When you use the lower slot at the front, there is a gap between the seat and the tank. Is there a part that goes in the gap, do you know? Very helpful video, thanks.

It looks like from the quick pic that the antitheft advice only stops it being taken off the ram mount. Wouldnt people just be able to unbolt the ram mount instead??

Anyone know where I can get the extra bit on the flyscreen? the clear bit? I've been looking for one for mine but struggling to find anything that isnt for the newer models.

Great video, my mates and I did that road a couple of years back when touring the area, we did it the other way so ended up in Hawes. Bit hairy that way with those shear drops and small fences, might stop a car but a bike rider could easily go over, we rode in the middle of the road where we could 😂.

That's awkward and slow method. Use the plastic bag with little amount of soap. On in 20 seconds

A great video and a stunning bike. Probably the best "do everything" bike you can by for tarmac use. Sports, touring, commuting! It's great at everything.

The stock screen on my 2023 ninja SX is not bad, best in position number two from the bottom of four. I have to say the oem touring screen does quiet things down a bit more and I've liked it in the same position best I'm so happy I took a test ride on this machine to get my interest going, looking forward to my first long Northwestern USA trip this spring summer season. Its a phenomenal bike for sure. Realize this does not have electronic suspension at all, the modes do NOT change the suspension at all. The modes only change the reaction of 6axis IMU and throttle sensitivity. Kawasaki has done such a great job on the fueling of this bike I've just decided to leave it in sport mode at all times. Great review I'm in total agreement with you! I've put over 5000 miles on mine in just 6 months.

I bought a 2021 Yam Tracer this summer to replace my aging GS1150 Jesus it’s the most uncomfortable bike I think I have ever ridden. I tried at much cost to sort the bloody seat out and also tried various mods to no avail. I rode around 1k miles in 4 weeks hoping to get used to it but in my opinion the bike doesn’t know what it is.. it’s not a sports bike nor is it at any sense of the world a tourer even if it was the GT model I had. Sold it at a loss and didn’t even look as it was picked up by the dealer I bought it from. Back on a newer GS and my god what a difference!

I have a tracer 9gt. The wife says its brilliant on back. But ive a topbox so she sits back on that. Really comfy.

You don't need one of these. You went round roundabout in third - TOO HIGH. And in 30 mph zone in fifth.

Went to look at a tracer and got put off as im short legged this has been really useful to know i might buy one now as i really love the bike and how they look cheers for this

Thanks for this video, I'm also a 29" leg and since replacing my much loved MT07 with a Tracer 900 I've been struggling with the bike at low speeds and stops because of the height. In gravel car parks it's pretty scary trying to back the bike into a space on tip toes. This video has convinced me that lowering will be worthwhile, hopefully it'll work, as every time I ride the Tracer I find myself wishing I was back on the MT07.

Sounds like the work was done at the dealership. Were they able to order the part for you? Was it an OEM part? I am considering buying a Tracer 9 GT here in the US and I may want to lower it a bit. Just curious how that process went for you. Trying to find information that is not aftermarket, online, is difficult. Thanks!

Looks like the perfect bike for me, with two exceptions: I'm just under 5'7", but a lowering kit could help, but I really love shaft drive. That's the biggie for me.I hate chains.

I've just bought the R with monumental upgrades. Wilburs Rear shock. Front fork inserts. Quickshifter. Flyscreen. Belly pan. Heated grips. Tyre monitor. Longer arm mirrors. Daytona cams. It's a beautiful bike and I love it. 😊

If you ride this bike below 60mph like it is being ridden in 90% of this video, like if you are riding in town it will behave very smooth. If you are riding it very aggressive and fast it will do that even better. This is just an awesome very flexible bike that you can do almost everything on. And like mentioned in the video, it hides its weight very well. Turns better than any other bike around and even below its weight. This is my dream bike and I will buy it within a couple of years, I can not think of a better bike if you can only have one bike that has to do it all!

Great tip! If you have an air compressor and a nozzle use this in conjunction with your method and install is a breeze 👍🏼

I've watched a number of these now and everyone gets it wrong. Just use isopropyl alcohol on the existing grip and the inside of the puppy. Slides right on and after it dries grabs perfectly. This method doesn't leave soap residue that if it gets wet again may cause the puppy to slip. Leave the screw drivers for screws.

I have the same bike, but when loaded with luggage and rear carrier I find the bike too vertical, even with stiffening the shocks a bit. Has anyone chopped the side stand slightly to get a slightly better lean.

I want to lower a 2022 Tracer 9GT. Can someone tell me where i can purchase lowering links? I'm from Canada, I phone Yamaha Canada and they don't sell lowering links.

Great video on the GT for us short folk. Many thanks. Did I miss it or can you mention your height and especially your inside leg size. I had the shorter links fitted on my 2018 GT. lowered with lust links by 20mm but found that depending where I parked it I struggled to get the side stand down or when it was down the bike stood up too straight which worried me. Sounds likes it’s much better with just getting it lowered by 15mm. I now have a 2022 MT09 which is a great bike but I miss all the benefits of the GT. I actually had the links taken out but the bike was too tall for me so I sold it unfortunately. Looking to bike a GT again but checking things out first. Hi from Glasgow. 👍
