I am glad you posted this video because it supports two important facts: 1) Fit and finish is challenging, even for legacy car manufacturers. 2) The expectation for fit and finish quality is very high. I have bought 12 new cars throughout my life, including two BMWs and a Porche, and I never thought to check for panel gaps.
I don't feel like I've really checked either until I bought the Ioniq 5. The 2 gaps here just really caught my eye and after that I couldn't unsee it. I understand it's hard to get a perfect car fit & finish wise but my GV60 is pretty darn close. No noticeable uneven gaps etc. And considering the base price of a gv60 is almost the same as top spec price of an ioniq 5, I thought they would be pretty close.
I have a 2022 SEL and have had the following issues (delivered in July 2022): Steering wheel creaking. Replaced the whole assembly and now the stalks wiggle. Going in for another attempt at repair this week. Rear USB ports stopped working Hatch body color panel was warped on delivery. Still awaiting a repair. Driver door seal was like yours. Replaced in January and it's good now. Rattles from the passenger door (fixed with felt tape) Rattle from the hatch (mostly fixed with felt tape)
Whoa warped panel? I wonder if mine is warped and affecting the panel gaps. Sounds like a similar experience to mine, nothing that makes the car undrivable but lots of little things.
I have a i5 2023 here in Canada. I have the same trunk rattle, I found on the internet to put 2 roll of electric tape around each of the 4 black stopper on the lift gate. I’m still battling Hyundai to get a proper solution, but until at least there is no more noise. Might want to try that
I'm a firm believer in making use of my warranty :) in all seriousness I'm sure I could have done it myself but my car has gone in multiple times for other issues I figured I'd have them do it. It's finally fixed now! Update video is out this morning 8am est!
Hi when you insert the plug and have it on schedule charge not charging yet and lock the car is the plug locked? Because on mine it's not anyone could just pull out the plug.
I'm considering the ioniq 5 the mustang Mach e and the ID4. And I'm leaning towards the Hyundai. However, I'm worried about the over-the-air updates and the dealer support. Any feedback on the over-the-air updates, if any, that you've received within the last year?
Over the air updates do happen a few times a year but it's all pretty minor user interface changes to the center screen. It's better than nothing but it's truthfully not enhancing my ownership experience much. Dealer support has been pretty awful, 2-3 month wait for service appts so that inexperienced technicians can fumble around with my car. Living close to a good servicing dealership is pretty important if you are the type to bring it in for small issues like me. If you can ignore small issues and just want the best EV out of that group, I'd probably pick the ioniq 5. To me it looks the best, charges the quickest and has the best regen system. Though I've heard good things about the id4 seats for comfort haha
its been 3 months but DONT buy the mach e. I work for ford and its a shitshow. I have replaced so many batteries and modules because manufactures are rushing to pump these cars out. The R and D is the customer. Also you have to be certified to work on HV EVs so when we cant resolve an issue we have to contact engineering since they built it and 90 percent of the time its issues that they didnt even know could happen
@CarsJubilee Same here. I've brought it in to Hyundai twice regarding this issue. They say they aren't aware of any issues despite it being a common problem, but there's no bulletin on it here on canada. Recently it'll turn on everytime I unlock and open the door. This will last about 1 week then it'll stay off for about a 3 days before it starts again...
Honestly, the panel gap stuff while annoying once you see it, is pretty par for the course with more manufacturers than not. If you want immaculate panel gaps, buy Japanese made vehicles- they're the only ones who really seem to care enough about the quality of their work anymore.
I've seen some Hondas with some weird panel gaps/fitment too. My Genesis GV60 is immaculate, perfect panel gaps everywhere. Even most ioniq 5 don't look as bad as mine. Hyundai clearly can and is building these pretty well, mine just happened to be one of the worst ones. It's not a deal breaker but it feels like I got a bad one which is why I'm upset. But I do agree there are many cars on the road with panel gap issues etc.
My new Acura Integra has 2 minor panel gap issues...but seeing this video I think iam going to leave it alone...don't need the dealership make things worse
Japanese cars aren't any better lmao mine had a misaligned trunk and door panels rattled. Both fixed by me because I personally don't trust dealerships. I've worked at a few dealerships and I know and have seen how some techs work.
Hey Victor, I have a 2023 limited and yeah the tailgate does rattle in rough roads. Random question: have you had any issues with the profile not changing every time? I’ve had times when it “changed” and didn’t adjust the seat and other times when it did and the presets were for the other profile. I’ve also had presets not save. I really wish they would make the profile linked to the key fob (like my Audi) instead of a push button on the entertainment screen.
