Can you please do a review of these switches against the JWK WOB (rainy75 pro)? I found out my board only supports 3 pin so I'm trying to find something comparable. These sound promising but i really wanna hear a true comparison with your audio setup

I want to upgrade or try a new mechanical but my Logitech G510s beast won't die. I've tried to kill it when rage quitting on a Halo Infinite game, but, even dashing it with my fist didn't hurt it. It's a great keyboard and all, but it's too big now, because my desk has a smaller slide out keyboard /mouse tray. Any recommendations? I could try to shoot it. But, don't want to waste ammo lol

Two years later, I'm new mac user here wanting to use my usual Windows keyboard strokes....Apple switched everything up in Sequoia and I can't find "Modifier Keys"....why oh why do software developers take stuff away all the time to supposedly "improve things"....have no idea where those "modifier keys" are located...

Appreciate your video! What are the loudest switches in your opinion? I got a Keychron Q5 with blue switches mostly as a spite keyboard... I got a realy clicky coworker and I want to blow her out of the water with how annoying my keyboard is. Could you please let me know what the loudest switch that I can get? Thank you in advance

Not all RK keyboards are hotswappable for sure. One of the first mechanical keyboards I bought was the RK987 in 2021... not hotswap to my disappointment today

I've been using them for over a year and I love them.

Media control keys are different so if you hit them accidentally - you can tell immediately

Is this seriously another software fumble that doesn’t have individually assignable RGB per layer? All I want is to have my layer mapped keys light up so its easier to remember and use.

What do you think about the stabilizers? It's often a weak point in what's otherwise a great keyboard.

Just do one switch test at a time. All your strokes sound mixed up.

Putting this keyboard on top of the Mac is really dumb.

Awesome review - I put this keyboard in my cart before I saw your review and I must say the color scheme is exactly what I've been looking for. I bought the JLAB keyboard from Best Buy which matches my macbook but once again....that color scheme is exactly what I've been looking for...especially since I'm Georgia Bulldogs and Falcons fan as well. So I think I'm going to pull the trigger and try it out! #GoDawgs

I am absolutely confounded by how much lubing changes the sound and feel of these switches. The leaf ping WAS still present until I tried experimenting and found out I could use dielectric grease at the rear of the contact leaf to eliminate the noise.

since u haven't made a top mechanical keyboards list in a while i want to ask what mechanical keyboard are u recommending for up to 80 dollars max, im looking for a keyboard that lasts (made from decent material) and is good for gaming and looks good

halo65 HE is definitely gonna change the magnetic keyboard game. 100 bucks for jade pros is crazy value. The software is insane as well. I love nuphy

I’m just sick of grifting / paid promo reviews, and I’m 2 hours into this topic now as I’m due an upgrade. One week it’s “this is the best…thanks for sending me it” next week “oh this is the best…”, like I’ve used 3 keyboards in 12 years, I just don’t trust people who can make tier lists of 80 different keyboards. (Not for the OP) Yes I’m jaded already 😂

I reely like them on space bars. Still, it's a really low cost solution to change the sound and feel of a keyboard!

I have a RK ROYAL KLUDGE M75 and it is the nicest keyboard I've ever typed on. The Pale Green Switches are insane but unfortunately RK doesn't sell their switches separately.

What switch do you have on it? I’m torn between clear top or mint

I actually like the branding here. The accents and colors gave me Mech vibes, which is part of why I like this keyboard

I tried using the windows search feature to open the snip tool: (windows key + "snip" + enter key), however the enter key doesnt seem to want to register. Any thoughts or recommendations from anyone with similar issues? (On layer 2 for Windows features). Thanks

(25:00) What's EEPROM? ROM = Read Only Memory: Chips with fixed information that came that way from the factory. PROM = Programmable ROM: These were chips that you could program once with anything you want, usually by burning wires at 12-20volts but reading at 5v EPROM = Erasable Programmable ROM: Like PROM, but if you shine a UV light at them for a few minutes, they reset, and you can program them again. Usually there's a sticker over the window so you don't accidentally erase it by going out in the sun. EEPROM = Electrically Erasable Programmable Read Only Memory: Chips with a way of erasing the ROM without using UV light. Yay for acronyms. Flash = A fancy word for EEPROM. Usually with these chips it's possible to erase and/or blocks of memory at the same time making them faster. RAM = Random Access Memory. DRAM = Dynamic RAM, which have a capacitor that holds a charge for each bit of memory for a second or so. DRAM needs a controller that goes through and reads/rewrites all the memory so it's not lost. SRAM = Static RAM uses a bunch of transistors making a latch to hold each bit of information. SRAM is simpler & faster, but takes up more space on your chip, so it's more expensive. In most phones/computers, your main memory is DRAM but your chip's cache memory is SRAM. All types of RAM lose the info when the power's disconnected, whereas all types of flash & ROM keep the information without power. Microcontrollers like the Atmel one in this keyboard, often have flash memory for the program contents but a few bytes of EEPROM that can store small amounts of information such as which mode is active (a few bytes up to 1k or so). It's hard to reprogram the flash using code because the software you're running is being changed as you program it and you have to erase large blocks of code at a time, but the EEPROM doesn't have any code that executes, so you can store a few bits of info on it. Stuff like pairing keys on your bluetooth keyboard would probably go in EEPROM.
