Try listening to the Spanish singer Raphael, big in the '60s and '70s. The "go oonnn" makes me think of his voice. Try "Balada de la trompeta" or "Yo soy aquel." You might like them!
It's so sweet because it translates into *"my life"* if my Spanish memory is correct. I explained that to my girlfriend and she loved the song even more.
@@ThatSingerReactions I watched the surface pressure music clip before watching the movie, it didn’t spoil anything for me, just made me more curious about the movie!
This song doesn’t spoil anything, swear it. Just stay away from ‘What Else Can I do’, ‘All of You’ and ‘Dos Oruguitas’ if you wanna avoid being spoiled. But Surface Pressure is also an AMAZING song to react to
You should definitely watch it. I'd say, if anything, this song just creates more questions if you haven't seen the movie. It's probably the best in the movie, but it somehow manages not to spoil anything.
I was just thinking about it today, that they could’ve just used this music video as a trailer and it would’ve pulled us all in just as effectively lol
I love the diversity as well, which is rooted in Colombia's history. Colombia is inherently culturally multiracial: Indigenous folk lived there for thousands of years. Then the Spanish conquistadors sailed in looking to start shit, and they bought African captives with them, making them do forced labor (the slave trade). All along the way, those three different groups -- Indigenous, Spanish, and African folk -- worked, rebelled, escaped, allied; and, hooked up (sometimes consensually, tho, in the case of the whims of some slave masters, sometimes not). That is why there are many Colombian families that are Afro-Latinx, instead of being only white Spaniards. Same goes for Caribbean families like mine.
The Culturally Multiculture goes for all Latino-America though. And as a Latina myself I would like to ask you... DON'T USE LATINX. We don't like it and don't agree to that.
A lot of people comment on how Camilo sounds during the line "Isabella, your boyfriend is here!". His voice gets deep and weird, but I always took that as character work choice because he shaped shifted. The line "here" comes out as he changes into Mariano, so he changes his voice as he sings the line
A little intro- The lady that started the song (wedding lady) she controls weather so when Bruno says "it looks like rain" it "floods my(weather lady) brain" and then there was a hurricane! The second lady can hear almost everything so she's whispering! The next guy is a shapeshifter so gives a visual about Bruno! Bruno was gifted with prophecies so what he says is actually eventually gonna happen, but Bruno gets the blame for everything bad that happens! That's why we don't talk about Bruno-no-no-no-no.... Love from India ❤️
It's on Disney Plus.Amazing movie. The family is Colombian. They all have magic powers except the main character. Bruno has the power of prophecy and became the scapegoat of the family because of it.
Yes, Yes , Yes watch the movie. The voices were all recorded during everyone’s lockdowns so it was done all over the internet in some of the actors countries. The actress who plays the grandma recorded in Columbia in South America and it wasn’t until the premiere of the movie that some of the actors met each other. 🤯🤯
I've heard that this was the first animated movie to feature every hair type/texture from 1a to 4c. They invented a whole new way of doing CGI hair so they could do everybody in this big mixed family justice. Bruno is the black sheep of the family - he's the one who gets blamed for everything that goes wrong. He's the main character's uncle, and she was just 5 when he disappeared and the family completely stopped talking about him.
You should absolutely watch it! I'm almost 35 and the furthest thing from a Disney adult. I had to watch this. It is now my favorite Disney movie of all time.
You should definitely watch it. It's one of the best Disney movies (or, really, movies, period) to come out in a while. Intriguing mystery, deep message, fantastic characters, out of this world music. It deserves, like, ALL the awards.
Colombia summed up in a marvelous movie !!!! and the best thing for those of us who know it is that in truth in many places this is what you breathe: charm, magic, power
Bruno is the central character’s uncle… and you will NEVER get this song out of your head! Bruno is lurking in a lot of the song. He appears in the first verse “Bruno walks in with a mischievous grin”.. xxxx🇦🇺🐨🇦🇺🐨❤️ Lin Manuel-Miranda wrote Hamilton, you can hear the similarities.
would definitely love to see your movie reaction if you do it on your patreon. I personally seen the movie about 4 times, it’s a good movie with great songs.
Tio Bruno, or her uncle, saw the future. These were just their "version" of what Tio Bruno told them he saw. Enjoy the movie soon. The music is incredible all the way through the movie.
I've been going through reactions to these songs the past couple days and it's positively *killing* me that people aren't watching the movie and reacting to the songs as they come up, there is so much here that's missed without everything before it.
one thing i’m proud of is how we come in all colors , shapes n sizes and they put that in the movie bc hispanics are all different kinds of things since ofc it isn’t a race .. and there are a lot of young hispanics or latinos who feel out of place for either being more pale or being a poc now they united everyone 🥰
All Bruno does is Tell The Future. And then they blame that sweet man for stuff anyone could have told them would happen! *I MUST Know when you watch the whole movie because I LOVE your reactions!!!!!* 🤗🥰
I'm not much of an animated movie fan but I had to watch this with my 6 year old granddaughter. It's extremely well done and to my surprise was quite enjoyable!
I watched a reaction to one of the songs from someone else right before this. He had dismissed watching the movie outright solely on the basis of it being animated and thus "for kids" and was clueless about the lessons in the songs these days. This reaction was a breath of fresh air after that. So open, so positive. Thanks, my dude!
Fashion Alert: It took me long enough, but I finally noticed - The frames of Mirabel's glasses are the same color as Uncle Bruno's Majik. It seems they can both see more than the average person: Bruno sees the future, Mirabel sees what's in peoples' hearts and their emotional needs.
You wont be able to figure out what the movie is about from this clip, it happens like half way through the movie. Honestly while it's blowing up at the moment, if you haven't seen the movie it was a weird request as it wont make any sense.
Bruno is the uncle in this family let me spoil it all for you. This movie deals with generational trauma and there is no inter racial marriage this movie is set in Colombia. 😅😅😅 watch the movie. Antonio is the most adorable 5 year old animated character to date with Disney.
BTW the first lady controls the weather with her emotions and him saying there will be rain caused a hurricane pretty much. And the guy even said it was a joyous day. The only person who said anything bad about him was Camilo and he probably didn't really know him. But he knows the future, and they think their fate is sealed when said. This info mostly came from the Family Madrigal song and this one.
Loved your enthusiasm! You should definitely check out the full thing, besides the stellar animation and music it also has a fantastic story well suited to an adult audience. If you want to check out more songs I only recommend family madrigal for more context on the characters and surface pressure for an introduction to the themes. Other song are spoilery imho
Definitely not getting spoiled on the movie’s plot, but the soundtrack outranks the story - this would KILL as a live play…thank you Sir, for your reaction vid!
2:45 real quick anecdote about the interracial comment. I believe he’s the same type of Latino as his wife. My grandfather is Hispanic but if you knew nothing about heritage and just guess based on skin color he could easily be mistaken for black because his tone is just that dark. I’ve seen a similar phenomenon on others of Latin heritage but one can never make too many assumptions because at some point it’s rude you know.
Hey! I’d recommend reacting to the Spanish version also! It sounds so much better. I have some issues primarily the “fast” part as it sounds so weird in English like they needed to fit all the words in. But in Spanish it flows so nice and fits more with the music style.
Hello! Came over from a recommendation from the guys at Bowser’s pit. This is a great movie, the best Disney film of the modern animations. This song overpassed “Let it go” and I believe is #1 on billboard. “Bruno is a god” 😭😂😂😂
Tio Bruno can fortell the future, but it seems, that for him, it's easier to see "bad" things than the good, and the town (and family) tend to shoot the messenger, so Bruno disappeared. The only one who seems to have come out on the positive side of Bruno's visions is Isabella ( Since she's "perfect", it only figures).
Please react to all of the music and then watch it. You're my favorite reactor and the movie is fire 1. We Don't Talk About Bruno 2. The Family Madrigal 3. Surface Pressure 4. Waiting on a Miracle 4. What Else Can I Do Watch these last two after the movie because they'll spoil the end 5. Dos Origuitas 6. All of You