We only have one profile setup but it definitely does not change the seat position back ever. I've heard many complaints about user profiles not changing. I agree I had an audi where it was tied to the key being used too, that was a much better system.
Yes my dealership provides loaners for all warranty related work but I know that is not a corporate policy. Many Hyundai dealers simply don't provide loaners, so I would call around all the local certified dealers to see which ones do. For me it wouldn't work if they didn't provide me a car.
My eco mode is also pretty sluggish even though I haven't had the preconditionong update yet. I feel like it's always been sluggish. 0-40 mph in just under 8seconds. Not sure how yours was. I know the preconditonong update made lots of I5s have slow eco modes. Mine seems to have always been that way. No real power until it gets to about 20mph. As long as the car is moving its fine, but from a stop, it's brutal.
Ah sounds like you had slow eco mode from the factory. Is yours an early/late 2022 or 2023? My early 2022 model eco mode 0-60 was around 7.5 seconds, after update definitely felt just as you described. There is a new update out that fixes it, though as always dealerships are confused and may not know about it.
@CarsJubilee Early 2022. I received it in July of 2022 so it was probably built in early 2022. Do you know if there was a bulletin for it? I can't seem to find a copy to show the dealership. Thanks for all your content. So helpful!
@@10isking happy to help! There's an actual tab attachment in the thread. Hope it helps! www.ioniqforum.com/threads/usa-sluggish-eco-mode-fix-coming-out-feb-27-2023.45091/
I have not had any trouble with my Blue link App connection. I have a 2022 Hyundai Sonata. I know it's not a Ioniq 5, but maybe the software is different?
Ah very interesting, I know the Ioniq 5 app is a little bit more feature laden since it includes EV related things. But that's a good question about what is different. Maybe the module that communicates with the servers in the car is different too. Honestly not sure haha
Bro, you’re in my neighborhood! I’m debating between purchasing the Ioniq 5, the ioniq 6, and the EV6. It looks like you’re doing a lot of driving in the city. What kind of range are you getting?
Haha nice! If you ever charge at EA on ridge ave you may catch me charging there. I've been getting excellent range since I do predominantly city driving, from our neighborhood into all different parts of Philadelphia. In warm temperatures I was getting 340 to 350 miles of range. In the winter it's probably closer about 250-260. If you do a lot of highway driving at 70+ mph you'll get significantly less.
I have ordered a Model Year 2025 IONIQ 5 N line S AWD which won’t be delivered to me in the UK from S. Korea until mid-November 2024. After watching this video I’m VERY worried. I will certainly be taking a very close look at the fit and finish of the car before handing over the money! Thanks for the heads up! 👍
We were not lucky, however it was a persistent rattle I found eventually, caused by smashed plastic “plugs” in the boot to hold side panels in place after these were removed Ed to fit tow bar wiring and belted back on and breaking. Not an accident. Bloody annoying on a brilliant car. I found eventually what caused the rattle and dealer sent replacement “plugs”. Back to how was designed and assembled from the factory.
Hey Victor, I just got the 2023 limited with the dual motor awd. Speaking of things that are strange, my car only gets about 220 miles with a 100% charge. At 80%, I get about 185 miles. Your car appears to have way more range. Your thoughts on what I should do. I have the car for only about a week with approximately 800 miles, yeah I drive a lot.
Hey Kevin, congrats on the new car! Hmm could be quite a few different factors. What's your avg speed and avg temp recently? Also what's your avg mi/kwh? The range estimate takes a few charges to adjust to your recent driving habits so using your recent avg mi/kwh x 77.4 (usable battery size) is the more accurate way of determining your true range. I do mostly city commuting, rarely up to highway speeds.
@@CarsJubilee Thanks. OK I guess I am not making it clear. I guess what I’m trying to ask you is when you charge your car up to 80%, what is the total miles you get from that charge?
It depends on how I've been driving for the past few charge cycles and how the weather has been. In the winter at 80% charge with just normal commuting I'm probably seeing 230 miles or so. During the summer I'd see about 300 miles at 80%. If I road tripped recently then that throws my numbers off since my normal commute is much slower than highway speeds. That number that we call the Guess o Meter takes a while to calibrate to your driving. Plus driving speed and temperatures will change it drastically.
@@CarsJubilee Wow that’s interesting! Never knew that. I drive a lot on the freeway and I drive fast, averaging 75-80 mph. I live in California so the weather conditions aren’t extreme. I was thinking that there was something wrong with the battery. Than you!
