America is too expensive (especially in New England area like Boston) and work culture is insane here. i just paid off my student loans and i dont want to buy a home in the US. I love thailand, my family, the vibes in ASEAN countries, life is less stressful, and love speaking my mother tongue. Thank you for your wisdom since ive been debating about this a lot, ive been in thailand 12 times in my life but i have never lived there for more than 1-3 months. There are many job opportunities in America but fuck the rat race. Better to live a life where you can enjoy your time instead of working 48 hours a week in a factory, 12 hour shifts, and most of your money is gone due to rent/ expenses. Enjoy yourself, wish me luck on getting a dual citizenship and securing a different job

The information here, while useful to a point, ia very much geared towards someone who wants to live like a tourist the entire time. Many of the issues brought up can be cleared if one would choose to get a house (with a kitchen) and opening an account with a Thai bank, which can be done on certain tourist visas. This does a few things: brings your accommodation costs low (especially if your are working or having to constantly pay for a hotel... Also house/apartment rental is very cheap if signing a lease for 6 - 12 months), cook from home (if you dont like Thai food, cooking at home saves an incredible amount of money and is healthier given that Thai street food has tons of oil, sugar, and sodium... Not good for daily long term consumption given our western diets), and allows you to scan pay with QR code (I literally never need cash from the mall to the smallest Thai stall). For transportation, learn to ride a motorbike. In fact, get an international license before you come here and it works here. Takes about a few days to get comfy on the motorbike but it changes the game in terms of transportation. Just some small tips if you plan to stay longer than 3 months. A little planning goes a loooong way in saving money here. Also, get the big water jugs (about 5 gallons I believe)... It's filtered water drinkable, and you never have to constantly pay for bottle water. Just use a small pump that costs like B30 from the DIY store, and a reusable water bottle... People underestimate the amount they will sweat and hence dehydration they feel, which is key to deal with hangovers. When your jug is empty, take it to the shop, switch it for a full one and pay B13-B20 depending on the shop (less than a dollar). It's pretty insane how you can really go cheap here but have a good lifestyle.

A corporate job is ok if 1: the pay is decent 2: hours/stress is not high 3: you work in the city you enjoy If all 3 are satisfied, I think staying in a corporate job is fine. Not everyone can live as a digital nomad

I lived in Thailand for about a year and a half. Was great, majority of time stayed in Bangkok, spent months in Chang Mai , Hua hin , pattaya but after a while it all became kind of tiresome and boring dealing with the women. I found the phillipines to be more my speed as the women seem more serious about settling down and being a wife. That’s just me though

WoW, great condo, great building. I may not see the value at $900K, but there's a right buyer for every property. Also guys it takes as much effort to show affordable condo, but expensive luxurious condo or home get more views. He does a great job at showing us all price point. Keep up the great work brother!
