I would like to see fresh changes. Meg is in college, Brian has a permanent job, Stewie goes to elementary school, etc. May be they haven't experimented with new ideas due to failures (I know Doug as a new character didn't work out), but recycling boring plots don't work. The fact that a plot where Brian and Stewie own a business is likely to fall flat should tell writers to do something different or recycle a funny idea with these two characters (Another 'Road to...' episode, they're trapped in a cave with no cutaways, or I'll even take an anthology episode of video games since they reference 'Street Fighter' and 'Mario' several times).
Agreed. You can't really blame this all on the Writer's Strike because shows like these have episodes in development more than a year before they air. I still don't think moving the show to Wednesdays did it any favors either. As funny and offbeat as Grimsburg is, I doubt that it's "bump Family Guy out if its well-earned time slot" good, and a live action sitcom like Animal Control is hardly a solid lead-in. I'm starting to think that both Seth is purposely letting the show slowly kill itself off because he doesn't have much left in the tank. If you need any more proof, check out The Good Times reboot. 😣😖😵

i honestly did have fun with this episode idk if i had low expectations but i liked it quite a bit still not one of the best episodes of all time and Patrick being in this would've been a really cool side plot with Brian and Lois trying to stop him also Meg doesn't have friends?? i thought Bruce was her friend another thing 3:45 the second i saw this dude i thought he looked a little like Michael from GTA 5 idk if anyone else thinks that but he looked a little bit like him to me the celebrity cameos were interesting in this also we've been seeing Cleveland's family (cameos mainly) quite a bit this season can we seriously get some plots with them to make things interesting??? come on they're right there anyway i'll give this a 7/10 i thought it was still pretty fun

I would have had Homer Simpson, Barry, Tuddle, and Buckle from American Dad , and Teddy from Bob's Burgers all make cameos with the other fat guys, since Barry was at the same fat camp Peter and Chris went to. Plus, The Simpsons did a better take on this episode with Beyond Blunderdome. The title of this episode Fat Actor is based off the show Fat Actress about Kirstie Ally and her weight.