You're welcome, ya that's your avg speed bringing down your estimate range. If you want to see close to 300 miles of range with mostly highway driving you'll probably have to drive closer to 50-60 mph.
I traded in my 11 year old civic for a 2023 Links 5 and my insurance only went up $12per month! I have not had any issues with the car except the paint seems to scratch easily.
So, given the issues...would you still recommend the ioniq 5? Does anyone know if these have gotten better on more recent cars? Thanks for the detailed 3 part review of your experience!
You're welcome! I think I would still recommend it. Looks great, drives great, most people don't seem to have many issues but for the few that do it can turn into a nightmare. So just a little bit of luck involved and making sure you don't buy it if the fit & finish is bad. The market has changed a lot since when I bought it. A year ago, with the tax credits the limited trim was a $50,000 EV which was probably the best deal around. Now things have flipped and it's one of the most expensive options compared to id4, machE, model y etc. I'm not sure that I would pick it over the competition if it costs more but it's a very solid choice still even now.
Blue link software people need to be fired. Don't know if you saw the new version that came out yesterday, but it now gives energy usage stats for EVs. Problem is the numbers are all wrong. The time of drive is shown in second and the actual time is in GMT not local time. It says the distance is in miles but it sure seems to be in kilometers. But worse yet, the energy usage per mile is just plain wrong. Mine showed yesterday, after assuming km not miles that I was getting 6.9 miles per KWh when the car is showing me about 4.2 mi/KWh. Epic fail.
Ya I don't understand why it's so bad. Seems like they keep pushing out untested software. I'm glad they are trying to improve it but I'd rather they take longer and provide a more finished or polished product. Sounds like the efficiency glitch in my gv60. I haven't had a chance to really try it with my ioniq 5, still with engineering, over a month now.
For the right price I do think so, personally I would still go for the top trim. I wanted the ventilated seats, 360 camera etc but typically I go for top trim cars when I can. With all the incentives going on, if you can get a Limited trim for around $50k then I think it's worth it. I don't think it's a $60k car though, which is roughly the msrp for it.
I’ve owned my 2023 I5 SEL for 2 months - I love it and have had very few issues. I agree Bluelink is terrible. My two biggest complaints are the no rear windshield wiper - I never thought I would miss that as much but the rear windshield gets filthy and after two weeks or so becomes impossible to see out the back unless I clean it. The second is the range with highway driving - I’ve only had the car for winter months so I’m hoping it will improve but driving 73 mph on the highway (in eco) drains the battery more than I would have expected and I don’t feel like driving slower just b/c I own an EV. It seems like a good portion of your issues have come from having the limited trim version, which is a shame b/c it should be better. Actually your video of the cracked roof made me happy I didn’t spring for the Limited b/c that seems like it’s been a huge hassle. Anyway, love the I5 and recommend it all the time.
@@andrewlarner6190 if it includes highway driving it’s around 200 miles. If it’s local driving closer to 240 I’d say. I’m averaging 3.2kw from Feb-present.
They look really cool and I was also interested, but Hyundai is simply not a brand to be trusted. They also cheap out on a lot of parts (plastics throughout the powetrain and weak suspension) that you average consumer is oblivious to until they are failing. There is no value proposition for Hyundai over Toyota or Honda
What else are you considering? I still think it's a really good EV. Every car is going to have it's own problems. I think Hyundai just hasn't really figured out how to service these things here in the US.
My 2022 Ioniq 5 is dead now, loud bang at back then no power. It has been at dealer 2 weeks waiting on a factory rep to tell them what is wrong. No one local will even try to look at it. I feel a Tesla is in my future.
Oh no :( that's sounds pretty scary. Engineering has their hands busy, will probably take a long time for an update. Teslas are in many peoples futures too haha
love this video, thanks for the details!. i love how you mentioned that these were minor issues, to be honest, i;ll probably miss most of these myself. Hope mine comes in soon! been 4 months :)
@CarsJubilee thanks! Got a call 2 days ago and might be one coming in for me in 3 weeks, knock on wood and cross my fingers that it comes!! But the awd ariyas are starting to show up in my area, saw some on the road and some at the dealership, another dealership has one awd ariya arriving but wants 10k mark up, I said no thx
Just saw my first Ariya in person street parked downtown a few days ago haha. Not bad looking, I'm definitely curious how it drives compared to the egmp lineup. But I'd agree not worth the 10k markup even without having driven it.
