Simon brilliant i love it i have 3 of them containers and painted them with that meh sort of attitude of not really caring about them i will be differently repainting and doing the decal thing to them. Great idea for boring terrain. More of this sort of thing please.

I’m glad to hear it! I’ve got an idea for a heavily graffitied Necromunda board, so I’m going to work towards that. Thanks, I’ll definitely do more of this kind of stuff.

Great effort bud, painted terrain just adds so much to the table. You'll have a container yard in no time.

Thanks, it’s certainly getting there! A Necromunda board is next.

For terrain spraying you can get a good finish using Halfords' sprays, they cover just as well and are half the price of GW sprays

Thanks, I’m going to pick some up today for a big terrain project! Any idea which black spray is the correct one?

@@TheHalfDoneHobbyist they do primer spray cans so I would get one of those

Another great vid, Simon. I find knackered, frayed paint brushes work really well for weathering if you’re struggling for sponges.

Thanks, great tip! I used to favour the clean look but I’m trying to up my weathering game now.

Top video!! I have a few myself and this just got me thinking. I've always wondered about making my own transfers and this looked straightforward. Is there a certain size where this method might not be the best of have you found it works at all sizes?
Love it how you tired it into your squat gang.

Thanks! I had fun making this one and I’m still working on containers. 🤣 I haven’t found a size limitation to the transfers yet. I printed out shoulder ones for my Storm Lords Bladeguard and they’re pretty perfect. The only downside is that they’re transparent so won’t work well over dark colours, but that’s just something to keep in mind while planning a project.

@@TheHalfDoneHobbyist still more containers!! Your gang is working overtime 🤣 I will have to try making some myself. At the very least they can be a guide to paint over maybe 👍
The complete gang looked cool in front of the containers.

Cheers, much appreciated! If you need any pointers then let me know. You could pick up the waterslide paper and a can of that Hycote Lacquer for about £20, so the cost of one GW decal sheet (not comparable in quality, but still...). I think there's a ton of creativity to be had!

I think a Dremel or rotary tool might be effective in removing detail.

You’re right, but mine is defunct. What, you don’t think using a knife then two grades of sandpaper is easy? 😬
