I am clearly behind in finding your channel and watching your videos, but I came to the comments and said a similar thing, though admittedly not as eloquently! I couldn't agree more with Candace. 99.5% of your subscribers are here to watch, enjoy, learn from & support you. I would get rid of the ones who are willing to make such rude, negative comments and keep listening to those of us who have grow to love your family and of course the animals.
Allen and Blake, ya'll are wonderful with horses. I live my life for horses. I've trained a few and still have my 32 year old first ever horse. Thank you for sharing and god bless yall from Louisiana.
This is AMAZING!! He had little trust of humans and in a short while he learned to trust. Trust is a gift. You can learn a lot about a person who trained a horse. Quoted by my grandfather. Also, people who criticize have too much time on their hands.😄 Keep doing what you're doing!!🐎
Blake has a perfect temperament, patience, and magic touch that many horse trainers only dream of. Skunk will make someone a really good horse in the future
Again, watching this story a year late---but really glad you gave this little horse another chance at life. Animals are intelligent and sensitive---and they will respond to what is shown them. You obviously showed him patience, care, and positive attention, and it changed his whole life.
Blake has such a good heart and I can tell how talented he is because he has soft hands when he handles the horses. I really appreciate that you never see him with spurs and putting harsh bits on the horses. It’s nice to see skunk clacking and blowing showing his submission. I come from a horse family and I really enjoy watching the enthusiasm as y’all look at your equine and decide how you purchase, train & sell them, it’s really a great channel. Blessing🤠
When people take the time to train a 10 year old unbroke horse, they have just improved the chance of that horse to start in on a much better life. I love what you have done with this horse. The videos of him are my favorite.
I just started watching your channel. I just love watching Blake with these horses. He has great energy and the horses trust him. He takes his time with them and he is so gentle with the horses. I grew up riding horses so these videos bring back a lot of memories for me. Thank you for saving these horses and finding them good homes.
I can definitely see that Blake is going to have a great career ahead of him. He knows when to be gentle with them and then when he needs to demand more of them.
Wow. What a week of ground work has done. Impressive! When you were washing him, he was like, “Ahhhhh. That feels good!” I’m sure the cool water did feel good. Good job everyone. Skunk is a cute pony, and learning fast. Spoiled horses are hard to handle, but learn trust when they have a good leader. ❤❤❤
I think your Farm is BEAUTIFUL! I know what "In Progress" is. Anyone would be blessed to have such a wonderful Ranch. GOD Bless you and your Family... ❤️
Your family is so great with horses. I loved this video. I just realized how old it is. But I'm new to the channel so I will be watching old and new videos. Lol
Poor old skunk I feel sorry for him now with the surgery and blood he looked a little thinner to me anyway but man he is doing alot better with training . I wanted to comment about the person that was so rude to make comments about the farm I wouldn't listen to those dead heads they have probably never set foot on a farm before and they live in their little princess castle made of glass it no ones business how or what they do with their property and everyone isnt rich to have all those multi million sheds and equipment barns .
First, I think Skunk will make someone a Great little ride.. Second, I think your farm looks like a working farm.. Thank you for the videos.. Much appreciated!!
Ty for not giving up on Skunk. It is because of you he has a shot of a forever home. Would like to see your projects, whether they are horse projects or farm projects. Just really enjoy your videos.
Great job, Blake. Think it wasn't such a bad idea to buy this little horse. Still think he deserves a better name to live up to. How about Checker, because his black and white look checkered and because evidently he has had a somewhat chequered past.😄
Alan and Blake I love the way that you and Alan work him in the round pen,He has come a long way since he arrived on the farm and three days ago he was gelded.Awesome job training him
I think his love for horses the, horse can sense a good person glad I found your channel, know nothing about horses, but love the kindness you’ll show your horses.
Can really see how much work Alan did with him. Even Blake gave Dad some props. Skunk has come a long way. Great job! He's an interesting horse for sure.
Wow, your new "project" is doing so much better, much faster than I ever thought possible. The name Skunk might have fit him well in the beginning, but I agree with some commenters that it doesn't seem to fit him now. Hopefully the new owner will choose to call him something different. His coloring reminds me of an ice cream swirl flavor, like "Cookies and Cream." Alas, I can't take him, but if it were up to me, I'd probably call him, "Cookies" or "Ice Cream" or "Cream Dream" or maybe just "Dream." LOL -- In any event, I'm so happy for Skunk that first, he has you folks to work with him, and second, that he was quick to change his attitude and be more agreeable. Sure, gelding helped, but he showed signs of a good attitude before his operation. This is an uplifting story, thanks for sharing this!
Amazing job. The difference is night and day. Trust does something to man and beast, learning it is hard if you have been hurt, but so worth it with animals. The audacity of someone to say your farm looks bad, wow. That says they are either rich, spoiled or have never been on a farm. It is always a work in progress, and you don't go throwing away things that still have use as other things. Not on a farm or ranch. Or some peoples homes, just depends, but wire, wood, metal. It is not like you have trash or garbage. Wow, that was so rude, my hair about stood on end I was so shocked. Keep doing the great work, this is extremely knowledgable, entertaining, and just plain enjoyable.
I like your videos I think they are a great source of information. for those who have or want horses with little background as to how to work with them
Hi Blake. I really enjoy watching you work with the animals on your farm!! :) :) :) Your Dad and you really care about working with the horses!! Your whole family is really nice and you guys are making sweet memories that will be with you all your lives!! Good job filming everything!! :) :)
Blake and Skunk did a great job!!! And I am sure that Alan did a good bit with how great Skunk is doing!!! I never thought that Skunk would progress this far, this quick !!! Amazing!!! CONGRATS Guys !!!

