The story of Jim Jones is coming this is something that clicked for me.
Jonestown cult site prior to the massacre was only 15 minutes away from the lake county border over in redwood valley. I will be doing a video soon on the full scope of what Jones did. Upon the research I've done this involving Jones and other individuals that have hurt innocent people this connection clicked. Monsters often hide in sheep's clothing on purpose to cover the crimes they are doing. There is a lot of information about this person's life in books, documentaries, articles etc. It's taken a lot more time than I expected but I'm hoping this will be a video to help others watch for warning signs. #truecrimecommunity #truecrimetok #jonestown #truecrime

It is an insult to call Indians "native" and especially "native Americans" because they were not Americans and never wanted to be. So call them by their tribal name or Indian, which by the way has no reference to the Indian nation because that land was known as Hindustan and not "India" when Columbus arrived. Bad people did bad things to good people in every age of every know civilization. The best way to honor the Pomos is to build a memorial park to explain their history. Changing the name of town that was created by early pioneers does not stop hate or the desire for revenge. Early pioneers suffered hardships as well to get here. The Comanches and other tribes were famous for torture, kidnapping, rape and smashing babies skulls of settlers. Sorry, life is not pretty so stop feeling guilty about it.

Yes I'm a believer Cheyenne, I think I saw a UFO on the Mendocino coast that I believe may have come out of the ocean! 😱 My dad and a friend were talking, then they got quiet for a while, I eventually looked over and they were staring upwards in a trance-like state. I immediately looked upward myself and saw what looked like the moon, but the moon was also there! It just shrank and disappeared quickly like an object moving directly up and away from us, after it was gone, we all agreed that we saw the same thing and they were unaware that they appeared to be entranced!

Many don't know the full story which is why I made this ❤ the best thing you can do moving forward is help educate others and hopefully one day we can change the name and give the natives peace instead of the painful reminder for them to face everyday. It's not erasing history but an act of kindness to those whose families were affected. Acknowledging what happened to them, the pain it caused and take away the name that glorifies their abuser taking away the last of his power over them. History will always be there. It's in our books in the monuments. They say the name is a reminder for history not to be repeated yet many don't even know the history with the name being there. Germany remembers their history and all town names were changed immediately at the end of Hitlers reign. I don't get why so many don't see this as the same when it truly was on a smaller scale.

This is a volcano field, and it will have many different grades of soil, ranging from very fine shale dirt or clay to porous volcanic rocks. Once it gets clogged by water, it redirects a new route to break it free again, causing frequent ground instability.

Thank you for gathering and presenting this information. I just moved to Clearlake a few years ago. I heard about Bloody Island and Andy Kelsey's treatment of the native Pomo, but not in this much detail. I'm not surprised that their hunting, torture, and extermination attempts went a lot farther than most people know. We have a bad habit of hiding our bloody history. It's horrible what happened, but I think it's important to understand history so we don't repeat it. I have a question though. You mentioned a Mormon named Joseph Smith as one of the people leading a group of settlers along with Sam Kelsey. Are you referring to the Joseph Smith that started the Mormon religion? I ask because I was raised Mormon, and though I've long sing left the church because of it's bigotry, I never heard anything about Joseph Smith coming to California. It looks like he died in Illinois in 1844, which was well before Andy Kelsey was killed in 1849. I also looked into his son, Joseph Smith III, but both of them lived in the midwest as there's no record of them ever coming to Califronia. There is a Joseph F. Smith, who was the nephew of the original Joseph Smith. He traveled to San Bernadino in 1854, but he can't be your guy either since the Bloody Island Massacre happened in 1850. Just trying to figure out which Joseph Smith it was and if the Mormon church was involved. There is at least one massacre in the church's history, the Mountain Meadows Massacre in 1857 in Utah. But that primarily a conflict between the Mormons and the US government. Sources vary as to whether or not the native Paiutes were even involved, though the Mormons did disguise themselves as Indians as an attempt to avoid government backlash for the people they killed.

I live on Cobb. When I first heard about the Kelsey Brothers years ago, I always wondered why in the world is this town still named Kelseyville? It's such a horrific story depicting the utter evil that humanity has to offer. The signs should be torn down, and the Pomo peoples should be able to rename the land. It is DISGUSTING and embarrassing that the name of that town continues. The name Kelseyville should not exist any more than a place called Hitlerville.

Today in Kelseyville, CA there is still too much racism against Mexicans and Latinos... whites always treating others as a lesser race. I personally say this from experience in government jobs or better jobs in Kelseyville. Lakeport, Clearlake are the whites and only them and when you bring your resume they don't even take the time to read it. And in all aspects it is a nice town but the people have the same bad racist supremacist mentality as before. And the people from these places are poor, but very racist. Compared to other places where very rich and kinder people live and they are not racist. I have known Kelseyville for more than 25 years and I know very well what Latinos and the majority of Mexicans go through.

I lived on 7th st in Lucerne in the 80's. My friends and I would pass it every day walking to and from school. I think it was a private school of some sorts. Sometimes kids would run to the fence and talk to us but would get in trouble and have to go back. Some would tell us that it was definitely haunted. They said they would here odd noises at night and see people that were see through walking around then just vanish. These were young kids maybe 8 to 12 years old telling us. I always got a weird creepy vibe and walked on the other side of the rd. Never really new what the place was. Was thinking about it and started looking it up. I come upon your video. Thought I'd tell you what I kinda knew about it. Really liked the video. Took me a little walk down memory lane. Thank you.

I've watched the night sky for a decade in the place I lived until recently. I always get up a few times in the middle of the night and would watch the sky for awhile, the things ive seen and heard ....holy cow, who knew!!. I have taken recordings and pictures (cell phone so not the greatest pics). To this day we see UFOs just driving home on hwy 29 from Calistoga that are amazing! Aircraft that shouldn't fly that fast and suddenly disappear, aircraft that stays in one spot for hours then slowly fly way hours later, we just don't have that kind of technology Never thought id see anything alien like but after all these years you realize yes, they're around. A couple of times I would walk into my bedroom late at night and see a round blue light shining down in the middle of my bed. Obviously im thinking flashlight right? No, this was too large anyway and coming down through the ceiling. It felt like the light was scanning the bed was looking for bodies in the bed to scan. It was one of the many many many weird things I've seen during this decade starting in 2014. One night a few years back I was heading towards hidden valley driving on the highway, both my daughter and I saw a furry blob like thing with tentacles waving around on the side of the road laying over the white line on the right of the road (for example, it was waving around like a cats tail does, with purpose not random movement). I slowed down to see what it was. There were other cars in front and back of us so some people had to have seen it too. It looked like some DNA experiment gone wrong, (such as combining a deer and an aquatic animal DNA) I feel lucky to have seen and heard what I have, its all so strange and exciting to know all of it actually exists!!!!
