Aye that band is are killer, I recognise that name but ill look it up as may be I'm thinking of another band. I know mate, I know it's something some will avoid but I always say that if it's political, then you should know it isn't going to always sit with your own belief's, just take in the music and enjoy it and be of the understanding you don't agree with it. No different to death metal and the vocals that glorify killing people

@@TheDeathDoomMetalHead Malokarpatan's last album from 2023 was awesome! Such a cool mix of 70's prog, first-wave and second-wave black metal. And that's how I was when *I* used to talk about those bands on my channel, too, but after a while, it just personally bothered me because of how much those bands went against my moral principles, so I just stopped listening to and mentioning those bands on my channel starting with that video I did related to "safer" alternatives that really blew up. That's just how *I* dealt with that thorny subject, though, so... 🤷‍♂ Everybody deals with it in different ways.

Cheers mate, extreme music needs to push boundaries for me, ignore the messages and beliefs but I appreciate others struggle with that. I do when it comes to harming children and ignore music that promotes that. Cheers for watching mate

So it makes sense for Extreme Metal bands to take that to another level. But yeah, some people aren't into it and that's fine. I agree about the Mayhem cover. Can't even look at that picture; just disgusting. I saw someone wearing a patch of it the other day. Don't know why you would want to put *that* on your battle jacket.

I agree, still blows my mind that he did that and all in the name of pushing his band. I grabbed it more for the history of it but also for the macabre side. I actually showed my 12 year old son the other day that cover talking about depression and what can lead to it. Think it got my point across haha I still can't even read Gjendod correctly in my head let alone say it, you Norwegians know your BM! Cheers for watching mate

I agree but also you shouldn't judge based on their looks. Being a BM artist is one thing and you portray a character to heighten the music and give it an image. I bet in real life he's just a normal dude who is very Finnish and enjoys life the way most of his native people do, he might have different political beliefs but who doesn't. Cheers for watching!

At the end of the EP's title track there's a brief clip of King Theoden after he was freed from Saruman's spell, and then at the end of the intro track on their full-length is Saruman rallying his Uruk-hai to march on Helm's Deep. First time I heard that I was like "Okay, these guys are some cool nerds"

How could I not mention the man that constantly pushes the boat and promotes on all sides of the political world. Still amazes me how people get upset when you clearly are only promoting the music. Yeah I have a fair few releases from that label and all are solid. I know he has 'ties' to older beliefs but when you're young it's normal to push the boat. Especially when you come from a place that doesn't really have many foreigners or mixed cultures. I feel most who complain are from very diverse parts of the world and forget that. I agree, very rare I even look at the lyrics but went on a Google hunt to see why so many get upset over GM music. Some songs are wayyyy out there in lala land for me, I appreciate though people have a different outlook on the world. Music has to be angry and hateful sometimes otherwise like you say you lose the aggression and what makes it enjoyable.

Yeah I only heard of them a year or two ago and when I found that record for a good price I jumped on it. I haven't had any abuse on the comments yet, seems me telling people to get a grip and that I couldn't give a monkeys paid off haha. Yeah the subs seem to go up steadily when i don't put out much haha. This video alone has gotten me 30 odd new subs so shows people like the extreme stuff on all sides. I would say give Pan Native Amerikan Front a go, I think you'd get a kick out of that one or the Hades album as it's a classic. Cheers for watching mate.

Anathema was a band i struggled to get into, if i'm honest. I have the early ep and first album but after that they didn't click with me. To be fair this video is so old now I should really do a new one haha!

You're wayy out of the loop because I can't even remember what I said on this one! I did make my mum a card in the end by memory but was a long time a go now. You need some priest mate, in this modern world you can't discriminate anymore haha!

@@TheDeathDoomMetalHead Its not at all, although I would not call it a complete clone, definitely a heavy influence. They obviously had way more female vocals, and that Australian scene in general had its own thing going on with Chalice and Virgin Black amongst others. No doubt they were MDB doom more than Death or Funeral though !
