Thanks. It scared the heck out of me, but fortunately I didn't get hit by the bow or my own fist. lol. I've had a D-loop break before that resulted in me punching myself in the mouth.

Nice deer! I keep telling myself I should hunt with my recurve, but I haven't shot that many with my compound yet so I want to get more animals under my belt with that first. If I get a nice buck with the compound I'll probably take the recurve out.

No, but I did text her and let her know that I could hear them. We both got a good laugh out of it. As far as the food plot, I'm going to get some seed this weekend and just watch the forecast. As soon as there is a significant chance of rain, I will broadcast and hope for the best!

I’ve been hunting with a crossbow since Georgia legalized them in 2010 and every time I cock it I cringe anticipating a limb break like you had. Bet that woke you up real quick. 😱Glad you weren’t injured.
