The last day before qualifying for the 2024 Indianapolis 500 took place today at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway as the series turned up the boost and let the 34 entries push the limits of their V6 engines as they roared around the Speedway in preparation for qualifying. We saw Team Penske flex their muscles on the track as they looked to capture win 20 at the 500 as Josef Newgarden set blistering fast laps alongside his teammates Scott McLaughlin and Will Power. We saw multiple issues plaguing teams including Rahal Letterman Lanigan who struggled to find pace, Alex Palou of Chip Ganassi Racing who lost an engine, and of course, rookie Nolan Siegel who had a vicious crash that saw him flip over and destroy the team only oval chassis for the month.
