Very detailed video on the living expenses. I’ve been telling people, for YEARS, to leave the matrix and explore other options. The key is to live where “everybody else” isn’t. When I see these videos, it’s always Pattaya, Chiangmai, and Bangkok, and there’s nothing wrong with that. But, there is so much more to Thailand. The key is finding your spot.
Mind sharing?
Kho sa mui
I LOVE your content, just straight up no bs information from a non stereotypical Pattaya enjoyooor.
I must say i am PROUD of you! I will be moving to Chiang Mai in June for 3 months then to Pattaya for the rest of my life.
Why Pattaya for the rest of your life?
Hello what do you do for a living ?
@@eQuariuz its the devils playground
Port your US number to google voice for a one time cost of $20 when you visit the US again in order to keep the number. Phone has to be unlocked and port has to be done in the US on the day you're leaving to go back overseas. Then reroute it to Skype number and plan. You'll have one phone bill and one payment a year for US calls. Just make sure you keep the Google Voice line active by calls and text.
Google voice expires when youre living abroad, unfortunately.
I use my google voice here in Thailand with no issues over the past year and a half.. @@tokyojon4344
@@tokyojon4344 expires????
What are you talking🙄
@@tokyojon4344 I’ll look out for that. This is my current setup to still receive text and calls from people in the US while overseas.
So glad I subscribed, your videos are so informative, thank you.
Congratulations Bru keep up the great work
Nice breakdown, appreciate it
Glad it was helpful!
Great video…thanks for sharing!
Thank you Isaiah you were very helpful
Love these videos, I am planning to visit for a month sometime in 2024 and once I retire move there. Thank you so much for these videos!
It's good to hear a logical budget plan I could handle for the basics. I lived in Thailand between 2005-2009. Pattaya and Chiang Mai.
September 2024, I begin my Asian home search again.
I think this time, I am leaning towards Chiang Rai, Hua Hin, and Jomtien. I've lived in Mexico now for 2 years on the Caribbean. Cancun is a great, cheap hub if you roam like I do.
I'll watch for more content
wonderful video , informative ,thanks for sharing
Another excellent video🔥
I like your channel and this video won me over, so you have a new subscriber. Good luck to you Lil' brother. I wish you success in your journey. I will be back (for the 4th time) in July or August this year. Hope to see you.
I’m so happy I found your page, I was thinking about moving to Bangkok, but Pattaya seems attractive as well.
Few notes: On your insurance, make certain you are on the actual health insurance and not the travel insurance. Travel insurance is pretty much BS and worst case they will send you back to the US to get treated in case something serious.
On your US Phone service, toss it. There are plenty of ways to get US phone numbers for cheap, and perhaps even free. I use a few of them (I'm living Tokyo, but will visit where youre at soon).
Yeah but if you toss your US number youll lose everything connected to it back home unless you never plan on coming back correct?
That's dope my guy. My wife and I are going to Thailand next month.
Love your videos bro
I’m really looking into moving to Thailand is just amazing the good life you and have in Thailand. I’m a new subscriber to your channel Were you think is the best place to start at this n Thailand… I’m from Houston Texas. Mexican American
Good info. We're sold!
Thank you for the information
Currently in Pattaya about 10days ago. Laguna Beach Resort
Well done, Thank you!
big fan i watch all ur videos keep up the good work i hope to be able to live in thailand some day
Thank you for the info. I am planning to move there and live for 1 year with my budget $1500 - $1800 per month. Can’t wait to get out of California. Enjoy your time there and be safe. Btw, I watch almost every new video of you. Take care.
Best of luck!
What u going to do for visa ?
what do you need to leave for 1 year. do u need a special passport or something like that
That's a good baseline budget. I live in Thailand. I wouldn't move abroad unless I had an income of at least 25% more than my projected expenses, 50% is safer, which is only about $1000 more than my known monthly expenses.
That’s totally doable
Thx bro, I'm a u.s. vet with a current pension of $1361.00 a month.
You’ll be very comfortable
Very disciplined spending young bro 💪💪
Great video
I love your content😇🥰
That’s dope af and by the beach that’s what’s up!!!
Nice apartment, grounds look well kept.
Man im so tempted to get out the states. Ima need ya to be my first friend if i take this step😹
Thank you so much
Safety wing is $45 only if you are 39 or younger. Its $73 from 40 to 49, $115 from 50 to 59, and $157 from 60 to 69. They don’t cover cancer and you have to pay the hospital first and then submit for reimbursement (they don’t deal directly with the hospital).
Whats a better alternative?
@@Sa7biUK I don’t know I am still researching. I think Safety Wings is fine for people in their 20’s or 30’s but since I’m turning 60 and and the rate would be $157 a month I’d like to have a policy which covers cancer and a carrier that works directly with the hospital (rather than me submitting a claim for reimbursement).
