    After spraining many knuckles, the most effective way I found to place bearings into printed parts is to put both parts into a vice and slowly tightening.

      I would of course do that if I had a vice, but not many people like me has a vice.

    Nice to see others also struggling as hard as me when trying to install the LM8UU bearings :D
    Ended up installing them using a screw clamp I had lying around.
    Btw, installed the bearings on mine using a M5 nut and bolt, was a breeze to install except for the one on the end block.

      I used an Irwin Quick grip bar clamp

    when putting the little bearings in, I find pushing down with a sharpie is perfect and gives all around support.

      Technically you want the force to push at the part of the bearing where IT IS pushed into. If it is "stuck" in the outer diameter the force should be applied there. It's healthier for the bearing.

    David what are you using for color change waste? On the Bambu X1 Combo, we have what we call the poop chute.

    Hi, congratulations on the video, it would also be helpful on how to install it, however I'm also trying to build this 9 color one, the problem that stopped me for a moment was that I need to make a change to the extruder group where the hotend and I are having a Voron with the all metal group (aluminium) I don't know if it is possible to do without that modification or if there is any help on how to install it thanks

      The installation instructions are in the ERCF Github, there is a ERCF manual PDF for installation instructions

      That's a 80W soldering iron. I sometimes have trouble soldering large pads so I use a large one

      @@BradTN7 It's difficult to get it to work reliably, not something that you can start a print and walk away with, however for smaller MMU prints it is still much easier than manual swapping. The filament tip tuning is the key for sure.

      Stepperonline and LDO motors

    How much pla did it take to make all the parts?

    • @davidwang_3d
      @davidwang_3d  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      None. I use PETG, not PLA, and it used less than a spool of PETG per color.

      @@peterlaud8202 I hate statements like this 😂. I’m just starting looking into an MMU for a new printer, that I’ve got a long list of mods to perform. The biggest is the Mercury Mod (Ender 5 but I’ve got an Sovol SV05). After? During? That mod which essentially takes it to a CoreXY, I’d like to do this. So, that said, why, is Moons Motors better? The Voron is my next build. Given that, LDO is building a pretty good reputation. So, lol, again, describe please, why is Moons better?

  • @eclypse3d
    @eclypse3d ปีที่แล้ว

    Print quality of the parts is important, if they are not very good then the tolerances will be off and you can also have weak or non fitting parts, its important to tune your printer to standards. Lots of the parts in this video really should have been reprinted. Hopefully you have just enough good parts to not give you a headache later but...

      The problem is that these parts are optimized for ABS shrinkage, but I printed them with PETG