More good news: these last 15 episodes will not be Family Guy's last hurrah (yet). According to Wikipedia there are TWO DOZEN "unscheduled" episodes- complete with titles. Now, I don't know if that means they're sitting on a shelf waiting for an airdate or if they're works-in-progress. But I'm sure it does mean Peter Griffin will be back next season...!
I do still enjoy Family Guy for the most part, but honestly, I think the show should end soon. Unless DRASTIC changes come like hiring a whole new writing team or something, it just seems like the show's glory days are FAR behind it 😑 . I think it just needs an actual decent finale to end it instead of it being axed without the show runners planning for it. I'm sure they could do at least something watchable for multi-part finale, maybe. But yeah. Guess we'll see.
I remember the christmas episode being on a Sunday , but either i heard and forgot or just flat out didnt know FG had been moved to Wenesday. I thought it may have been on just a midseason hiatus for Grimsburg . Shit . 😅
At this point I kinda want them to cancel the show. It just feels so bitter to me. Hell they have been cancelled before. Maybe this time if they resurrect themselves they will have show runners and writers who doesn't make it feel so bitter
It seems Family Guy is once again falling into bad habits of creating episode solely to make a specific cutaway gag, and the worst part is that now they are being very uncreative and the characters get more and more unfunny and flanderized. Perfect example is Stewie that went from being the evil genious that destroyed stuff because of the prettiest things, to just being the homosexual character (in a way that helps, but just like his evil persona got overextended so too has him being the gay character). Last seasons succeeded because they stop creating scenerios to do the cutaway gags, to becoming the cutaway gaga from Lous famous scream, to her Air b&B episode. However they once again had fallen into creating uncreative episodes solely for the cutaway gags and reusing jokes, and worse is the constant joke of Peter and Lois living an unhappy marriage and being awful to each other, thats no longer funny or new anymore, heck at this point I would honestly be shocked if I saw a comedy with a stable married couple. I however have no much faith in next episode as it is a Brain trying to get into someone's pants, type of episodes. Honestly ever since he was revived he became the worst character in the show, a hypocrite, manipulative, horny scumbag trying too hard to not be seen as a scumbag...
This episode was great. Peter and Brain being on the same page was a little cool to see. It felt like a throwback to season 1-3. Alot of the jokes were funny and there was a good amount of cutaways. The speech Peter gave at the end of the episode is questionable. 1) Why not find a talented actor who is also fat 2) It comes off as rather tone deaf to say maybe we should find the best person for the job when Family Guy recasts its white actors who played POC characters. 3)I guess you can take this as Peter is stupid so you can't always take what he says seriously. The episode would have been better if the other characters pointed out how Peter's speech doesn't quite make sense. Like if Brain said : Why not find a talented actor who is fat they just found the first fat guy they saw.
I would love to see a video about Cleveland Jr. it truly feels like Cleveland’s whole family is wasted since they moved back to spooner st. I personally think the lack of continuity and the wasted potential of background characters is killing the show. Just look at American dad that has constant call backs to iconic moments and characters. I.e Nerfer made her first appearance after being mentioned for years and she’s a fantastic character.
I would personally love more Cleveland related videoes. Tho i know that is a limited well with us not getting any new content from his family in YEARS. I think some Bob Burger episodes would be great. There is plenty to do there and the show is very popular
so imo I'm fine with a fat guy playing a thin guy and a thin guy playing a fat guy etc BUT the thing i would draw the line at is disability representation in Hollywood films esp. A) there's already so few Hollywood films (no Hallmark movie of the week doesn't count) that cover disability and while some do it well such as Rain Man the problem is that society as a whole will then assume that's what someone with autism is like. IMO if u're going to have a character that has a common disability such as autism deaf blind cerebral Palsy etc get an actor that ACTUALLY has that disability. Yes if its something more rare such as Wonder's Treacher Collins Syndrome then its alright to get a non disabled actor to play the role but as a disabled person I prefer to see autism etc played by people with said disability as I feel like getting a non-disabled actor to play a role can unintentionally contribute to stereotypes such as autistics are quiet people who hate talking to people when many people with autism esp on the higher end of the spectrum are very social. Or at the very least if u can't find someone with said disability work with disability organizations to make sure ur'e not showing harmful stereotypes. For example of actor with disability and show that the actor was non disabled but the show worked with disability organizations is the 2 movies A quiet Place as Millicent Simmonds is actually deaf and taught the other actors ASL for the movie. A show that's actors were not disabled but worked with disability groups is the tv show the Good Doctor where the main protagonist Shawn is autistic even though his actor isnt but the show worked with the autism organization Autism speaks because the creators of the show have stated they wanted to show autism in a positive light.

Not sure why that made me chuckle but it did.

Its weird how its albeit rare, but an often enough occurrence to be noticeable. Stewie really does care about Peter as a child would father. I usually see people liken their relationship to the intelligent child belittling the dumb parent but its definitely not like that anymore, earlier matricide obsessed Stewie did definitely fill that niche role with Peter as the arrogant child but in later seasons Stewie seems to be the only one to understand and/or defend Peter, its either Stewie or Brian, never really Chris, Meg or Lois as they tend to be the foil to Peter's stupidity lmao.
My favorite part of that episode was when peter teaches brad pitt how to swing from tree to tree on a rope. Typical cartoons has a fat guy swinging on a tree and due to his weight he pulls the tree down to the ground instead of swinging. This time peters arms rip off immediately swinging down and that made me laugh so hard. That was the funniest part of the episode for me. I re winded that part just to laugh at it again.
For me I’m probably just the wet blanket/negative Nance bit I just couldn’t find anything to enjoy in this season I liked how they were giving Meg some wins at times then just like I predicted they back peddled on it with full force and just felt disappointing to me along with just so many over used jokes and moments so over all this episode for me is a 2.5/5
I haven't watched family guy in almost 15 years. And after watching these videos I'm struggling to figure out if I wanna go back and catch up on every episode. Mind you I stopped watching TV during highschool 😅

