Can you beat Fire Emblem Engage using only Anna's gold? (Maddening)

Have you ever wondered if you can complete Fire Emblem Engage utilizing only Anna's gold? Well in this video I cover if it's possible, what difficulties were encountered and how I evaluate Anna as a unit!
Rules of the Run:
- Maddening difficulty
- Cannot utilize DLC gold.
- Can utilize DLC weapons/emblems/ancient well.
- Can utilize silver card.
- Can utilize any weaponry/stave/resource the game gives me that is NOT gold.
- No grinding/skirmishes/gold mission.
- Must recruit Anna as soon as she is available.
- Can utilize gold prior to Anna's recruitment that is obtained from main story + missions and whatever I sell.
- Cannot utilize ANY gold that is not either from the initial pool prior to her recruitment or generated by Anna.
- Cannot sell anything for gold/resources (after Anna's recruitment).
- If gold is obtained in any form or way after Anna's recruitment, items of equal value to the gold must be purchased and discarded (or outfits can be utilized for the value too). On the off chance that the exact number cannot be obtained, I must purchase things exceeding the cost (if 1000 gold was obtained through defeating an enemy, but 2 weapons cost 1050 at minimum, I have to take the penalty of 50 gold).
Bonus mission:
Must use Vander the entire way.

This was interesting! I love using Anna since she’s fun, but clearly the design of her and Jean as low level growth units is about working towards something. Zero to hero, which is satisfying! It’s equally satisfying to just not use them if you don’t want to lol, I love how you looked at this. A lot of people say “don’t use ____” instead of “I don’t think ____ is that good, but do what you want”
It doesn’t go without saying! It’s not just the FE community, but we get lots of those people 😭 sometimes people just need to differentiate whether someone asked about a units performance, or if they’re just talking about a unit they like
I do try to keep those 2 things separate. I will never tell someone NOT to use a unit, but I try my best to keep things objective when analyzing viability! There’s a unit in particular that is my guilty pleasure in FE6. Lilina is, by all intents and purposes, not a very good unit, but I use her every time ahhhaha

Ive never used Anna for making gold so I never really thought about how effective (or really, ineffective) make a killing is. It's definitely sad for me to see that she doesn't make you a substantial amount of money, but it probably won't effect anything for me.

Anna really is the embodiment of the engage itself, not worth wasting your money on cause you ain't making back that investment.

No, Thats not the gist of it at all. Anna with all the resources focused on her, performed on par with other units. The only thing she was missing was that higher end levin sword forge. I gave her EVERYTHING else. The master seal, the second seal (after Chloe and alear) the fragments, STARSPHERE, fed her most kills in the army: the conclusion was that she didn’t perform significantly above other units that didn’t require as many resources
@@fireembros1165 I’m talking about the fact that you are assessing her performance generally, based on how she performed in a challenge run where you gave yourself less resources than you would have in an ordinary run. And you are using this non-standard run to justify your opinion of her in a standard run.
@@Rabidconscience this would hold true, if I hadn’t give her the level of favoritism and investment that one could obtain in a standard run. The REST of my units didn’t have the resources. I made sure Anna did.
@@fireembros1165 if that’s the case, why didn’t you just try to test Anna in a standard run, instead of doing a different challenge run.
@@Rabidconscience I have used Anna in a standard run multiple times. The idea of doing this challenge run was to see how much gold on average is generated, the performance of Anna was akin to every other run due to her not being limited by the resources, but actually given more in terms of starsphere, micaiah, the forges, etc etc.
