    Finally got my tree branches cut using my new saw th-cam.com/users/postUgkx84IcU5pbZd1Qrz8u4-YRLmJax7kdRi7B , and it was effortless. Then tackled taking pallets apart by just cutting through the nails. Zip Zip, like butter, took no time at all! Absolutely love that you just push a button to change the blade, so quick and easy. I chose cordless because of all the outside projects I need to do, and most are too far to extend an extension cord to. Incredibly lightweight, and easy to handle. I will be using this all the time. There is a reason they call them Sawzalls , because they literally saw all the things you need cut. Once you buy one you'll kick yourself for not doing it sooner ~ Just make sure and buy the right blades for the job you want to tackle. The blades are not expensive, and there are lots of various multi-packs available.

    Want to know how bloody tough this tool is? I bought it and 2 days later watched as it fell (accidentally) from the top of my building and onto the concrete driveway (39'')! I made my way down to the driveway fearing, expecting the worst. I was shocked to see the battery still attached and the tool in one piece! I picked it up and noted the abrasions on the tool and pulled the trigger. Worked perfectly!!! I was a fan of Milwaukee M18 Fuel and non Fuel tools but now I am an apostle! Good on ya Milwaukee!

    Since I got my dad a M18 drill set already, I'm looking into this for his first saw. In the states, this is Model # 2719-20, selling for $160 local/ $105 online; bare tool. Since I had large Dewalt batteries, I went with their brushless sawzall and have used it for the same things you showed us in the video. I like that this Milwaukee is compact and can be stored in shorter tool bags. It seems to do everything my saw does, plus some, and even has a light. Thank you for the video.

    I have one of these and it's awesome to say the least. You'll use it more than the sawzall for most things because you can use it one handed. Lot of times you need to hold what you're cutting like PVC etc. Just get one you won't regret it. I would like to get the super sawzall one day but would probably barely use it. I got a corded one I used only a few times

      I have the m12. He making wan to get the m18

    • @skankytrick
      @skankytrick 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@PhillyWiz I agree. The size and shape of the m12 is nearly the same as the m18, so there's really no benefit to the m12, unless you use the 2ah battery, in which case you get a minor benefit, even though the bulky body is all the same and the tiny battery will not last long. The m18 only costs a few dollars more, accepts a more powerful battery, has a more robust motor, has a pivotable guide, and is almost the same size. I have always questioned my decision to go with the m12 version when the m18 had cost only a few dollars more and is the same form factor and virtually the same size. I may just but the m18 version also. Having said that, the m12 has never let me down whatsoever. Perhaps a more powerful m18 version would cut faster, I imagine.

    Thank you for this. I am in the market for some new power tools having lost a bunch of Makita tools in a fire. Milwaukee are being pushed at the moment by the tool stores but it seems to be decent kit.
    I enjoyed my Makita recip (DJR187): it was a powerful beast, too powerful almost and needed two hands. I saw the Hackzall on Screwfix and was not sure about it, whereas the Sawzall I understood as the Makita is a very similar product. Your film has answered a lot of questions.

    The Hackzall is a great tool. It has a straight in and out cut which makes starting your cut on any rounded surface, pipes. The sawzall has an orbital cutting stroke making it a more aggressive cut. Sawzall can cut faster because of the orbital stroke. Both have their advantages, but most jobs can be handled by the hackzall

    For trees, minutes with the hacksaw, seconds with a chain saw plus more expensive using those recip blades vs chain in the long run. For brute power, super sawzall or the old tiger recip saw. I do have couple if the M12 hack saws, love it for little stuff. Don't need the M18 hack saw, already have three recip saws. Try the Milwaukee pole saw for trees, pretty cool and fast cutting up to around 7" dia branches.

    What bsttery were you using--the XC5.0? I think the Fuel Hackzall is one if the tools that work stronger ehen ewuipped with one of Milwaukee's High Ouput batteries: the CP3.0 High Output, XÇ6.0 High Output, XC8.0 High Output, and HD12.0 High-Output. These batteries use larger cells because they were designed to deliver torque.

    I work as a construction plumber and often have to cut 6, 4 and 2 inch pvc pipes and need one hand free to hold the pipes steady. This is why I'll be buying the hackzall instead of the sawzall. The sawzall would be too cumbersome for making the smaller cuts.

    The hackzall is superior in every way to the Sawzall as far as I can figure.
    Great for getting into tight spaces and using with one hand (as opposed to a sawsall which requires 2 hands).
    I use mine for cutting ABS drain pipes a lot and there are places I've made cuts with my hackzall that you could never have gotten into with a sawzall. And yes, I've used it for cutting trees as well!!

    I love my Milwaukee model 6521-21 Orbital Super Sawzall. I got it around 15 years ago, and in spite of it being my main reciprocating saw to use on the jobsite daily, I've not had a single problem with it. That said when I have to cut some shit around the house, I usually bring out my DeWalt, or my old 18 v cordless Ryobi instead. I just prefer saving my Milwaukee for heavy duty jobsite use.
    I recently bought that same Milwaukee blade kit you did, except the blade storage that came with mine doesn't extend to accommodate 12" blades like yours does.
    Anyway I gave you a thumbs up for this review, so you better thank me profusely, or I'll not only take my like back , I'll replace it with a thumbs down.