WOW, great job guys! Your farm is a work in progress, nothing wrong with the way it looks. Thank you for sharing! Hugs and love to you and your family. ❤️✝🤗 Have a beautiful and blessed week. God Bless ❤️✝🤗

🤔🤔 I just got back from the tower where Doctor is at looking down all across the land. Saw your video and thought about those people in their own gilded tower with no dirt under fingernails or up in their nose passing judgment on us who have to work a job raise a family and care for many animals AND may have stuff everywhere waiting for time to complete projects or just get some order on the farm. Whew that was long.....Invite them to come over with a rake shovel or a broom and just give a hand. Then thank them and slam the door on their behind then sit and relax for a bit. They won’t be back but they WILL keep giving everyone crap cus just mean spirited. There sure have been more and more of those kind of folks last few years and they’re all bullies. Your army of followers DEFINITELY have your back and you are really growing. Just keep it up and we’ll help you sweep them all out the door. 👍👍👍👍. What a team you both are together. Dad tests the horses to see what he’s got the team into and son polishes them up so the price can go up when horse is sold. I love how you each pat one another on the back and do a lot of joking too. And though Skunk is still healing he’s having a good experience learning that humans aren’t that mean after all. It’s a give and take and it comes with a reward at the end like an aaahhh feeling of cool water on his healing parts. He may have never had such a good life but he’s learning and old habits won’t return. Hope ya keep him a little longer and polish him up some more so when ya sell him he will be the horse he was meant to be and be a good ride from the very beginning for new owner. He’s really a very smart horse with a good eye and very alert and now has a chance to be even better. As a team and a family with love and so much soul for your land and all your animals ......you DEFINITELY have captured my heart. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

Allen, I personally thought you were going fast with him but look at the progress. The horse is smart and you and Blake did great by him and the other horses you work with
It was so wonderful to see Skunk. I really love this horse. I used to ride & have owned two horses, but I can't ride anymore because of a broken back or I would buy him. I will be sad when he is sold, but I know you will make sure he goes to a good home & he will get a lot of love. He has come a long way from when you bought him.
