I didn’t mind Doug, but I don’t think he’s a huge loss either. Every show that goes forever has characters that only pop up for a couple seasons.

I dont understand why they bring in kids like Bertham and Doug when they had a perfectly good setup with Eliza in the earlier seasons. Stewie literally killed her parents and she vowed revenge, its literally a classic setup for a sequel episode

Wait, Brian's not dead...

Doug is a crappy Wesley Crusher or Bugs Bunny, an annoying/arrogant jerk who for whatever reason he is just naturally great at everything, so he always saves the day, or wins the rivalry. It's exhausting to watch if you hope for a different outcome, and boring as hell if you don't. It's like reading Spy Vs. Spy but only the ones where the black spy wins.
