Hi Alan and family, I am a retired farmer in New Zealand, and I am enjoying your videos immensely. We had 6 working horses on the farm, ,2,500 acres plus another 1,000 acres of rain forest. We ran sheep and young bulls, on country in the foothills of a mountain range, so had some steep terrain. Used horses rather than motorcycles.
The Martin Horse farm has some beautiful horses. Especially the Palomentos. The one that is 22 years old and he was huge on the backside.
They have got some really nice horses they are nice very well taken care of that's a good buy
I can see why the blue roans sell so quickly -- they're absolutely gorgeous. But the two Palominos are so handsome. Thank you, Alan, for taking us on this trip. Very informative and entertaining. Always love your commentary. You're very articulate and a joy to listen to.
P.S. I am fairly new to your channel so I am going way back to watch your videos.

Thanks for the trip to the Martins in Colorado. Ive spent lots of time in that state in the past. Fond memories. My dad buried a time bottle in Estes Park back in the 1930s, and we’ve gone back to dig it up and add something occasionally. Fun. Beautiful country. Love the two new palominos. I want one of the black ones.

Forgot to add that my wife and I spent many happy times in Arizona, mainly in Tucson and Apache Junction.. Visited Flagstaff a few times, and always went to Walnut Canyon.

Depending on what your plans are for your colt that you decide to keep, the colt with the rounded hip will be more cowy and stocky and the other will be taller and has the confirmation for speed if that helps any

The Farm on Route 66 ~ thanks. I have over 40 experience filled years of gentling, breaking, training and retraining, and owning all kinds of horses. I owned a Navajo nation paint a few years back, traced her brand to find out where she came from and that her breeder's name was Charlie Brown (not from the comic strip) lol. I really enjoy your channel. Keep up the good work with theses beauties.

I really enjoyed being along on your drive to the Martin farm. Reminded me of my vacations out in Colorado and the beautiful country. The Durango area was the one area of Colorado I didn't get to visit. I also enjoyed looking at those beautiful horses!

I would love one of those Colts. I love horses of most any breed but I'm partial to quarter horses with good bloodlines. Are you gelding them? What price range are you talking about? Please let me know. I would love a filly. So should you breed one of them I would be interested also. I have two paint QH and they have APHA papers. One I bought as a long year-long and helped to train him. He's now 20 years old this year. I have a tendency of making them part of the family.
No we are not gilding them they are 2500 for the one we are selling

Martins QHs have some beautiful horses there that you showed us!!!! I have Cleveland Bays - so still chunky horses but different clearly. I can still appreciate a darn nice horse though when I see it. Australia has some lovely QHs here too - it's a shame that some are going away from the useful types though. Give me a good solid working type horse any day no matter the breed. :D

I live in Nashville TN and I had no idea it got that cold in the southwest. Duuuuhh!!! I though it stayed fairly warm. Maybe 40°would be the coldest. It gets colder there in the winter than it does here. It's beautiful country though!! They have some nice foundation quarter horses. Those are the types that will hold up. Good boned and great minds. They got good working stock confirmations. I like those types of horses.

@@TheFarmonRoute66 I live on 1/2 lot in a subdivision in Georgia. So I can have a horse. I did rent 7 goats and 2 sheep to clear part of my lot this fall. I had them for a week. But I have to be content with my 2 rescue cats. They have me trained. The older one (11 yo) think my role is to have him on my lap and get him food and treats. He has been teaching the under cat what kind of tricks to do what she wants. 🥴 Your farm has a lot of beautiful animals and I enjoy watching your videos!

Wife just started her horse fund after showing her some horses over the past few months she wants to ride again. I told her to save up at least 3 grand if she wants to get the one she wants lol.

I was in gallop new Mexico in 1963 45 below zero I was 18 coldest I'd ever been coldest shut the highway down stuck in the motel there till somebody in a better car came and got us that's what the officer said the temp was. any way you could spit And it would freeze lol fun memory going to Oklahoma to a small town by Garber and Enid Oklahoma lots of snakes there population of 200 at that time