YES - It's all about Diversity & Disney's answer - Finally - to all the complaints about a massive lack thereof in previous Kids Flicks. Ie; Finally a 'Princess'! & many other characters that ALL little girls & boys can identify with. And their parents too. Animation - soundtrack - choreography - all top tier, every singer too. Brilliant. Engaging. Fun. But... should they get an Oscar for attending to Diversity, in 2021, when complaints about this lack have been around for Decades!? Or should it stand alone on it's own artistic merits? The huge volume of compliments about this kinda gets my hackles up - like my cat rubbed the wrong way! Think about when Sesame Street started being diversity reflective? From the very first minute in the very first S St. episode ; aired Nov 10th 1969, all the kids had every different skin colour. When asked why they replied; "Because that's what's just expected and normal!" Then the other school of thought is - 'encourage & reward' such efforts whenever they come. I dunno. 🤔 You tell me.
"I'm sorry mi vida go oooonnnn~~" is the most beautiful thing I have ever heard sung, I swear!
Try listening to the Spanish singer Raphael, big in the '60s and '70s. The "go oonnn" makes me think of his voice. Try "Balada de la trompeta" or "Yo soy aquel." You might like them!
i just love that part it's so romantic..I can't😩🥺😭
I knoooooow!!! It's such a perfect couple moment!!
I also loved when he said “oh what a joyous day” despite the hurricane
It's so sweet because it translates into *"my life"* if my Spanish memory is correct. I explained that to my girlfriend and she loved the song even more.
Don’t worry, this doesn’t spoil anything. You should check out Surface Pressure too.
Yeah I think imma watch it tonight if I do surface pressure it won the in the movie will it?

Lin Manuel Miranda wrote and directed it. He’s so damn good at what he does.
he directed? google says "Directors: Byron Howard, Jared Bush"?
He wrote the music, he didn't direct it. He did direct "Tick Tick Boom" though, but the music is written by the late Jonathan Larson.
He wrote the music, he didn’t direct it
He's not the director, but he was involved in the movie from the very beginning of its creation.
They are all Colombian. They are just different shade and shapes! You should definitely watch it!
The Family Madrigal gives a real background into the family. This whole movie is just one bop after another. Please watch it, you’ll enjoy it
I love the idea of Bruno being a deity as your first impression of him lol

You're writing about colombian history but you dont know how the name of the country is, iconic.
British were worst in North América.
It's animated and yet I'm like, "LOOK AT THAT CAMERA WORK!!!" I mean someone drew those expressions, those dance moves, all of it!!!!
A lot of people comment on how Camilo sounds during the line "Isabella, your boyfriend is here!".
