    I will never rent a car from them ever again. Me and my sister both prepaid for a car on the same weekend. She was going to Florida and I was going to Houston Texas. She picked her car up the day before I picked up mine. They told her that her chime card wouldn't work... Keep in mind she already paid for the rental car with her chime card... I also paid for my rental car with my chime card. She ends up having to go somewhere else to rent a car... And took forever to get her money back for the rental car she had already paid for. I got lucky.. so I thought! Mine went through and all the sudden they didn't have a problem with chime cards that next day. I returned the car and 10 days went by without getting my deposit back. Which was weird considering Enterprise usually gives me my money back as soon as I return the car. Sometimes it takes a few minutes and sometimes it takes less than an hour. I tried calling the office and they never answered for days and days. I live almost 45 minutes from Hertz rental car. Finally I got somebody to answer the phone finally after 10 days. They apologized and didn't know why it didn't finalize everything. They basically had it in the computer as if I still had the car and hadn't returned it yet . Only had the car for 3 days... And never even got my full deposit back. They also charged me for a fourth day plus they charged me the insurance for the 4th day... They said I would get all of that back if I only needed the car for 3 days. All together it was supposed to be a little over $300 that would go back on my card. But instead I got like a $120 back on my card. After 10 days of calling and being on hold with billing department... I finally said fukk it ... I'm sick of dealing with them. I will definitely never rent a car from them. And I'm definitely going to Warn as many people as I can so it doesn't happen to anybody else

      Just to give an update... It's been 12 days since I rented the car and they finally gave me the full amount back! After spending hours on hold with customer service... Finally I've gotten all of the $330 back

    I’d be curious to see this over time. I have a feeling that the numbers would be even better than what you have found so far. It would make sense to me that the battery is not likely starting truly at 100% at the beginning anyway. I would think it could last even longer using DC fast charging.

    If ECO mode is useless then why does it effects range when switching from ECO to Normal? My EV6 it’s like a 25-30 mile difference when toggle between modes. I use ECO in the city traffic is bad here so I like the slower pedal for that on the highway I use normal I rarely use sport unless on fwy with little or no traffic for fun

    I'm sorry but I hate these videos. My range while I'm in the city is amazing, but once you start on the highway it drops. Let's stop pretending like you know something special. Everyone's driving conditions matter more than the mode you're in. If I drove in the city all the time I would show an awesome range too.

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee 5 วันที่ผ่านมา

      If the ioniq 5 only had one non configurable regen setting like Teslas, then I would agree with you. Which is why there are no 'regen' settings videos for Tesla and not too many range tip videos for Teslas. However, the Ioniq 5 has multiple regen settings plus the ability to coast with no regen. It also has the ability to disconnect the front motor provided you understand how the drive modes and regen settings work together/can override each other. All of these things if used correctly can definitely increase range, quite significantly might I add on the highway. If used incorrectly your range will suffer. Imagine driving a steady 70 mph with both motors active for 2 hours straight when you could have done that entire drive using a single motor. Also fun fact, my Tesla model y gets better efficiency on the highway than city driving. Quite the opposite of the ioniq 5 which sees efficiency drop like a rock on the highway.

      @@CarsJubilee First off, rereading this, it sounds a lot more mean spirited than I intended so apologies for that. I have done at least 20k miles worth of long distance road trips and again, the mode you're in is not a big factor. The speed you're traveling and the temperature outside are so much more impactful to the range than anything else that I get frustrate when I see videos like this. Nothing you're saying is incorrect so my response was too harshly worded so again I apologize.

      AdSense decides on the ads, I'm not setting it. Which issues have been resolved??? More and more 12v batteries dying each day, FB group has new posts every day about it. Service appts near me are on avg still 30-60 days out. Bluelink is still unreliable and glitchy, per usual. I have the same app run by Blue Link for my gv60 and it's ridiculously bad. It's a cool car that I enjoyed but the purpose of the channel is to share the good and the bad. Hyundai has not fixed any of those 3 issues.

    what car did you have before, or what car do you think is a perfect car, when it comes to build quality?

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee 10 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I've had all sorts of cars: Honda, Acura, Audi, Benz, Nissan, Infiniti, Mini, Volvo, Genesis and Tesla. In terms of fit and finish I never had any major nitpicks with any of them. Tesla had the most misaligned panel gaps but they fixed all of them to my satisfaction within 2 days. Hyundai had 1.5 years and about 7 attempts but they couldn't fix one single misaligned trunk panel. I've never had any cars under warranty where the manufacturer couldn't fix things within 1-2 visits. Hyundai/Genesis has been the outlier. I've taken things in 4, 5, 6 times even and they just can't get it right. Some of it is manufacturing issues where the actual hardware/software design is faulty. The other part is the dealerships not knowing how to properly fix things. I do think my Genesis GV60 is built beautifully. Very very good build quality but the servicing is still an issue as stated above.

