I'm the same, it has always been a dream of mine to see (good) Space Marines on the big screen. 35 years on and I still haven't really had that. I do think it's slowly getting there, more people than ever know a bit about the 40K universe, so i'm hopeful that the Amazon series will push it over the top. I had hopes for WH+, but who knows what is happening there? Big promises have been made and all have been broken (an animated episode every other week) and I guess the Amazon stuff has put a halt to a lot of stuff that was meant to come. I'm pretty stupid though, i'll always hold out hope that i'll finally get what I want! Thanks for taking the time to write a great comment. Welcome to the hobby! Cheers.

Hello! I’m still alive, just got a lot on and wanted a break. I have nearly finished my Votann and somehow painted up a 1500pt Hive Fleet Kraken tyranid army for my son. Turns out, I lose a lot at 40K. How are you?

It's a good idea and will work fine. I didn't like that GW never boxed up proper Dungeon Bowl teams, so you have to buy 2 or 3 team boxes to make one. Thanks for taking the time to comment.

If it’s light enough, yes. Sorry, I don’t know the Vallejo primers. White or bone works the best as the Contrast paints show up really well on them. If the grey is too dark they’ll just look a bit muddy.

Yeah, they paint up absolutely fine as long as you hit it with an undercoat first. I’ve had no problems.

I did not, unfortunately. Nothing as accurate anyway. There are loads that can create a mesh but they all need cleaned up in other software. And now Bellus is dead completely.

@The Half-Done Hobbyist Oh yes! Sorry, I should've offered more explanation to help you decide lol I'm old. I'm tired. I can't paint horde armies like I used to - and I certainly can't afford them anymore either. So it's half the models to buy. Half the models to paint. Half the models to lug around. Etc. And their lore is cool af as well lol You feel super heroic when each hero does epic stuff too. Hope this helps

That sounds pretty cool. Fewer models to paint is definitely a big draw. I’m banned from playing Custodes in Kill Team, due to it being really difficult to balance such an elite force, I wonder if it’d end up being the same in 40K? It does indeed help, thanks very much!

@The Half-Done Hobbyist Hope you don't mind me asking? Is that ban self-imposed (because you can't get cheap enough models to fit)? Or is it other players banning you because your 2 or 3 models wipe out their 6~12? Sorry if it seems like a silly question but I've never played KT, though I am interested, seeing as I'm collecting Custodes.

Your Eldar have been a big inspiration to me to get my army done. Great looking force and I can’t wait to see what you do next. Banners would be a must for Howling Griffons, definitely!