YES! The Great North is the best- its so wholesome and warm, but also so fun. It's probably my favourite new cartoon of the last few years. Also Beef is definitely one of, if not the- best cartoon Dad ☺
maybe another episode family guy could do can be more around meg and her friends, patty, esther, and ruth, i cant remember if any of them had appearances or even cameos this season, and a story line centered around them could be interesting as i think the only one of meg's friend group to have a episode based around them was patty, plus meg could use another episode where she takes a win instead being the shows punching bag like how she was made with the facecall joke in this recent episode.
Family Guy has a weird habit of tackling a modern issue while making it incredibly vague which side of the issue they're falling on, if any. On one hand, by the end of this episode you could take away both "we shouldn't be hiring actors based solely on certain characteristics, we should hire the best actor for the role" and "Anyone can take on any role, we should just enjoy what different actors bring to each role", and those can't always work together. Peter might be fat, but can't act, Brad Pitt might be able to act, but isn't fat enough to look like Chris Christie, but he can just wear a fat suit. But then you ask "Well can Cleveland play Chris Christie? Can Lois?", they used being fat in the episode because it's the one characteristic you can actually change, as we see by Brad getting fat in the episode, but the moral of "any actor can play any role" falls flat when an innate characteristic fundamentally prevents someone from portraying the character accurately. I don't mind if Family Guy wants to make episodes about modern issues, but if they don't have anything to actually say on the subject, just don't bother with it, just focus on being funny instead. It's also pretty hypocritical of Family Guy to say "Anyone can take on any role" anyway, considered they made Mike Henry step down from voicing Cleveland Brown after 21 years just to replace him with Arif Zahir because "only a black guy can voice a black guy".
I would genuinely like it if Family Guy would have a quick scene where like, Peter catches Lois with another man and just says "Hey Lois." and she just says "Hey Peter." and they go on. Someone asks Peter "Wait, you just saw your wife with another man and that's your response?" to which Peter answers "We're doin' an open marriage thing now, I get around too." and that's about it. Not really a joke, just a quick way to kind of diffuse the infidelity jokes.
I dont mind the cheating jokes and they'll often get a chuckle out of me. I just wish they did something with it. Kinda like the dead brian thing. Like take a couple episode with them divorced
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Family Guy ends up getting the ax because switching nights after so long is almost always the kiss of death and the last time I checked, ratings were even lower than they were when it was cancelled the first time. Which really is a shame because I absolutely loved the first six seasons of the show and it had a huge impact on my sense of humor growing up, so seeing it take such a nosedive in quality was absolutely heartbreaking for me 😢
I get the feeling Fox wants to sabotage the Disney owned shows (remember, Fox still owns the network). While I don't hate Family Guy, it really feels it ran its course so long ago, even the writers aren't turning in anything that doesn't scream "paycheck." So I can see why Fox is trying to quietly dump Family Guy off the schedule for the shows they own, Krapopolis and Grimsburg. I haven't seen an episode since it moved, and I feel less and less like I didn't miss anything to feeling more and more like I dodged a bullet. But the Kanye West thins was funny, I'll give them that. And at least we don't have some story about Stewie and Brian opening ANOTHER business. That's where the show has proven itself old. They make Stewie and Brian a couple of retirees trying to get a little extra scratch instead of going on big adventures.

It seems Family Guy is once again falling into bad habits of creating episode solely to make a specific cutaway gag, and the worst part is that now they are being very uncreative and the characters get more and more unfunny and flanderized. Perfect example is Stewie that went from being the evil genious that destroyed stuff because of the prettiest things, to just being the homosexual character (in a way that helps, but just like his evil persona got overextended so too has him being the gay character).
Last seasons succeeded because they stop creating scenerios to do the cutaway gags, to becoming the cutaway gaga from Lous famous scream, to her Air b&B episode. However they once again had fallen into creating uncreative episodes solely for the cutaway gags and reusing jokes, and worse is the constant joke of Peter and Lois living an unhappy marriage and being awful to each other, thats no longer funny or new anymore, heck at this point I would honestly be shocked if I saw a comedy with a stable married couple. I however have no much faith in next episode as it is a Brain trying to get into someone's pants, type of episodes. Honestly ever since he was revived he became the worst character in the show, a hypocrite, manipulative, horny scumbag trying too hard to not be seen as a scumbag...

