As a plumber, a lot of my coworkers use this version here, and it works really well for just about everything a plumber would need. I do have 1 coworker who has the M18 Fuel version, and it's a little clunkier, but cuts way faster, and has a pivoting shoe so you can use more of your blade. I personally prefer the Fuel version, but they are both great for the trade.

One of my first tool inheritances from my late grandpa was the Sawzitt. A vintage Sawzall with its original metal case soon found it's way into my arsenal. Last month, I picked up a Super Sawzall as my first modern purchase. Holy reciprocating saws, Batman!!

Electricians use them all the time for pipe, especially in trenches where you are in tight quarters and often times cutting at awkward angles.

Recently, I bought the FUEL version Hackzall. It's a beauty. Having nerve problems in my left arm, it's nice to not have to reach for the big Super Sawzall every time I need to slice up something. It would be nice if it had an adjustable shoe, though.

I have the M18 Fuel in both of these saws. It's like having a little driver drill and a hammer drill. The hammer drill will drive screws too but you can't get into tight locations.
I love the sound effects in the video. That's too funny.

I have the fuel version of that hacksaw, and use it on a daily basis, for cutting pvc pipe for underground conduit work in the trenches, its lighter and easier to maneuver in tight areas than a standard reciprocating saw!! Love it!!

I use this exact model every day. I don’t have a job or task that would require a traditional recip saw. I use it for plywood that’s in the way of me running my water lines so small quick cuts up on a ladder. Very handy and well worth the money

We have the M18 Fuel Hackzall at work and it is pretty big for what it is. We still use the hell out of it, a lot more than our M18 Fuel Sawzall. The big thing I noticed with the Fuel Hackzall is how smooth it is, with little to no vibration...I personally bought a Dewalt 20v Max XR recip saw (DCS367B) and that thing shakes the living sh*t out of you! I love the size of it, but the vibration is insane, especially when compared with the M18 Fuel Hackzall.

The m12 has a shorter stroke and it's meant for much smaller things, we use it when doing small plumbing jobs or what not. The 18v fuel I got to replace the brushed, as the vibration was killing me, and the added power was substantial in my opinion. We constantly use it for pruning jobs and tougher wprk. We only bring out the fuel saw all w gen doing larger demo work. All have their purpose. The smaller stroke on the fuel is nice, kind of use it in replacement of a hacksaw type of things

I've had mine for about 5 or 6 years and I use it for everything. I have the corded and cordless super sawzalls and almost never use them. I know it's not intended for the abuse I put on it, but it's so light and easy to handle that I just can't help myself.

Hello,. I have been using the Fuel 12V version for a few years. It's a money maker and I have broken twice. The Milwaukee rep warranted my tool and it continues to make me money. Just a thought. Please look at the 18V German Metabo version. It's more presses and is designed to be used from the bottom of the material and cut from the underside. Love the Metabo version, it's smooth, more presses, and a nice fit to the hand.

Bathroom and kitchen fire damage or water damage repairs. Makita fits in tighter places and is easier to use than a big Milwaukee Sawzall. I use M18 Fuel Hackzall more than M18 Fuel Sawzall. M18 Fuel Hackzall for pipe, metal, tree limbs, toilet bolts (multitool safer), demo, fencing, redwood decks. M18 Fuel Hackzall may be my most used tool for crawling around under a house sewer repairs the list goes on. Excels for one handed work on ladders. Best general cutting tool for any homeowner or tradesman.

I have the m12 fuel hackzall, m18 fuel hackzall, and the m18 fuel sawzall. Hard to recommend one over the other because they each can preform specific tasks more effectively.
The “hackzall” is more for things you would use a hack saw for. Cutting pvc, conduit, or gas pipe. M12 hackzall is my go too when crawling under houses or lots of over head use. M18 is what I use for more stationary work. Keep on the back of the truck for cutting 3” pvc or 1 1/4” gas pipe. The m18 sawzall really is pretty good at doing all those things. But best at more demo work. Notching walls and cutting holes is sheeting.
All three are great tools. Always buy fuel for contracted grade tools in my opinion. All the non fuel is more home owner stuff. I see guys go for the cheaper stuff and they where out much quicker.
