Tony Stewart LEAVES NASCAR, Possible Future of TSR Nitro?

- The news of Stewart-Haas Racing sent shockwaves across the motorsports landscape today as co-owners Tony Stewart and Gene Haas have decided to part ways and shut down their 6 car operation across the Cup and XFinity Series after 15 years which saw them capture 2 Cup Championships, an XFinity Championship, as well as the 2017 Daytona 500. While the news is shocking, it is not a surprise to those who have been paying attention the past few years to the state of the team, not just in the comments Tony Stewart has made about the current situation of NASCAR, but also Gene Haas's involvement since starting up his Formula 1 team back in 2015. With the departure of one of NASCARs largest teams and one of it's most iconic drivers. It leaves questions about the future of what Tony Stewart will do next, as well as what his next adventure might be. Especially in the NHRA.

Correction. I got the series wrong, ASCOC sold to High Limit.
It is of no surprise to me that Tony Stewart is leaving nascar. He was not happy the direction nascar was headed.
NASCAR has been going in a different direction for a while now but when guys like Gordon, Stewart, and Earnhardt retired that was when NASCAR really changed.
Tony knows when to get out and that's what he did!

And think about it Tony’s bringing new eyes to drag racing and I’ll get to meet Tony coming up here in a couple of weeks in Richmond and I’m looking forward to it and I plan on shaking his hand and saying thank you thank you for coming over to drag racing thank you for being more accessible to fans
They need to bring nascar back to how things were run (somewhat)in the 1990s

If you think about it what if he stayed in IndyCar and had nothing to do with NASCAR. He could have just stayed running sprint cars. If he wants to move on then move on. He as you said owes nothing to any one. If he is happy in the NHRA great for him. I hope he does great driving top fuel. Who knows he may be like John Force still running in his 70's.
I was at LVMS for an NHRA event a little over a year ago when Tony was going to make a qualifying pass in his nitro injected TA/D right after the first round of nitro qualifying. You could see Tony's car in the staging lanes, and all the real race fans stayed to watch Tony make one of his first handful of full passes in a dragster. All the none race fans left after the nitro qualifying because they know nothing of racing.
Ford and Redbull might do something in Nascar with new F1 deal in 2026...

Love your content!! I grew up in drag racing and if and know how deep the nitro hook can get set. And Tony has been caught and on the boat. Lol he will always be a drag racer. Still think he is a funny car world champion in the making, and deep down he knows it. Thats why we haven't seen video of him in Matt car. Just my opinion
Gene F1 cars were DQ in qual & sent to the back row last race! & i did get that till Monday night i ran the tape to get it on digital i saw that maybe a big fine too!
