I think it's idiotic how they announce that John Force won't be competing this week. It's pretty obvious since he's still in the hospital for crying out loud. And for those who think he's going to just bounce back, remember he's in his 70s now. The human body naturally starts to become more fragile as you age. He's a tough old goat, true, but he's gone through a lot of physical punishment. Even just dealing with the G forces of these cars does a number on all the racers over time. I pray he fully recovers. I also pray, for his sake, that he steps back after this. Don't think his body can handle much more. Hang in there, John. Was great meeting you in Denver.

I live a couple of blocks from John in Yorba Linda. Run into him on occasion at the gas station, In N Out etc. Super nice and friendly guy. Very humble. Very approachable. Same with his daughters.

great race . I think all the old folk homes are empty this weekend .. I am 65 and fit right in it way fun. 337 mph. side by side 330 plus, no blow ups or crashs. I remember in the 1960s dandy dick landy with a cigar and shorts and t shirts . runnig a hemi 4 speed.

I said it a long time ago the NHRA needs NASCAR safer barriers from the starting line all the way to the end!!! If they were in place John would be fine!!!!!
