NHRA made it's return to Virginia Motorsports Park this weekend, and once again it delivered to it's expectations as while the heat was brutal all weekend long we got to see some impressive runs and great action on Sunday. However despite all that the big story leaving Virginia is the situation regarding NHRA icon John Force who suffered a violent incident during round 1 of eliminations against Terry Haddock.

John looked like he was ready to climb off that stretcher and pull the back up car out and go to round 2 lol
John at his age is driving a car that is more powerful than even the one Austin Coil tuned for him.
John showed he is still capable of driving these things better then anyone. His natural reaction right after the explosion to keep the car off the right wall that first time is amazing but unfortunately after that he couldn't see anything.
To add to your point, look at the rear tires after he corrects it keeping in mind, it’s still in slow motion obviously, and you can see that all kinds of stuff, including fire, got under the back tires, and they went down, you can visually see the right rear go down and you’re just not gonna be able to steer it back.. He is definitely one of the top drivers at present time..
I might as well vent a little bit, people are pissing me off severely by posting he should retire, especially already with this incident, where he could have burned his lungs or whatever..
Some people have not just zero, but a negative amount of common sense when it comes to the stuff saying that he should stop driving for all the wrong reasons basically.. And especially saying it at the wrong time.. I don’t wanna see anything happen to him but yeah. I’ll stop here. I don’t want to get on that topic lol.
That man and the people he’s put himself around, have done more for the sport that any other driver ever and that’s just how it is.. He is the best, and will always be the best!
Big fan of yours, we need more TH-camrs tomorrow this sport. Keep doing your thing man!

John Force has been upside down backwards and on fire faster than anyone ever.
That was a horrible wreck, John seems to have 9 lifes ,I hope he isn't seriously injured.

This is something I said, too.Gotta be a sensor that can launch chutes in emergency including pit crew member with a remote switch.
@StephanBrezinski, there is already a sensor that is supposed to go off when a supercharger explodes because the driver can be knocked out. That has happened before and what killed Blaine Johnson and Eric Medlen. This safety sensor was created after medlens wreck
Blaine ran into one of the turn outs at Indy. They got rid of them and put continuous walls up
@user-rx7ns4re9u your right. That one was a crazy accident. Blaine car comes apart before it hits the turnouts. My dad was safety safari during the 80 the 90s. Scott Kalitta had a similar wreck to what John's was today. Fortunately or unfortunately, i dont know if it helped or hurt John bouncing off the walls to slow the car down. I wonder if his legs are okay?

Where is the parachutes I know the explosion is a real concussion but I also know as a driver that's one of the first things you do is to get those shoots out
Could have been a mechanical failure that prevented their deployment . At this time we just don't know , but you can be sure , it's being looked at .

The scariest one was a few years back I was at the finish line at Wildhorse when John's car exploded and tangled up with limberg. The girl standing next to me actually got hit with debris. But I was scared because the track gave no updates for 45 mins..it was silent. We all thought the worst.
