Pale Swordsman might be on the fast track to become one of my favourite black metal albums ever. Love the fact that Crying Orc isn't afraid to do piano interludes and a full-blown ballad at the end. Amazing stuff.
I also love Lamp of Murmuur. His newest album does early-90's Immortal surprisingly well and Burning Spears is a fantastic short release.
yeah I don't understand why he's got so much hype as it's nothing really different to most underground BM bands but I will say his music has a certain charm you don't hear often. Lamp Of Murmuur is great, must try and hunt down that latest album. 🤘💀🍻

Congrats on your 150th video Liam. Nice batch of Black Metal Terror to unleashed on the world here. I recently discovered Saor and bought their new one “Origins” which is excellent Scottish Folk Black Metal. Really killer. It would make a great Metal score for Braveheart. Also cool to hear you mention Fields Of The Nephilim. I have some of their stuff."Elizium" and "The Nephilim" are great. Take Care
Cheers David, Saor are great. I nearly got to play a festival with him but his flight was cancelled and they didn't make it. Nephillim are very popular over here. Most of my metal head friends in their 40s are all fans of them. I much prefer the death metal side of them when they dropped the fields part from their name. 🤘💀🍻
A horde of black metal releases there sir. Took me ages to find Gaerea on vinyl so to get it off a mate was pretty cool. I'm still just dipping my toe into the black metal forest so i'll be checking out these recommendations. Congrats on 150 videos Liam

Pale Swordsman was to pale for me. Have not listened to Agathodaimon since the 90's, was pretty good back then, but grew tired of that style. Gaerea is excellent, love the energy in their music. Great update Liam. Cheers.

I need to fully explore Akhlys and the associated projects. When there are so many releases it intimidates me because I want to have them all. I am curious what you think of the new Lamp of Murmuur. I think it is well done but so far on the Immortal worship side that it doesn't sound like their own material. Cheers Liam!
Black metal is a like a big worm hole for me, I seem to find a ton of bands I like and then once i've acquired some their music I find a ton more haha. Yeah I agree, i'm more of a fan of that gothic infused d-beat style Lamp has done on most releases. But if you want to make it to the big time you got to raise your game and I guess doing early Immortal style will get you there. Cheers for watching mate 🤘💀🍻

Bitter Hymns is really good every song stands out on it's own I'm waiting on the cd release but I would have picked up the vinyl if money was not a problem 😅. Agathodaimon have some good albums but I haven't been bothered to check out the new one. Forfader is the only one I have from all these I think Kim or Mark showed it a while back good stuff.

It's a cracking album, Steve certainly knows how to write a decent BM track. New Agathodaimon was a steal so nabbed it as liked what i sampled on YT. Gordon sent me some belters and some rather naughty stuff that may trigger a few people haha! Cheers for watching mate 🤘💀🍻

I got The Burning Spears of Crimson Agony on black vinyl, got it from Hells Headbangers and I got Submission & Slavery on Bandcamp.
I’m also from Florida just to note, and Hells Headbangers reissued a few of their demos a few weeks ago I believe