      That bigger battery should really help get the ioniq 5 closer to the 300 mile range mark. Still won't quite get there with AWD doing 70mph but I think it'll get around 270-280 miles which is still decent range. Haha lots of people are also waiting for that wiper.

      Nice! It's 55 here on my local high highway but once I hit the toll roads it goes up to 70. I was getting around 280-290 going around 55-60mph so no doubt you will get 300 if you stick to that speed with the updated bigger battery.

    You must know that any Matte finish car will require special handling when washing the car. It will NEVER see the inside of a car wash unless they hand wash the car AND they have past experience in washing Matte finished cars. I bought an Merceds SL550 and had the entire front of the car clear wrapped. It cost about $2200. I highly recommend these finishes to anyone that is OCD or just plane neurotic. You will need to be since if you like your car in primo condition and be a real head-turner, you will need to be able to periodically wash the car with special soap and cloths. There is a spray can that is for matte finished cars for in between washes. I use it before heading out and helps to maintain the areas that hasn't been wrapped. Bottom line is: Never go to a car wash unless you know they can properly handle matte paints and never use sponges to wash your car since they may have debris in them that will scratch the paint. If that happens you will have a real rude awaking financially speaking.

    Hey Victor, another great video - thank you for posting it. I've owned my '23 Genesis GV70 EV Prestige for almost one year now and the vehicle has been absolutely perfect/awesome. I've experienced no instances of left turn or reverse phantom braking with my eGV70, but my previous '18 Audi Q5 certainly had these specific issues. I attributed the left turn phantom braking issue to flawed programming, and the random reverse phantom braking issue to an intermittently malfunctioning rear sensor. The Canadian market eGV70 doesn't get the Digital Key feature, so I can't complain about how it works. lol! I never use Fingerprint Start, so there's nothing for me to complain about there. The Genesis Canada smartphone app up here is quite different from the Genesis USA app, and it's been working really well for me. On my first drive in the eGV70 today I plan to experiment with a few things, including changing the setting for the brakes from "Comfort" to "Sport" in the Drive Mode menu in Vehicle Settings. As well, I'm going to play around again with regen braking - namely the various Auto regen settings together with using Max regen (left paddle pull & hold) for coming to a full stop. I may even play with the "Active Sound Design" (i.e. virtual driving sounds) settings to find the sound type & level that works "best" for me. And finally, no drive is complete until I use the Boost mode button at least once or twice! 😄 Have a good one - thanks again. Cheers Richard

    Mister Jubilee - I’m on the fence. I have an Ionic 6, I love the car, but need more cargo room. I knew this when I bought it but thought it could work out. Also, I really was not drawn to the Tesla. A year later, I’m ready to cut my losses. Either get a Model Y or Ionic 5 (both used). Do you like your Model Y better than the Ionic? What would you recommend?

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Both are good options. How much more cargo room do you need? In terms of interior space for occupants it's pretty close, both are spacious. In terms of cargo room, model y wins by a landslide thanks to the cavernous sub trunk and much bigger and easier to use frunk. I use the subtrunk and frunk every day. I rarely opened the ioniq 5 frunk and that subtrunk was barely a subtrunk at all. So if you need max cargo room the model y really does it best. I've really enjoyed the model y, tons of cargo space, excellent software and tech/app, and I easily get over 300 miles of highway range at 70mph. Ioniq 5 has the smoother ride and some extras like ventilated seats, automatic roof shade and of course the head turning looks. I also love the regen paddles. But going 70mph it's probably seeing 240-250 miles at best and just doesn't have the crazy cargo capacity of the model y. Both are good EVs, I might lean towards the Y for you if cargo space is the primary concern. Otherwise comes down to preferences like more range vs extra creature comforts.

      @@CarsJubilee Thanks so much. First off, I’ve come from mid-sized SUVs (MDX, RX350, X5) and so I was fooling myself getting the Ionic 6. I’m a new homeowner so I find my self at IKEA and Home Depot a lot. The cargo space would help tremendously. I think the model Y would perfect for that. But I love the seats in the Ionic and having the knobs etc. plus it seems like a better build to me - don’t have much experience on Tesla so thanks for helping out. Before the value of my Ionic 6 gets any lower, I need to act. Thanks again

      @CarsJubilee 20 วันที่ผ่านมา

      You're welcome! Haha I completely understand, we had an XC60 and XC90 before jumping into these EVs. The Model Y is smaller than my XC90 but holds more cargo, it's pretty crazy how much you can fit in. Build quality does feel better with the Ioniq 5 but it's not immune to squeaks and rattles either. It may come down to each specific car and whether the previous owner had all the squeaks and rattles serviced away for both cars. If it was built well and serviced right, the model y can feel just about on par with the ioniq 5 in build quality so your test drive will matter a lot. Make sure to drive them down some bumpy roads haha. If it's within budget, most people including me have had really good experiences with 2023 and newer Model y. There's more sound insulation by 2023 and it just feels like the factories have finally figured out how to build solid cars. That's too bad about the ioniq 6 not quite being enough space, very very cool looking car haha

    Hyundai isn't known for reliability (or retaining their value) according to many TH-cam mechanics. So why would you buy a new one when for a bit more money you could have a Toyota or Honda? Take care

    • @CarsJubilee
      @CarsJubilee 19 วันที่ผ่านมา

      Toyota and Honda 2 years ago did not have an EV on the market. They do now but the Toyota bz4x is quite lackluster while the Honda prologue is actually a Chevy blazer EV that's been reskinned. I still find the Hyundai group EVs to be more appealing options than the Toyota Honda counterparts.