@CarsJubilee for sure. I'm curious also, but sat in one and at my height 5 11 and 3/4 it's not as spacious as the ioniq 5. I said to myself, put multiple deposits at different dealership see which one comes first, ev6, ariya or ioniq 5, seems like ioniq 5 is going to win this race, or so I hope. Don't want to put all my hopes and in 3 weeks it's the wrong car that arrives or it doesn't haha. So didn't cancel my other deposits yet. Thanks for all your awesome videos, been watching them multiple times
Hey Victor, it looks like this is at least in part one of those things where manufactures of cars and tech bring out new products where the initial products off the line are still beta whilst they refine parts, software, manufacture and quality control. I suppose people who have gotten more recent Ioniq 5's have gotten a better product from R & D of our Beta releases. The Pixel 7 is an example of a big step up from all of the new chip and camera tech in the Pixel 6 that needed refinement. Though those are different models all together, but the time between phone releases isn't that much so it is has some similarities to interim vehicle updates. I will have to update you about a rattle I mentioned before in the passenger row, when my car goes into servicing next week. Not hopeful though to be honest. I still like the car. If I was looking for a car of the same price now, it would still probably be the Ioniq 5, if I had a bit more probably a Genesis. I think Hyundai group is the place to go. Though, I think GM and Ford are coming out with some great new vehicles which are a step up from their old offerings. I am really interested to see long term reviews of the Lyric, that looks to be very luxurious for the money.
It really does feel like here in the US I'm a beta tester for the ioniq 5 and gv60. The engineers and service teams have never dealt with them before. I would hope the service dept and engineers in the UK are a bit better since. We didn't get any Ioniq 5s till about 1 year ago, I think you guys have had them for about 2 years? Definitely let me know how the rattle fix goes! I agree, other manufacturers are coming out with interesting products so Hyundai is going to have some pretty fierce competition all around. I'm very curious about the lyriq too, very competitive pricing.
@@CarsJubilee Yes, based on your videos it does seem like you are part of the quality control testing haha. It is interesting that manufacturers don't pick up on some obvious problems before production starts. Though Hyundai is one of the better car groups for quality/ reliability in their price range of course, as you know. I think the earliest ones other than press came perhaps Jan 2022, but few. Anything before that may have just been a few deliveries to say they are here. I got mine end of April last year. Where I live in. South Wales they were rare and a head turner. Now they are more common, though I am not sure the service staff would have done many annual services. I will have to keep you posted. Yes, it would be good to hear your thoughts on the Lyric when it comes more available. I doubt we will get that here, but I don't plan to stick around in Britain long term haha.
@@YoushaAhmad ooh interesting, I remember seeing some content creators in the UK who had the Ioniq 5 pretty early. Mr EV and Lemon Tea Lead I thought both had them in 2021 but I might be mistaken. Exciting to see all these new EVs, I just saw BYD's new EV is hitting the UK market. Wish I could try that out here haha.
@@CarsJubilee oh I didn't know that. I saw press reviews from here but not deliveries. Perhaps the first trickle where manufacturers can say they have deliveries. BYD seem to have some cheap offerings for the specs and tech, but I wonder about build quality and my biggest concern is the labour rights that go into making them in China at the low price.
I’m in manufacturing and trust me those who work on that particular car were lazy people who have no regard for customer satisfaction so they push it through even though they have been alerted by quality stops. Sorry you got that car so always do a thorough inspection before you take that car home, because I have 23 sel and so far so good.
Ahh that's too bad, they did a good job on the other parts of the car haha. Buying in Feb 2022 in the US meant I didn't really have a choice, it was take it or leave it and wait another 6 months possibly. So I took it, hoping Hyundai could fix whatever issues we came across. Sadly Hyundai USA has been a bit of a disappointment. Glad your 23 has been good, I feel like they caught this defect in manufacturing because all 23s I've seen have looked great.
I'm running out of cold days here, might have to revisit this next winter... You'd think video proof would be enough but dealers want to replicate it themselves.
@@CarsJubilee Totally agreed. I also had a video of the issue and the service manager indicated they need to replicate it on their end in order to file for warranty repair. Very frustrating. This is on top of the failed battery condition update which took another 3 weeks to convince them to manually install the TSB.
@@CarsJubilee this is something you may need to go into the dealership for. Based on your videos, you likely know everyone working in their service department
I didn't have any issues with the car thus far. Bluelink also regularly times out at me. I check after a minute and hit it again if it timed out. It always immediately works at the second attempt. Other than that, I had no Bluelink issues. The timing out issue has a somewhat amateurish vibe, but apart from that, the app, functionality, reliability and responsiveness of Bluelink is pretty darn good.
