Nice series of tests. I've been shooting TAC22 for 3 years now .I was shooting it out to 300 yds just today. I find it generally shoots as well in my CZ457's, Vudoo and Bergara as SK STD+. . I had "Meh" results with Norma Match 2 years ago but will give it another try.

In Australia the top end 22 ammo is nearly on par to 223 centre fire.😢

Remington Subsonic HP much better accuracy. My old Mossberg consistently prints .250 groups at 50 yds. With it.

Interesting. With my 10/22 Takedown when I did the action screw torque test I went from 15 to 35 at 2.5 increments and the best group was at 17.5, very close second was 15 and 20 was very close 3rd. But after a few weeks and around 200 rounds later it seemed the rifle started to lose accuracy. Turns out the action screw had become loose. So I redid the test but didn't go past 30. This time 15 inch pounds was best. But from the experience of the action screw coming loose after a while, I now take the torque screw set at 15 or 17.5 inch pounds to it after every 50 rounds or so to make sure the screw hadn't started to back out. If I remember right, I think I read or have heard that Ruger's recommendation is 20 inch pounds.

I'm currently trying to decide between the heavy barrel and the 18" lightweight. I think I want an opposite to my 21 pound rimx. But have been worried about the accuracy i would be losing. This makes me feel a little better. Decisions decisions

Man, I saw a factory ruger 10/22 that was shooting @ 2" groups at 50yrds. Changed to a Houge over mold stock, faxon 16" bull barrel, faxon bolt= 1/2 groups at 50yrds with cci's standard velocity. Awesome video brother. New subscriber here 🙏🕊😎👍

my stock carbine shoots 1/4" groups at 400 yards all day long with a 4x Barska scope. Using Remington Thunderturds and a stock 5.5# trigger................

I've owned multiple CZ457's, both in 16.5 and 20", a few CZ455's, and both Bergara B14R's (steel and carbon barrels), along with several RPR's (22LR & 17 HMR). I've also currently own a Sako Quad with multiple barrels, thus my Tikka experience. After owning close to 20 rimfires, the one 22LR rifle I can recommend over and over without a shadow of a doubt is the CZ457 in the factory MDT stock in 16.5". Out of the box, you won't find a better 22LR for the money. Action, ammo fussiness, extraction, magazines; they cannot be beat. IMHO, CZ 16.5" barrel is way better than the 20".

Again your series on bulk 22lr ammunition has been enlightening to say the least. I have had similar results with Winchester ammunition. I quit buying it and the remaining ammo I ran through my Ruger revolver. Thanks for this series again. Your channel is the best.

I've had some really good luck with Aguila bulk. It's not exactly match ammo, but is quite accurate for me through my CZ457 and Ruger precision. It also runs well through the semi-auto for the 4H shooting sports club that I help with and I've also been able find it for pretty good price. I'm a fan.

good series Don. I think what I like best about your channel is you deal with the average Joe. Most of the other have guns that most of us wont buy cause we cant afford them. You shoot cheap ammo while others shoot high dollar. Great channel!!

Looks like your results are just like miy, the chrono makes it seem like it might shoot, but it's just plinking ammo for me. I would suggest to run from the competition ammo they have, super velocity spikes and shoots like buck shot! Hell I'd mail you a few boxes so you don't have to spend the cash!

I've ran atleast 6k of this through my MP15-22 haven't had a single malfunction and that's suppressed. Great content Teflon Don.

I just picked up 15 boxes of the OTM to try out in my 16” mid length “gpr”. Or whatever you want to call it. Basically my 400-500 yard MAX gun with a 1-8 lpvo. As long as the barrel likes them I am happy with the velocity and accuracy of those for the price.

Your NOT BAD is horrible for me. Sorry, but for me, those groups are awful. I have the same ammos and get 1/4” groups with mine at 50 yards. So if you think over 1” groups is not bad, then you were not raised to shoot accurately.

Man O was so glad to find this video. I got one of these rifles couple years back from Walmart. It came in a Boyd's stock with a weaver 3x9 scope. I got it bc of the zombie green stock and accutrigger and it was on sale for 399.0. Upgraded the scope and Man l couldn't believe the performance! I been gloating on it ever since. Love that you did this post.

SK Magazine in my old CZ455 as measured with Garmin Xero 1070fps SD 8.0 ES 26.8, 30 rounds recorded. Use it for Day at the Range challenge targets. You can see why!

I watch a lot of your vid's but am late to this one. It just now came up on my watch list. I have a theory here. I'll just about bet the less than possible expected fliers from the loose bullets to case shots are due to the Bentz chamber forcing them tightly back into the case although there is no guarantee they will be perfectly aligned. I Would also bet that in a lesser chamber, such as a typical sporter chamber would show many more fliers as the bullets would be allowed to enter the lead an different angles much more often as there is no real guiding them in by funneling in such a chamber. Please do add CCI Minimags. My 1984 model 10/22 sporter shoots great with the 36 grain Minimags. Not so much with the 40 grain.

I shoot the 77 grain FGMM and get about a half MOA from it from my match conditioned Service Rifle used in CMP governed Service Rifle Competition.

Was the aguila you shot the .22 super extra 40gn high velocity @ 1255fps? That's the stuff i have, and it shoots really good for me. .7" average. It's the best high velocity stuff i have next to the Eley hp hv. But i have only been able to find it in 50rd boxes. Thanks, love the series

I really want to see the Eley HP High velocity! It's about all i shoot. I hunt with it, but it's very accurate in my gun. Also i say it's fine to add the CCI, It shoots terrible for me.

Hey there Don, I think that CCI Mini Mags would be a good test for this list! You can buy 300 round boxes (at least in canada) and I think it would be worth a shot haha. Cheers and thanks for the great vids:)

It was funny, the Aguila Standard Velocity went from 1.5 - .38 in four five shot groups! I was totally confused!😅

In my opinion, no matter the packaging, I really think Mini-Mag has terrible accuracy!

I did SK Rifle Match vs Aguila Standard Velocity. The results out of my rifle were hilariously similar!😮😅🤣😂