This episode was great. Peter and Brain being on the same page was a little cool to see. It felt like a throwback to season 1-3. Alot of the jokes were funny and there was a good amount of cutaways. The speech Peter gave at the end of the episode is questionable. 1) Why not find a talented actor who is also fat 2) It comes off as rather tone deaf to say maybe we should find the best person for the job when Family Guy recasts its white actors who played POC characters. 3)I guess you can take this as Peter is stupid so you can't always take what he says seriously. The episode would have been better if the other characters pointed out how Peter's speech doesn't quite make sense. Like if Brain said : Why not find a talented actor who is fat they just found the first fat guy they saw.

I would love to see a video about Cleveland Jr. it truly feels like Cleveland’s whole family is wasted since they moved back to spooner st. I personally think the lack of continuity and the wasted potential of background characters is killing the show. Just look at American dad that has constant call backs to iconic moments and characters. I.e Nerfer made her first appearance after being mentioned for years and she’s a fantastic character.
Have you thought of reviewing Ted the Peacock series? I’d think you’d like that show and I think it would get decent views

I would personally love more Cleveland related videoes. Tho i know that is a limited well with us not getting any new content from his family in YEARS. I think some Bob Burger episodes would be great. There is plenty to do there and the show is very popular
so imo I'm fine with a fat guy playing a thin guy and a thin guy playing a fat guy etc BUT the thing i would draw the line at is disability representation in Hollywood films esp. A) there's already so few Hollywood films (no Hallmark movie of the week doesn't count) that cover disability and while some do it well such as Rain Man the problem is that society as a whole will then assume that's what someone with autism is like. IMO if u're going to have a character that has a common disability such as autism deaf blind cerebral Palsy etc get an actor that ACTUALLY has that disability. Yes if its something more rare such as Wonder's Treacher Collins Syndrome then its alright to get a non disabled actor to play the role but as a disabled person I prefer to see autism etc played by people with said disability as I feel like getting a non-disabled actor to play a role can unintentionally contribute to stereotypes such as autistics are quiet people who hate talking to people when many people with autism esp on the higher end of the spectrum are very social. Or at the very least if u can't find someone with said disability work with disability organizations to make sure ur'e not showing harmful stereotypes. For example of actor with disability and show that the actor was non disabled but the show worked with disability organizations is the 2 movies A quiet Place as Millicent Simmonds is actually deaf and taught the other actors ASL for the movie. A show that's actors were not disabled but worked with disability groups is the tv show the Good Doctor where the main protagonist Shawn is autistic even though his actor isnt but the show worked with the autism organization Autism speaks because the creators of the show have stated they wanted to show autism in a positive light.
Yeah this season is mid. Putting it nicely. Still love the show.

I’d love to see you cover how Cleveland junior went from a hyper skinny kid to an overweight kid. And I think I only had one moment of laughter in this episode. It was when Peter was sitting with Brad in front of the computer and had no arms. He asked Brad to click on a porn site for him, otherwise he’d have to peck at it like a TikTok chicken. Not sure why that made me chuckle but it did.

Its weird how its albeit rare, but an often enough occurrence to be noticeable. Stewie really does care about Peter as a child would father. I usually see people liken their relationship to the intelligent child belittling the dumb parent but its definitely not like that anymore, earlier matricide obsessed Stewie did definitely fill that niche role with Peter as the arrogant child but in later seasons Stewie seems to be the only one to understand and/or defend Peter, its either Stewie or Brian, never really Chris, Meg or Lois as they tend to be the foil to Peter's stupidity lmao.
I personally didn't mind this season of Family Guy. For me, it wasn't really that mid, and it had some funny jokes and episodes.