@@CarsJubilee No, not the slightest problem. It obviously won't work if the car or the phone has no reception, which is a very rare occasion in my country. I don't know if all Bluelink and Live services worldwide use the same server, but it sure makes sense. However, it still could be that different continents or regions use separate hardware of some kind, that was down for NA but not Europe?
@@adrianguggisberg3656 ah that is very interesting, different markets having different experiences with bluelink. We must have outdated servers or something haha.
Comparing to your Ioniq limited, do you think the Genesis GV60 and gv 80 are worth the significant price premium, considering the ride comfort and interior quietness?.
I think the GV60 base spec vs ioniq 5 top spec is worth the price difference (only $1k or $2k I think) if you like the styling and the smaller form factor of the gv60. Then you'll definitely also appreciate the more composed ride and quieter interior. I also can appreciate the extra power, blue interior etc so to me the extra money was well worth it for the performance model. I have a hard time justifying the price tag of the electrified g80. I think it's fantastic, true luxury car ride and interior etc. But I'm just not sure it's worth $80k. It is very very quiet inside though and that ride quality is top notch. But same can be said for the ioniq 5 top spec at $57k, gv60 top spec at $69k. When they qualified for the tax credit, I think they were great value when you could save $7500. Without the tax credit, they are still great EVs but not great value anymore because other EVs have gotten cheaper or others still qualify for tax credit.
@@CarsJubilee we love our Ioniq limited, but it is too low for my 72-year-old dad to get in and out. The new GV70 electrified would be the perfect height for them, not too low and not too high. But it’s hard to justify a 15 K premium over the Ioniq.
Your I5 sounds like an absolute horror story! Out of interest, how has your dealership dealt with all these problems - did you never consider a 'buy back' or a refund? Obviously you couldn't sell the car without losing a ton of money... are you still going to continue to be an I5 owner or will you give them up as a bad job. (I'm an AWD - Europe - 2022 owner since march 2022 and mercifully not had one single problem with the car - (knock on wood) if I had had all the problems you seem to have had I would have thrown in the towel - and be left with an almost unsellable car, which would be a killer.
Hyundai's corporate office has to offer the buyback or some kind of compensation. I've been trying for the past 4 months to have them make some kind of amends but to date I have nothing, I don't even have my ioniq 5 as it has been sitting there for over a month. I'm reaching the end of my patience, still love the car but not loving how Hyundai has handled any of this. Not 100% sure what's going to happen moving forward.
Great series of videos. Thank you for sharing your experience with the Ioniq 5. I am not ready for an electric car yet but this would definitely consider this great looking vehicle.
I was thinking to buy an Ioniq 5 or EV 6 but for me this is kind of a deal breaker, I own an Mercedes E Class for 6 years now and after 125.000 KM I don't hear a single rattle on it.
@@CarsJubilee progressive, never had an issue with them, they let you take the car to any body shop. Mind you I live in South Florida, so I pay one, if not, the highest rate in the country 🤣
Sounds like you got a complete dud. Feel sorry for you. I have none of these issues except my V2L inside the car not working at all (I noticed only recently and will see Hyundai about it some time).
Thanks Ludwig, that's how I feel about it too but Hyundai doesn't seem interested in doing anything about it. Maybe similar issue as my V2L? Took about 2 months to get replacement installed by the dealership.
@@CarsJubilee In my case I am confident Hyundai will fix it in no time. It's more down to me to actually see them about it - just not a priority for me for now.
Haha well not all Tesla are bad and not all Ioniq 5 are bad, sometimes we just get unlucky. The real important thing is how the manufacturer deals with the issues.
Ya I can relate, but sometimes it's fun being an early adopter and at the time I knew the tax credit would only be around for a short time before things changed. So we jumped in when we had the chance, still glad I got to try it out but definitely wish I'd gotten one that didn't have so many issues.
I was considering a RAV4 prime but at the time there were about 5 available in the entire US and I would have had to pay a $10k markup at least. I'm sure I would have liked it but it just wasn't available to me. Bz4x makes a few too many compromises for me currently.
