I thought Dream Of Five was the pinnacle of FE Hackrom storytelling but then I played Andaron Saga and this hack in particular feels a lot more grand and epic, in comparison.

I don’t agree with Donnel. I agree his opportunity cost far outweighs his potential, but he does give your chosen child unit aptitude. He comes with lots of good. Granted I dunno who to replace him with. Maybe Basilio, because no supports = no child unit? I also don’t agree with Ashe. I adore him as much as everyone else does, if not more so, and I may accept it, if Anna didn’t exist in 3h. No supports means your get no gambit boosts, no hit rate boosts, nothing, she isn’t hitting anything. You could recruit her late, but honestly her I found her best role to be supportive as a dancer, or magic unit. Her base magic is the same as her str, and her spell list could be worse, getting thunder, meteor, and rescue. She not optimal by any means, but Ashe at least makes for a great but if imperfect bow knight/ wyvern lord. Anna doesn’t make a great anything.

I disagree on Dimitri - I still think Edelgard edges him out - she basically carries the Black Eagles for the first several chapters since half of them are restricted to 2-5 attacks per map and then she just gets exponentially more busted as the game progresses. The only lord with Darting Blow access, axe boon for Death Blow, easy flying access, naturally aligns to the best combat class in the game in Wyvern Lord.

Hunters Volley really cleans up a lot of Ashe’s issues, but yeah - terrible unit, though I do think that Anna or Gilbert take the prize for worst 3H unit

from my FE Shadows of valentia playthrough, clive was such an awful unit his growths were awful and i really had to baby him and be super super weary of using him and i used him and kept him leveled my forsyth likely had lucky lvl ups but was much better than the red haired guy that was teh same unit

Love how Marth and Alm were the strongest units in the famicom games, while their respective wives were the strongest in their remakes. I disagree with 2 of these Awakening: Ok really? yeah babying Donnel to 10 just to get him into a base class is annoying but like Mozu in Conquest, he becomes great once you do. His competition in merc is....Gregor. And also Virion exists, yessir he sure exists....he do be existing...and not much else. Engage: Uhh, Bunet? The prepromote with so little bulk despite his class he has a very real chance of dying in his join chapter and *never* gets any better? Jade isn't in any immediate danger and you can just keep her back and not use her. Bunet is right there in the fight from the word go and he has to survive that chapter to even try to use him.

Why is Anna even discussed she has a great magic growth, great avalability, and leveling up to ten just means using michaiah and who else really want michaiah at that point?

Anna even being a consideration is crazy, she has one of the strongest growths for a sage and makes a great mage knight, radient bow anna is also not bad, byleth thysus is also amazing for her and can utilize it the best out of all the sages with her decent speed, including chances of gold farming and if u just give her the first master seal and seccond seal, or just seccond seal she scales so well with a 60% magic growth in sage, alfred, bunet and clanne (which i would say are the worst units) will never be stronger then Anna in a magic class, and dont say "tiki" bcs thats the answer to all units in the game for stat fix

How can you do an iron man and not reset? I know, I know, "just don't press the reset button bro.", But how do you resist the temptation? Genuine question. I'm trying to do an Iron Man, but I think I'm addicted to that reset button. It's like crack to me.

I would personally say Mia for Path of Radiance, she gets out classed by Zihark and Stefan, Rolf for me outclass Shinoen by the time we got back to recruit him. Sure he needs some investment to get him there, but he’s an archer child, even Mist needs time to be useful and to replace Rhys.