    Easy.. don't buy one. My AMC 242 is guaranteed to last 400,000 miles without any major problems. My vehicle was built in the 90s and it still runs perfect. Repairs are dirt cheap. I can replace my entire engine for $6,000.

      Can you seat a family and luggage in your AMC? Can you do the 1/4 mile in 11 seconds in your AMC? Can you drive 1000 miles a month for roughly $60 bucks in your AMC?

    • @bryanshoemaker6120
      @bryanshoemaker6120 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @andrewmcmillan8110 AMC is an engine type. I can pack an entire house in this vehicle. I drive through blizzards on a regular basis. I can drive up the side of a mountain. My engine typically is running for 18 hours a day non-stop. $60? That price tag is temporary. Supply and demand. The more people who buy electric cars the more money you are going to pay to charge yours. The average repair bill on the electric car is roughly $30,000. If it can be repaired and that is a big if it turns out . The most extreme repair bill on my vehicle would be $6,000.

      @@bryanshoemaker6120 sounds like you have a vehicle with an engine that suits you. My EV suits me just fine and saves lots of money on gas compared to my truck and my wife’s car. I just have the added benefit of 0-60 in 3.1 seconds. I also have a widebody turbo LS foxbody if I want to take out. The best part about the EV is I can depreciate it for my business so it costs me next to nothing. I also have a stupid long bumper to bumper warranty so nothing will come out of my pocket for repairs.

    • @bryanshoemaker6120
      @bryanshoemaker6120 23 วันที่ผ่านมา

      @andrewmcmillan8110 I'm sure somebody could make a good EV but nobody's making any good gasoline vehicles at the moment. 20,000 replace a heater core on a Land Rover. Suburban, $20 plastic part with a $4,000 repair bill. The new F-150. A little bit of moisture got into the tail light lens which then cause a systemic crash. It starts with your windows not rolling down. Slowly over a week other systems starts crashing and then your entire truck is dead. 40,000 repair bill. Just a little bit of moisture. My 1976 American Clipper has a thick layer of moss growing on the fuse box. It don't care. I'm not Ev hater although anybody thinks that they're going to save the planet by driving an electric vehicle is delusional. For the millions in my area it's about survivability. If you break down there is no calling AAA, no 911. If your vehicle breaks down then there is a very high probability of death. Half of the summer there is no electricity due to Fire and half of the winter there's no electricity due to blizzards. That's if you even have a power grid. I'm off grid. The most popular vehicles here are the 1996 Cherokee and Grand Cherokee both with the AMC 242 and there was a lot of various 70s with the 440 under the hood. Both are well known for survivability. The newer vehicles are such a problem that we are literally scouring the entire country for key vehicles, completely broken down even. We are spending many thousands, tens thousands of dollars rebuilding these things.

    Looking at getting a GV60 for the wife next year so appreciate the tips. Interesting that the AWD EVs pretty much use the same logic as Hyundai's HTRAC AWD in their ICE vehicles (I have a Santa Cruz) but use the opposite drive wheels. On my Santa Cruz it stops sending power to the rear if you don't press the accelerator very hard. Even if you "lock" the vehicle in AWD mode it auto cancels over 37 MPH / 60 KPH to save fuel. Oddly the Santa Cruz doesn't have an Eco mode, only Normal, Sport and Snow. And no way I would be limiting the A/C here in FL even if it did gain some range, its just too darn hot most of the time.

I did find a work around- for mine I have to 'wake' the car up (unlock or lock) and make sure the status is updated to within a few minutes. Then any if thr climate start features work every time. It's interesting to see many drivers of very fast EV cars (AWD Ioniq 5/6, EV6, etc, etc) advocate driving slowly and not engaging in traffic light grand prix. Maybe you guys have snowy winters and can't live without AWD, but wouldn't it be better to buy the RWD and ignore the 320+ BHP stuff. I am about to buy an Ioniq 6, drove the AWD yesterday, and feel that only ECO mode suited my EV driving style. A 1 second cut in acceleration time would be ideal for me. But the 2.5 second reduction in 0-60 is not worth the extra cost of the car, drop in efficiency, and extra weight. Especially when I won't actually use it. Are there any RWD drivers smirking at the moment?