Hahah thanks, I like to think I'm pretty good at catching issues. Not sure why I would buy a used car with 200,000 miles though. I've bought used cars with less issues. Though a moving drivers seat is a safety issue, obnoxiously loud trunk rattle is tiresome and a glitchy app that only works half the time don't seem like nit picky issues. Maybe some would be happy paying $60,000 for all that, not me. On the flip side Hyundai should be reselling mine soon so you're welcome to buy it :)
Still can't wait for my prefered long range limited... From my own experience with another great car rav4 limited ...small issues (or even big ones...as we had recalls) will always be there..at least they aren't as horrible as tesla ;)
Still a fantastic car, and like you said all cars are going to have issues. It just comes down to how the dealership network and corporate handle servicing them. With Hyundai it's been a wild ride with servicing, no one seems to understand the Ioniq 5 very well.

When I first got mine a year ago, it was on maybe once or twice a week. It's on multiple times per day now. I think my 12v is going to die very soon.
@CarsJubilee
Same here.
Wow! I have a 2022 LR AWD here in Canada and no issues other then the known ones that have since been fixed with updates! Incredible to hear.
Glad to hear you haven't had any issues, guess I just got unlucky :(
Did you make the video about the seat? I can't find it on your channel
Did they gave you rental when you leave your car to the dealership for rattling sound issue ??
@CarsJubilee
Early 2022. I received it in July of 2022 so it was probably built in early 2022. Do you know if there was a bulletin for it? I can't seem to find a copy to show the dealership. Thanks for all your content. So helpful!

Here EVERYTHING that went wrong with my Ioniq 5 after 1 Year… NOTHING
Haha lucky you, wish I had been that lucky.
Glad it was resolved!
Whats buying insurance like? Was it expensive?
Mine cost the same as all my previous gas vehicles, no change.
Is it worth it buying ioniq 5 ?, if yes, then which model ?
What is your winter range?
@@andrewlarner6190 if it includes highway driving it’s around 200 miles. If it’s local driving closer to 240 I’d say. I’m averaging 3.2kw from Feb-present.
Have cancelled mine now
They look really cool and I was also interested, but Hyundai is simply not a brand to be trusted.

I am happy that I have a Volkswagen ID.5
love this video, thanks for the details!. i love how you mentioned that these were minor issues, to be honest, i;ll probably miss most of these myself. Hope mine comes in soon! been 4 months :)
You're welcome! It feels like 2023 may have better build quality than 2022 so hopefully yours comes much better than mine!
I'm buying a Toyota hybrid. I was going to buy Ioniq 5, but I changed my mind after watching this. Thank you.
Noticing small chips accumulating on outside of wind shield. Perhaps low quality glass is the culprit?
Definitely possible, we need a windshield specialist.
I have the same issue with the squealing door lock in cold temperatures.
Geeze 3 weeks of convincing, sounds like what I've been doing with Hyundai engineers for every issue. Totally get your frustration.
I'm guessing they'll have to update the software on your car.
We do get sporadic over the air updates but it's not very frequent
@@CarsJubilee this is something you may need to go into the dealership for. Based on your videos, you likely know everyone working in their service department
I didn't have any issues with the car thus far. Bluelink also regularly times out at me. I check after a minute and hit it again if it timed out. It always immediately works at the second attempt. Other than that, I had no Bluelink issues. The timing out issue has a somewhat amateurish vibe, but apart from that, the app, functionality, reliability and responsiveness of Bluelink is pretty darn good.
Glad to hear your bluelink hasn't glitched like mine. You didn't experience any outages? It was completely down for days at a time for me.
Many issues I do recognize on my 2021 car as well. Build quality is not really superbbb….
Ahh I guess there's a lot they didn't correct, will see how 2023s report back in the next few months.
P.S. The Ioniq 5 is an exceptionally stylish car!
I do love the way they designed it, probably the coolest car I've ever owned.
Great series of videos. Thank you for sharing your experience with the Ioniq 5. I am not ready for an electric car yet but this would definitely consider this great looking vehicle.
Thanks! It's a great EV, I've still really enjoyed it.
I was thinking to buy an Ioniq 5 or EV 6 but for me this is kind of a deal breaker, I own an Mercedes E Class for 6 years now and after 125.000 KM I don't hear a single rattle on it.
Mine was whisper quiet before they tried to adjust the lift gate. They were able to finally fix it, it's quiet again :)

Should’ve gotten a Toyota
That's what I wanted but they didn't do the spec i wanted
I was considering a RAV4 prime but at the time there were about 5 available in the entire US and I would have had to pay a $10k markup at least.
I'm sure I would have liked it but it just wasn't available to me.
Bz4x makes a few too many compromises for me currently.
You are a first class nit picker. Buy a used car with at least 200,000 miles.
