Haha, that Dying Fetus story is awesome. Not as bad, but I wore a Dream Theater shirt that was themed like a newspaper with the headline "Murder, Young Girl Killed" to my son's preschool...not a great reaction. I'm sure you'll have fun at Crosses...I have a country concert in a giant stadium coming up with the wife, and I've been dreading it for months. Cheers Liam!
I've worn all sorts of nasty shirts to pre-school. Most people now know i'm harmless but was surprised by a few telling me i looked intimidating. I appreciated these channels like yours Liam. It‘s nice to see what people with similar interest are listening too and collecting. Especially with so much music out there. Reign in Blood reminds me of when they did and in store signing. Dave Lombardo had just left the band and they had the drummer from Whiplash. He scribble out Dave’s face on the back of my LP when he signed it. Then we saw them warm up for Wasp and the place went absolutely crazy. When Wasp came out to play all you could hear where chants of SLAYER! SLAYER! Keep spreading the word my friend.

Really cool entry there. The Broken Hope singer first liiked like a kilt on the guy behind him. "Captain Howdy" is a pretty cool song. I can imagine a death metal cover being... interesting. I've seen Dying Fetus live too - impressive indeed. I've seen that Afsky painting IRL in an art museum in my birth town. It's really striking! Best of luck in the draw.

Nice entry Liam. Mystic Places is a gem, they are way to orchestral now for my taste, but had some really great albums early on. That Jungle Rot cover is killer, not a fan of the band, but they have some great cover art. Cheers. 🤘🏻🤘🏻

Love that Afsky cover; I'll have to check them out, for sure. That Godthrymm album is top-tier, almost like a Bride's reunion of old, with Hamish, Shaun and even Aaron featuring on Follow Me. So much great stuff is coming out this year: My Dying Bride, Alcest, Ulcerate and we had some great Death/Doom with Hamferd just a few weeks ago, and hell even Wintersun for some great epic vibes. Great stuff all around (not so great for our wallets, that's for damn sure). Are you keen on some funeral doom too? I appreciate your boldness in ventures that take you back to youthful bands. I really need to venture out into other stuff I enjoy… perhaps I have gotten in a rut of sorts. Hopefully I will get some more great suggestions like yours and have the courage to act on them. Death Metal is good stuff but I listen to a bunch of other stuff as well.
