In case this isn't obvious, this video is sattire. Hold your hateful comments, hence they will be banned. This is ONLY referring to Marcia on Maniac mode, not on HM where she obviously dominates, and the resources + Bexp are way more competitive.
At that point in time I had the initial 2.5k you have plus the money from the red gem I managed to nab and sell. So a total of 5k. I didn't use any money, I didn't use any bonus exp, because i was saving it for the RIGHT TIME. This time is now:
Investment cost 4320. But it wasn't enough.
Favoritism cost 17225. I went back just to check, but without the bands, all I needed to do to reach this meager amount was sell almost every single item and weapon I had obtained so far, including 2 stat boosters. At least I got to keep an iron sword, iron lance and javelin for marcia and a 6 use steel axe for titania. Also that sweet thunder for magical damage for Soren!
Also, I forgot to deploy Oscar with a lance for one chapter (he ran out and I forgot to take it from Gatrie), but couldn't be bothered to go back. He was still 6/7 levels ahead of her at this time.
Marcia was able to be brought up to lvl 10 with ALL of the bonus experience acquired. I may have missed out on some bonus EXP due to taking a little longer/ taking my time, but never enough to not gain any at all. I probably had around 500-600 bonus exp and could've been faster, but I prefer to give units more in combat exp than Bonus if I'm going to use them.

Marcia is great late game but she's god awful when she joins
She's not great late game. She caps strength at 23 with no access to axes. Which means she stops one rounding fairly early even in normal mode

@@oscarcapac1786 The situation speaks more of how broken the forging system is rather than Marcia. The fact that she's got flier utility as well makes the mega silver forges shine.
@@oscarcapac1786 The main reason she is good is because she is a flier and lots of late game maps benefit them. Yes Jill is overall just a better option however Marcia can still fight and when she can't she can transport other units instead.

Great unit but god damn does playing Maniac change up how you play the game, I do wish more people would use it as a talking point regarding character discussion, its interesting.

Resetting for stats? I’ll have you know, I’m one of three people who understands fixed mode!
I can’t say anything for Maniac mode, but Fixed mode hard I gotchu, makes some units very interesting. A lot of units are either perfectly fine and a good amount are actually buffed! Just don’t try to use Soren… he needs those early magic and speed level ups, but he’ll always stagger those stats, never get even one strength to help him not get slowed, and his bulk is even worse somehow.
Where was I going with this? Oh yeah, you can “focus” strength really easy really early with steel weapons and the fighter/soldier/wyvern band, so in modes where caps don’t matter as long as you get bigger numbers, Marcia’s fine. If you really want raw combat stats and don’t mind resource dumping, Nephenee with Vantage + Wrath and a forged javelin makes you feel like a god. Is her meh start and E rank lances ass worth training? That’s up to you!
True!! Fixed mode doesn’t allow for these shenanigans! She’s an ok investment long game, but in maniac mode I felt her rough start combined with her low strength cap was detrimental to her performance.

I’m here for any and all Marcia slander. Hard mode players play the game once on the japanese medium difficulty and move on, coming to the conclusion that path of radiance can be stomped on the hardest diff by a frail flyer with a shit strength cap.
Nephenee is five times more useful lance wielder than marcia on maniac mode, her only issue is joining underleveled BUT she joins in a stealthable chapter purpose-made to give you a ton of BEXP. Use it on the units that will actually carry you, not tourist trap low cap shit tier units.
Hell, ENHardPoR isn't even equal to the medium difficulty of JP PoR since the game had like a dozen changes to make it easier during the localisation process
@@AlexT7916 Also true. Though I really wish the JP version had sniper-swordmaster-zerker crit, those units are just so bad in comparison without it. Not even that good with it. Annoying when people say PoR is easy because you have a lot of money and enemies aren't dangerous, when both of those are EN only. I've tried modifying the JP game files to get the crit, but it's actually a hidden skill called CRITRISE and that skill doesn't exist in the JP version. My only problem with maniac mode is that I break 8 weapons every map lategame, since you need 1-2 range pretty badly and those weaps dont one round unless you use wrath. But that's not too hard to get over.
Thanks for spreading the truth. Marcia is not a good carry in Path of Radiance, she's outclassed by many units including Kieran, Jill, Titania, Astrid and even Boyd depending on your tolerance fir foot units
Even on her own merits, she's not that good. Her bases are pathetic and she doesn't have enough bulk for enemy phase in a game where it's mandatory. Even worse, her low str cap means she stops one rounding eventually (this happens even on normal mode)
Do yourself a favor and save your bexp for Kieran, Jill or Astrid
Forging crit increased the price by 73.7% of the price with max hit+might and 8 weight, lmao. it's so not worth (effectively makes it 36.5 uses instead of 35) and if you plan on bexping her anyway, so is weight. 6417 with max hit and might
Still more money than the initial cash + the red gem. But yeah it was just the joke for favoritism. Also, she couldn’t kill that weakened below half healt knight without the crit, so totally necessary!!!
@@FireEmbros can sell the sword and priest bands to get 4k more at least, their bonuses suck. sounds like you're serious about the price in the description so it makes you look a bit silly when you say you only had to sell everything and 2 stat boosters blah blah blah
