A Visit To The Maine Wildlife Park In Gray Maine - Wildlife Sanctuary - See More In Description
มุมมอง 2053 หลายเดือนก่อน
Recently Don and I visited the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray, Maine, June 2024. This wild life sanctuary is home to wildlife that has been injured or abandoned, for the most part. Living here they have a second chance at life, a place where they can live out their lives, with TLC year round. At the moment they are doing some construction in different areas there, and some exhibits were closed, be...

This morning when I got up, this beautiful girl was in the backyard nibbling, and she nibbled some of the ends of our newly planted apple tree (amongst other things). I went out to record her and she had no fear. I got up close to her, and she had no desire to leave, although she finally did. She loves the blackberry bushes, and Rhododendrons, and of course the apple trees, and blueberry bushes...

Maine’s Spring Nor’easter Snowstorm 2024 - Wednesday to Saturday- No Power - (see description)

Wednesday night April 3rd 2024 it began snowing, and didn’t stop snowing until Friday (with snow showers after that). We got around 20 inches of heavy wet snow, all together. By early morning (3 a.m.) Thursday, the power & internet went out and we didn’t get it back until Saturday afternoon. We used a variety of light sources, cooked on the woodstove & propane burner. All perishable food items ...

A Visit To The Southern Maine Coast - March 2024
มุมมอง 1086 หลายเดือนก่อน
As winter starts winding down here in Southern Maine, we decide to pack up a picnic lunch and take a ride to the Southern Maine Coast. The rain earlier in the day moved out, and the beaches became busy with people walking dogs, horse riding (which we missed as they were ready to drive away), metal detecting, children playing, and surfers looking to catch a wave. Soon the boats that were put up ...

Maine isn’t all that different than Northern New York in The Northern Adirondack Mountains! this video looks like it could’ve been taken at hunting camps near my area!
@@barneywhite8629 I’ve never been there before, but I bet it’s nice. The old camp in this video is still standing. Thanks for stopping by!
Thanks . I’ll give it a try
Started deer hunting in 1964, my dad would take me out of school the go deer hunting for a week. In lots of places School shut down for the opening week they knew boys would not be there anyway. This video brought back memories I had long forgotten. If there's one thing I learned as a young boy at deer camp, was to try and fall asleep first. Cuz once the old timers started snoring, you were out of luck. Thanks I really enjoyed the video.
@@charlesfredrick4789 Hahaha! Yes, the snoring!! Being a little girl, going to camp during hunting season wasn’t something we females did. But, my father was a very loud snorer!! 😊 With several of them snoring at the same time, it must of been interesting. I wonder if they had to wear ear plugs? 🙂 I am so glad you enjoyed this video, and I enjoyed you sharing your memories. Thank you for that!
Are these the parmelees?

No problem. Distracted by all the stuff in the video is all. I didn't realize it was a different camp. Lol

Amen! You are so right! ♥️ I’m already there. I used my Senior Citizen Discount for the first time, last weekend. Thanks so much for watching 💗
I hate growing older but do not let age be a barrier to anything I want to do but get so frustrated when my body lets me down and dose not do what I want it to do. I visit my 94 year old mother every week who is in a nursing home and those were some wonderful old photos you have. My dad used to have a 35mm camera when we were kids, so we have silent films of me and my brother from the early 60s and it is nice to see our grandparents and parents still young and (alive) running around, as well as us as kids. Cheers Alan
Awe, you are so blessed to still have your mother, at 94. ♥️ I hope she is doing well. I’m sure she looks forward to your visits. I bet those silent films are awesome, and it would be so cool to see them 🙂 I have mostly the pictures (which I’m thankful for). Thanks so much for sharing and have a great weekend! 🕊️

Hi Mark! Good to see you. I appreciate you stopping by!
Hello Ms. Kat 👋. That’s really beautiful and gorgeous ❤️. I believe that creating memories is the best way to do while still young because sooner it’s really beautiful looking back the memories you’ve made. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful day. Greetings from Germany 🇩🇪.
Hello, and thank you so much! ☺️ I’m so glad you appreciate my video. Thank you for watching and commenting. God Bless! 🕊️
Many times I consider pining a picture of myself when I was 30ish on my coat. Because that is what you stay on the inside. This is something younger people don't understand. The outside ages but the inside does not. That does not mean some people are just immature ...no....this is how it is for all of us. The inside of you stays the same just you outside body changes. Time does in fact fly by. You are young for a long time and then all of a sudden you wake up and you are 60, 65, 70 and so on. But all the while the inside does not age. And the only ones who understand that are those of us who are there. So when you see older people remember they are that 30 year old on the inside.
Thank you Linda for sharing that. When my father was at the end of his life he would say, “I wish I had done ---(this, or that)” and when he was unable to walk he would say “maybe I can do ---- (this or that), but it was too late. I felt so bad for him. He fought so hard to keep on living. On the inside he had his drive and the willpower. His mind was telling him, he could do it, but his poor body on the outside was broken. Our elders who have passed on, have gone through the same emotions and feelings we have. When we are young we don’t think about being old with wrinkles & white hair (or bald ☺️). Then…..there it is staring back at us in the mirror. Thank you for stopping by a commenting. God Bless You!
Thank you kat what a beautiful video

Thank you ♥️ I know you are a blessing to many and the elderly you take care of are so fortunate to have you. To some, it’s just a job. But, to some of us, they become a good friend. So much wisdom, and so many wonderful stories. Caring for the elderly was always so rewarding to me ♥️ I appreciate you watching and I hope you have a wonderful, blessed day! 🙏🏼🕊️🌸

I’m glad my relatives wrote who what & when on backs of pictures so we could tell who’s who. I’ve stopped at a few self serve farm stands myself . You don’t see to many unless you’re out in country.
Good Morning Randy ☀️ It’s so important to write names on the back of photos. Sadly these days, most photos are all digital. There’s still some farm/food stands in this area now. My grandparents raised honey bees and sold their honey (back in the 1950’s & 1960’s). I still have some 🙂 Thank you for watching.
