Excellent little palomino! She's beautiful! I'm drooling. That buckskin is my second choice. Then, of course, paint or pintos! I was around quarters all my childhood! Good job, guys!
Good job-advice-when you want to stop -relax-let all your air out-in other words breath out-so the horse feels it and hears it-you can do this during ground work as well-the horse will learn to stop from you relaxing in the seat and your air out-which also develops into whoa and versions of it-soft and direct communication repeated wins the day for your horse!!
Absolutely perfect, you say your not professionals, however you sure are really good at what you do. I love the way you are so gentle, kind and respectful with all your animals, especially your horses. BTW 66 is one beautiful stallion 🐎🐎🐎
I'm just like the gentleman below, I remember watching Dolly on Porters show as well. Thank you for a family and faith oriented channel. Keep up the good work and God bless my friends.
Always do the general approach I understand it is makes a better transitions to the saddle and understanding what is expected from them. Thank you for being so kind with these horses
Here in the East, you Really Don't see that many buckskin or Palos.it makes me Cry to see the *Exclusivness STILL from growing up in the 70s of English over Western. Blake you are truly your Fathers Son.its so Great that you both share the Same Love. I WATCH Your Family and KNOW All can be Right in our World.thank you So much.kat,CT.
Wow, is so nice to see Blake being gentle but firm with her, so much nicer to see a horse willing to walk out than bucking. You guys are a pleasure to watch. Thanks for the great vids, always look forward to them. Blessings.
Dolly is a beauty and she is so gentle. I'm sure Blake will have no trouble getting her where she learns all of the things she is supposed to do. Alan, it was very interesting to learn why you keep some horses and sell others. Thanks for the explanation.
I admire what you are doing. I like the idea of taking good minded horse and giving them a better life!! And to Blake, the Dolly stuff cracked me up!! You did great on Dolly, Blake! Looks like you've got the touch! Enjoyed thank you! Dolly seems like a great little yellow Mare! Bet she's got some Skipper W back there.
My first pet was a horse. I road at 2 years. Was tied on to the saddle. A horse that is gentle broke, will be a better horse. You and your son are doing a great job. My family's place is on Rt66 in Oklahoma at Narsissa, between Afton and Miami. Up in the N.E. part of Ok.
Hi there, another great video. I may need a couple good head shots of Dolly later. She has nice moves and I'm thinking she may also be a keeper for you guys. Great job again guys. Enjoy testing the new things coming. Enjoy.
Lovely, just put it on Facebook. I haven't really started on Rudy yet. Got her back ground done was waiting for paint supplies to arrive. And need to get re-inspired. Without that it's useless.
Nice work out on those two mares there doing well have alot to learn hope they are good don't do any or light buckiñg . Thanks for sharing. A good day to all at your family at the farm. 🐎
Dolly Parton sang on The Porter Wagoner Show in the 60's. My Dad watched that show all the time so I already knew who Dolly was before she got famous. You might like to look that up to see her when she was really young.
Could hardly wait to finish an appt so could see your new video. AND you delivered along with hopefully an OOPS after Blake heard a song or even saw Dolly Parton later in evening. Yep she’s not one to forget even if “old” 😅😂🤣. Loved hearing your stories about the horses and watching you and Blake working together to give the mare a good experience under saddle. Seen too many people who claimed to be trainers make the experience a negative one. Slams a bit in their tender mouth and then works with them as if horse is going to a rodeo. As for riding a mare in foal it’s obvious you know when not too and she’ll definitely let you know as well. Too bad she still has some learning while in foal as we always rode after foal was here and let the foal just follow freely. Best times and also like the ending of video seeing horses stirring up the dust just playing around. Well you definitely stir up some amazing memories for me like the bay mare going through obstacle course like she has no fear. That kind of horse will be a long time friend to someone who loves trail riding. We use to go on 100+ mile DeAnza trail ride and drive some cattle every year most of the time on horses we were training for endurance competitions. Don’t know why or how I found your family but believe your videos are meant to be. Ya sure have stirred up old memories and am loving every moment. I certainly am going back to your earlier videos and enjoying all the new ones too. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
My brother was a casualty of Iraq. On the way to his funeral, Dollys song "I Will Always Love You" came on the radio. Yah, the original BY Dolly. Weird cause that was my brothers favorite song. The one by Dolly, not Whitney.
Riding is good for pregnant mares. They will have a easier delivery if they are exercised rather then allowed to get too fat. Dolly is doing great, keep up all the good work 👍🏼. Can’t wait to see that foal.
Dolly is amazing so is Blake.
I love those big paints that you got off reservation a short time back there big like some very beautiful horses.
Excellent little palomino! She's beautiful! I'm drooling. That buckskin is my second choice. Then, of course, paint or pintos! I was around quarters all my childhood! Good job, guys!
I have ridden my mares when in foal up to foaling day.. keeping them active makes easy foaling. No hard riding last month of pregnancy. I am 71 now.
AWESOME!
I have my mares too. I even showed my one mare two weeks before foaling and two weeks after.
I do the same and I was crucified. Thank you. And even showed after the foal was born.
Her first ride? Wow! She’s beautiful! Thank you for saving all these wonderful horses! Love your videos! ❤
Each video gets better and better! So interesting
Glad you think so!
You guys are all so sweet & kind! I love how you are with your horses......I love watching these videos! Thankyou all!
Thank you

You are correct, a singular horse is a colt or a filly, but more than one horse are called colts.
Blake, you need to take a vacation to Gallatin, TN and see what she has done for TN.