You also need to keep in mind that safety wing is on a 28 day billing cycle. On an annual cost it would be 13 billing cycles not 12.
New subscriber
Thank youfor a very helpful and well presented budget video! How much would you suggest I add as a couple (me and my girlfriend). Would an additional 50% make sense? Thanks again 😊
Thats a really nice Condo and id be happy living there for sure. Im not sure why your USA phone bill is so high though. Maybe you are paying for the phone purchase as well? Its all good though, like you say you are saving in many other areas so good on you. My bills here in USA are outrageous. Water bill is crazy high with pool and grass that needs to be watered. Energy bills are also crazy high and only going up up up. Dont even get me started on Car/Home Insurance. But fortunately i do have good health insurance that is paid for by my employer. But as my home gets older there are Major Major repairs that need to be done that are gonna drain me and put me under water eventually. Thats the biggest bummer for me and i can not stand dealing with Contractors who want all your money and more. I think you are in a great spot in Thailand. Once i break free of the stranglehold i hope to be right there with you. Until then im on that hamster wheel throwing my money at things that i dont want to pay for
Your videos have been very resourceful! Are you in Phuket?
Thanks! No im actually in Bkk
I saw you a few nights ago at the Jomtien Night Market. unfortunately, I didn't get to chat with you. I need to link up with you anytime this weekend. i'm in the Na Jomtien area.
You should look into something like mint mobile for your american phone, I am not sure how they handle international but I only pay about 250$ a year
Hey happy new year bruh. What do you think the rent would be for a short term lease, like 3 to 4 months?
What's the name of the outro music, bro? Its dope 👌🏽
I was just there bro. The dollar stretches so far especially if you eat Thai food.
Thanks for the video, what does visa cost you? Which one you get?
Good info overall. With that food budget, I assume you're eating mostly Thai food? I heard western foods are expensive as heck.
Thanks for good information just want to know how far from beach and how long take you to walk thanks
About a 15 minute walk
Thank you for getting right to the point, other bloggers would drag it on and on. Question, how close is the nearest golf course and what are their green fees ?? I need golf, Ocean and a sweet young lady. Again thank you much. Al
How are you doing the visa for staying the whole year, I'm in Makati Philippines I spent the first 6 mos. of this year in Thailand and the rest in the Philippines will be back in Thailand come the new year.
Nice 👍
With your American phone, turn on WiFi calling and put on airplane mode…this takes way the monthly international charges.
This was a great video and very timely, I’ll be coming over to Pattaya in July. I’m hoping to move there later in the year but I want to spend about 30 days there and kind of get used to the place and see where I want to live. If it’s OK I have a quick question I’m a fruitarian, I only eat fruit and green vegetables, any idea on what it would cost me daily or monthly to eat nothing but fruit at the fruit markets there?
Fruit isn’t expensive here but cost will depend on how much fruit you eat per day. You can get fruit from the stands starting at 20baht ($.57) per serving.
Dang, by the time i retire there i will have no probs in affording lifestyle there after selling my home, instant Bah-Millionaire lol. I just subbed to your channel and would you be able to do a vid on how getting regular mail from the US and also packages say from Amazon, etc from the states, Thank you.
since you didn't mention Visa expenses, How do you live there without Those costs ?
Cool
When you rent a condo or apartment do you also have monthly management fees or is that included?
I love this video. But my question is what do you do for a living. I'm a chef is it easy to get a job there lmk please
What about social expenses such as dating, alcohol, etc. What's the budget for that? Sounds like you've got a great deal on your apt too. What about visa expenses, that has to be included for a 12 month stay I would say.
You need at least $3K a month for that if you are in a bar hopping, dating or GFE. I've done it for 6 months and it's not enough. In my early 50's now.
Can you or should you auto draft your bills in Thailand, like in the US?
good on you my luck to you
What are you doing for work tk allow you to live in Thailand?
Where do you find website to rent a place for a month
Sup Isiah
What’s up 😎🤙🏾
Whats going on my brother just wanted to know what's the name of your condo building and its comparisons to the neighboring condos in the area like in Jomtien. 7 seas, Arcadia, Spana condos etc.
Im going on a world tour in 2024 to get a feel of different locations on where I want to experience a different lifestyle from the Matrix. And maybe settle down with a duel citizenship or residency. Thanks and keep up the good work!
Copacobana is the best condo in Jomtien. That's my personal opinion
@@drhops21 Thanks!!!
How much do you pay for Internet per month? Also how will the new Thai tax law effect your income in 2024?
What is the visa procews
Hey. I'm getting ready to move there too. How can I message you? I have some questions if that's cool
Amazon condo is good. But the walls are thin! My neighbours would scream and shout all night
lol maybe you it was just that your neighbors were loud 😂
@@theisaiahashleyshow4251 All neighbours are loud. that's why I live in a house.
