Spares and tools: 2x oil filters, oil filler cap tool, front axle removal tool, Bridgestone Trailwing front and rear (50% tread)
- Seats and tank immaculate condition
- ABS pump removed (it still works and will be included, but did the mod for reliability)
- Only issue: Faulty fuel strip (so display doesn't show fuel and range left)
I rode it 2000km in 2 days without any issues last year. See: th-cam.com/video/D4U6A3RUd5Q/w-d-xo.html
R69500 slightly negotiable. Very reluctant sale! :)
Ps. I can potentially deliver in Gauteng on request...

2005 Toyota Condor 3000D 4x4 TX | Honest Review by Long-Term Owner
มุมมอง 3.5K2 หลายเดือนก่อน
The Toyota Kijang, or Condor as it is known in South Africa, is the 4th generation of the Toyota Utility Vehicle (TUV). This is probably the most under-rated vehicle Toyota ever produced. This 3000D 4x4 TX Condor has been in the family since new and I've done many thousands of miles in it. #toyotakijang #toyotalandcruiser #4x4

Once, I was traveling in the south of my country (Argentina) and had a problem with the clutch, which delayed me due to repairs. The bike, a TTR125 modified for street use, was ready on Saturday at 4 PM, and I had to be at work at 8 AM on Monday, 1600 km away (Bariloche - Buenos Aires). I left and rode all night at 80 km/h until 3 AM when I stopped, slept on the side of the road, and set off again at 6 AM. I got home at 1 AM on Monday, completely cramped and exhausted. I was younger and could do these things; today, I don't think it's possible, and I would ask for another day off to travel more relaxed. These experiences help form a bond with the bike, and what better way to do it than how you did, covering 2000 km in 2 days.

I used mine to commute on a 2 lane mountain road (Ortega Hwy, from San Juan Capistrano to Lake Elsinore) for almost 30,000, never had a problem...until yesterday. Transmission. I've ridden freeways and, aside from becoming a little uncomfortable after a few hours, it rides fine up to 80-85. I don't mind hitting that speed, but i won't keep it there long. I normally ride 65 to 70 on the freeway and it's always felt pretty good. It does burn some oil. And riding up and down the mountain, 45 to 50 mpg. The only issue i ever had is when I don't have a knobby on the front, in the dirt it can be treacherous. It washes out so easily and, between the weight and torque, it's fun to keep it upright. Now as for my transmission. I don't know transmissions at all, I haven't worked on a bike in over 40 years, but I've got TH-cam!

Thanks for taking your time to gather the data. Very interesting. I don't ride a motorcycle because I'm not interested in speed or power. I find it easier to mount and work the controls on a scooter. When I get on a scooter, my goal is to have a slow, leisurely, fun ride. When on a 250 cc or less scooter, I can twist the throttle as hard and quick as possible, and all I get is a nice acceleration that isn't jerky, and won't throw me off the seat. But to each their own.

Amazing journey, well done! A couple of years ago a friend of mine turned up at my place with 2 Chinese Motomia Enzo 150’s on a trailer, they looked like cloned Honda CG125 delivery bikes that I got my bike driving licence on in the late 70’s. The bikes had been abandoned and left out in the open in a garden Cape Town for more than 2 years. They looked in a terrible condition, both with over 10,000kms on the clock. He said to me, fix one of them up for me and you can have the other one, got all the legal paperwork for them. I was pretty doubtful of these Chinese bikes and of ever getting them going again owning a KLR650 and XR650L myself. I installed new Batteries, changed the oil, bled the front brake lines, cleaned the carbs, fixed the front disk calipers and replaced the sprockets and chains (which were dirt cheap). Got a tube of Autosol and polished all the rust off the chromed bits. A bit of a clean and polish and they look good again. Got them both going, I used one as my daily commute to work in Cape Town for 18 months, never had a days trouble with it, when the other one I fixed for my friend got stolen, I gave him my one, he rode it for almost a year before selling it.

I've been driving a LJ-80. A predecessor of the Samurai. These Suzuki's are the most honest, basic universal cars bringing you from A to B. Off Road if needed. 800cc four banger engine. 39 hp. I wish I'd still have it.

No chance I want to sit on a Chinese bike, this guy must be joking, remember he sprays w-40 into the front disc brake. Taiwanese bikes are much safer. But I stick with the Japanese bikes for my safety. Do Not ride on Chinese bikes.

Safety has many variables. These bikes were safe enough (maybe not their riders). We had 650cc Japanese and German bikes which would have not been safer due to higher speeds that would have been possible. I would do it on a Chinese bike again, mostly for parts availability.

One thing you didn't mention is protection. I've been riding motorcycles for years and got my first scooter, an Xmax 300 last month. Many years ago I was hit by a car. It hit my kinda sideways, first hit me in the front and then smashed my ankle between the bike and car. If I had a scooter I'm pretty sure my ankle would have been fine. And if you go down and slide on a regular motorcycle, you can get serious injuries while you are somewhat protected on a scooter.

Nice video, I too have a suzuki 1990 sierra that I daily drive, owned for 15 years/300,000km, I also own a 200 series Land cruiser, prefer to drive the sierra as more fun to drive down here in Australia.

Wow, 300 000km! That is amazing. We've had this one in the family since 2007. Thanks for watching. The LC200 is one of my dream vehicles (along with the 76).
