As an autistic person, that "Autism Challenge" really angers me. The whole "flapping thier hands and different facial expression" part doesn't even show up in most cases of autism.
All Might I actually go to a special needs school. I have Tourette’s. And everyone I know there with autism acts normal. And it makes me mad too. I have classmates with the spectrum that act completely normal. And if you never asked you would have had no idea.
I don't understand why people think people with autism are like dumb and can't think for themselves. I know two people with autism. One is an amazing artist and the other is getting into college a few years early through his high-school program. They are amazing people and don't "flap their arms around..."
Some of the smartest people in the world and all of history had autism including Albert Einstein in fact people with autism commonly have a higher understanding of math and logical thinking, yet it's a trade off for social skills and literacy. I am autistic BTW.

Its not something to make fun of and it can get really hard if you can't get diagnosed. You can't get the right help with a diagnosis so you have to figure things out by yourself, which isn't easy. hi! clinically diagnosed autistic person here. just so you know, the labels "high-functioning" and "low-functioning" are really harmful. in old times, people who were considered "high-functioning" were functioning members of society, and people who were considered "low-functioning" were killed. the reason is because "low-functioning" people are not able to think for themselves and need more help than others, whereas "high-functioning" people may not need so much help than other autistics and can be considered talented. but the thing is, we only want to be accepted as normal human beings and not be singled out. sure we need more help than others when it comes to this, but all we want is to be treated as people, not like babies or a flipping disease. also, autism isn't linear, it's a spectrum. there's different levels of everything, and no autistic person is the same. so, just to make it more simple, instead of using labels as such, just use "autistic people" next time (it's what majority of them prefer). thank you! p.s. The way people view autism disgusts me, as if we're all idiots. Like yes, I stim (verbally and non verbally), experience sensory overload, and sometimes struggle to communicate or interpurt tones. Still, you can't tell by looking at me (surprise, people dont 'look' autistic). In addition, I'm going a selective private college next fall and got so many scholarships my tuition went from 50k to 14k a year. I've played the cello for 5 years and I also play the ukelele, some guitar, and sing alto in chorus. I'm a good artist and an amazing writer. I did an honors program in high school, I was colorguard captain, I'm very social and can even be considered extroverted. This isnt to brag, and I hope it doesnt come off that way, this is judt to say that we are NORMAL people. The way people view autism disgusts me, as if we're all idiots. Like yes, I stim (verbally and non verbally), experience sensory overload, and sometimes struggle to communicate or interpurt tones. Still, you can't tell by looking at me (surprise, people dont 'look' autistic). In addition, I'm going a selective private college next fall and got so many scholarships my tuition went from 50k to 14k a year. I've played the cello for 5 years and I also play the ukelele, some guitar, and sing alto in chorus. I'm a good artist and an amazing writer. I did an honors program in high school, I was colorguard captain, I'm very social and can even be considered extroverted. This isnt to brag, and I hope it doesnt come off that way, this is judt to say that we are NORMAL people. It's about many male hygiene products not being taxed as they are "essencial for male well being", therefore a necessity, while female hygiene products, as tampons, being taxed, therefore increasing their prices even when tampons (among other things) are indeed essencial for female well being, therefore also a necessity.