Get foam earplugs to wear when you sleep.
Why don’t you just port your American phone number to a virtually service provider, it would be cheaper and you can still call and receive text from people in the US. Also Food is actually the most expensive lol. Rent is normally the most expensive in the west out of all monthly bills. But I noticed the most expensive tend to be food in south east Asia. Since renting is so affordable.
Can't you switch your US phone account to google fi? $65 a month and you can use it anywhere in the world (basically) with no extra daily fees
How did you your condo for that cheap?
I don't understand the phone thing. Most people use apps to call/text instead of through the phone. Also to keep a number don't you just have to top up $10 once a year once you've switched to prepay? I guess it all depends what you use the phone number for and how things work in America.
The gyms are really expensive out there and from what i have seen they are not very good.(suprisingly)
Can you do a video on the Philippines 🇵🇭
Once i visit there i will
Where do we find those rent prices? every place i have looked it ranges form 20k to 80k
Facebook marketplace
This set up is nice. Anyone knows the name of these condos? Fits my budget.
Amazon
Copacobana over 30,000 baht
If you bought a scooter where would you keep it. is it secure on the street. Is crime bad there, or is theft an issue
Condo has 24/7 security. Crime happens like anywhere but i wouldn’t call it a huge issue. I’ve never felt unsafe here
If you pay for company you gotta add some Baht on that budget. One guy I know spend 30k a week on women in Pattaya, massages and such
lol well i don’t, not my scene haha. So no expense there
You forgot the massage spots with the happy endings 🤫
😂😂
I’ve always had my Australian cel number while in Thailand and it costs me zero. $150 USD a month to have a US number is insane.
How do you stay there longer than 30 days? Do you do border runs?
He’s on educational visa I think, check his other videos.
You can do 60 days and get a 30 day extension. If you're over 50 or going to school you can get a long term visa
Can only do that for 2 years max and they check up these days@@ShredzZ
What do u think about the new tax law in Jan 2024 and also what visa will u do after u exhaust ur education visa ?

I'm moving to Thailand next month. Would like to find a place like that. What's the name of the condo?

Thanks bro
Do you have the direct rental office number or Line ID?

Excellent. Thanks you!! @@theisaiahashleyshow4251
Do you also have Home internet?
I use the hotspot from my phone
Good break down. But what do you do for 16 hours when not sleeping, say 2 hours in gym, 2 hours to prepare meals and wash, that still leaves 10-12 hours to kill. I still love my USA.
Lol i work
@@theisaiahashleyshow4251 Dear, You must be lucky to find work there. I am a professional scientist too, I cannot think of doing much over there.
Visa costs
wot about cash for the ladies !
How did you get the condo? I was thinking about using air bnb but i dont see nice places for less then £350 im going for 50days
What you doing regarding visa?
@@rubik2379 tourist visa. Only there for a month
I am consuming all these videos, I have a military pension of 4k usd and I am deciding on Thailand, Vietnam or Philippines.
With that amount you can live it up in any of those places
Thank you for the info. In Europe your budget is just a one bedroom apartment in a smaller city. I guess its time to move.😂😂😂
In my country you can’t even rent for this price, that’s crazy, and ye I’m from Europe.
You can transfer your American phone number to Google voice, and then pay for a Skype phone number as the transfer number so it will ring
He didn't have to subscribe to Skype though? As long as he has a google voice app, it will ring and he could call or text through the app.
@@chadjiansinlapadamrong768 What I am suggesting is to cancel his carrier plan and transfer his number to Google Voice, which needs a forwarding number for calls. Normally you would just get a random phone number in GV and then have your mobile carrier line as the forwarding number. But if you transfer your carrier number to GV (like you would if switching from T-Mobile to Verizon or another service to keep your number), you’ll no longer have a forwarding line for calls. That’s what the Skype number is for. Skype # is less than $5 a month, he’s keeping his US carrier line for $150 just for the number. Doesn’t make sense. He can pay off the balance of the phone, get it unlocked, and move on.
@@chadjiansinlapadamrong768 you'll still the Skype number or another virtual service in order to make or receive calls after porting.
@@chadjiansinlapadamrong768yes. I use Google Voice for free and no issues calling receiving calls from the US and texts from credit cards and banks. It works great
If you go to public hospital, it will be minimal. Thailand has a universal health care system.
Correct and very good too.
Bro y don’t u do a video of atleast 3 apartments with sqm & price with prices ranging from $200 - $300 a month
That’s coming soon
And what it takes to get a short term lease.
Do you know anyone that has moved there with their dog? Is the country dog friendly TIA
lol there are dogs everywhere 😂 but having one as a pet you may have to actually own your condo because many places do not allow dogs when you rent
@@theisaiahashleyshow4251 Thanks that's what I was wondering