I’d say it’s a tie honestly. There’s a reason people preach the good word of fliers, but in application you’ll be worried about if you’re getting doubled more often

It's been a bit since I touched the game, but I ain't a fan of Engage at all. The biggest issue for me is how the characters and story are nearly nonexistent. Other Fire Emblem games have built entire worlds around strong characters with compelling backstories and meaningful development. But in Engage, the narrative feels flat and unimportant. It's almost as if the characters are there as placeholders, with no real depth or reason to care about them. Honestly, these units are so generic that I half-expected Kirito to show up as a playable character. The character designs are painfully cliche, leaning so heavily into cookie-cutter anime tropes. It's not just the characters- the world design felt flat too. The visuals range from forgettable to straight-up jarring. They feel like some one wanted to go into those AI Art programs and gave it the prompt: "Genshin Impact" and then Bob's your uncle. Pretty much no one looked cool or interesting in my eyes. The new Ring mechanic feels like a half-baked gimmick. Instead of adding something fresh or meaningful, it seems like an attempt to bolster the gameplay with a system that doesn't feel natural. The worst part is that you have to play a "gacha" system just to get the rings for your favorite character. Hope you like doing monotonous skirmishes and waste your Ring Dust on pulling the same Cain over and over. Speaking of rings, they also feel like cheap nostalgia bait. I understand it's meant to be a celebration of all that came before this, but I am kinda getting sick of these kinds of nostalgia wanks. To me, I call this Wish Emblem. I don't hate people who like the game. I'm sure there is merit to liking it, I can't say I do.

Good list Axomm! I have no objections to any of your choices. In slight defense of Corrin, (s)he was locked in a tower for a long time and was always being served by servants. That would make most anyone pretty naive and then make poor decisions. Still, I agree with Corrin being on the naughty list

Having lyn, eirika , and alear be where they are all makes sense. Ironically two of the three happen to be winter envoys in feh. I wonder if this means lyn will get to be one soon.

Man, we reached a point where Corrin gets even called a "bad" person despite trying his best to make peace... I know you guys really don't like him but at least be fair...

At first I thought you were going to go back to Leif at the very end. Because it's so clear he's on the naughty list for all the war crimes. Missed opportunity lol.

While Sigurd arguably ends up on the naughty list just because of what his deeds lead to more often than not (good intentions do not always lead to good deeds), I don't think he's a bad person. His campaigns go on way too long, but most of the time that's out of his control. -Verdane: When they're not invading his home, Sigurd fights castles controlled by active creeps, one of two power hungry Prince's, or a cult member looking to resurrect a dark god. -Agustria: All started because Eldigan was captured by Chagall and Lachesis was being sieged by a creep's goons. Could've ignored Anphony castle (the top left in Chapter 2), but they were actively threatening 10 villages (and more importantly the Bargain Ring). Lewyn points out that Sigurd has pushed too far and acted too rash, but at that point peace would've been futile and put more lives at risk. Sigurd was also ordered to keep up his advance directly by his king, but even if not any peace with Chagall wouldn't have meant anything. This can be seen in... -Agustria (again): A lot quicker to explain. Sigurd is ordered to hold the capital of Agustria, Chagall orders one city's forces and then his own to advance anyway, Pirates put citizens at risk so gotta clean those guys up too. It is actively shown that Sigurd does not want to be in Agustria anymore. -Silesse: Sigurd isn't there by choice, any moves he makes are either in defense of the land he has been given during Silesse's civil war or by direct order of the queen of Silesse, aka the person who is harboring him. -Granvale: awful situation to be in, but Sigurd had to either go on the offensive and make himself out to be against the crown, or wait for war to come to him and a Silesse which has nothing to do with his struggles. When he engages in forces trying to kill his father, who with his dying breath confirms the conspiracy against them, you can see why Sigurd and troops march on. Not to mention the list of personal grudges or desires within his forces at this point; Aideen, Brigid, Erin, AND Lewyn want Andre dead for directly causing the death of loved ones, Lex wants his father dead for killing the king, Azel wants to talk to his brother and figure out what's going on, Tailtiu needs to confront her dad, Lachesis wants her home back and to see Finn again, Claud foresaw all events and is going along with them, Chalphy boys prob wanna go home, and everyone else is either tied up by relationships, romantic or otherwise, or loyal to their last breath. Also tell me that the meteor mages AND wyverns in the desert weren't on the naughty list themselves... Sigurd's biggest flaw was that he was a strong and good hearted character in a world where that's not enough to get the right thing done. Heck, Arvis was verifiably a great leader before the Loptyrians took over but I wouldn't exactly praise the path he took or the choices he made. But that's just my POV on the events.