My favorite part of that episode was when peter teaches brad pitt how to swing from tree to tree on a rope. Typical cartoons has a fat guy swinging on a tree and due to his weight he pulls the tree down to the ground instead of swinging. This time peters arms rip off immediately swinging down and that made me laugh so hard. That was the funniest part of the episode for me. I re winded that part just to laugh at it again.

For me I’m probably just the wet blanket/negative Nance bit I just couldn’t find anything to enjoy in this season I liked how they were giving Meg some wins at times then just like I predicted they back peddled on it with full force and just felt disappointing to me along with just so many over used jokes and moments so over all this episode for me is a 2.5/5

YES! The Great North is the best- its so wholesome and warm, but also so fun. It's probably my favourite new cartoon of the last few years. Also Beef is definitely one of, if not the- best cartoon Dad ☺

maybe another episode family guy could do can be more around meg and her friends, patty, esther, and ruth, i cant remember if any of them had appearances or even cameos this season, and a story line centered around them could be interesting as i think the only one of meg's friend group to have a episode based around them was patty, plus meg could use another episode where she takes a win instead being the shows punching bag like how she was made with the facecall joke in this recent episode.
Family Guy has a weird habit of tackling a modern issue while making it incredibly vague which side of the issue they're falling on, if any. On one hand, by the end of this episode you could take away both "we shouldn't be hiring actors based solely on certain characteristics, we should hire the best actor for the role" and "Anyone can take on any role, we should just enjoy what different actors bring to each role", and those can't always work together. Peter might be fat, but can't act, Brad Pitt might be able to act, but isn't fat enough to look like Chris Christie, but he can just wear a fat suit. But then you ask "Well can Cleveland play Chris Christie? Can Lois?", they used being fat in the episode because it's the one characteristic you can actually change, as we see by Brad getting fat in the episode, but the moral of "any actor can play any role" falls flat when an innate characteristic fundamentally prevents someone from portraying the character accurately. I don't mind if Family Guy wants to make episodes about modern issues, but if they don't have anything to actually say on the subject, just don't bother with it, just focus on being funny instead. It's also pretty hypocritical of Family Guy to say "Anyone can take on any role" anyway, considered they made Mike Henry step down from voicing Cleveland Brown after 21 years just to replace him with Arif Zahir because "only a black guy can voice a black guy".
I would genuinely like it if Family Guy would have a quick scene where like, Peter catches Lois with another man and just says "Hey Lois." and she just says "Hey Peter." and they go on. Someone asks Peter "Wait, you just saw your wife with another man and that's your response?" to which Peter answers "We're doin' an open marriage thing now, I get around too." and that's about it. Not really a joke, just a quick way to kind of diffuse the infidelity jokes.
I dont mind the cheating jokes and they'll often get a chuckle out of me. I just wish they did something with it. Kinda like the dead brian thing. Like take a couple episode with them divorced
I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if Family Guy ends up getting the ax because switching nights after so long is almost always the kiss of death and the last time I checked, ratings were even lower than they were when it was cancelled the first time. Which really is a shame because I absolutely loved the first six seasons of the show and it had a huge impact on my sense of humor growing up, so seeing it take such a nosedive in quality was absolutely heartbreaking for me 😢

I get the feeling Fox wants to sabotage the Disney owned shows (remember, Fox still owns the network). While I don't hate Family Guy, it really feels it ran its course so long ago, even the writers aren't turning in anything that doesn't scream "paycheck." So I can see why Fox is trying to quietly dump Family Guy off the schedule for the shows they own, Krapopolis and Grimsburg. I haven't seen an episode since it moved, and I feel less and less like I didn't miss anything to feeling more and more like I dodged a bullet. But the Kanye West thins was funny, I'll give them that. And at least we don't have some story about Stewie and Brian opening ANOTHER business. That's where the show has proven itself old. They make Stewie and Brian a couple of retirees trying to get a little extra scratch instead of going on big adventures.
