most valuable explanation! Thanks
Thanks, gonna order one right now
ive been rocking my orignial mx master for going on 5? years now. cant remember exactly when i got it but ive put it through the ringer over the years. most durable, well built mouse ive ever owned, a very stark contrast to my other logitech mice (4 logi mice. 4 broken logi mice)
currently planning on grabbing the 3s because of the silent switches being nice while taking notes in class, being in libraries doing work. it feels like the polite thing to do.
my biggest complaint about the mouse which holds true with the 2,2s, 3,3s is that the mouse weighs waaaaay too much, i wouldnt use it for gaming but man does a lightweight mouse feel better during prolonged use, as well as just feels way more precise, all the mx master models feel like im using a brick instead of a mouse.
my second biggest complaint is the polling rate. like i said its not a mouse id ever use for gaming, i dont need 8k hz polling rate. but the bluetooth limited polling rate just feels so clunky and cumbersome in any software especially in SolidWorks, Inventor, Fusion360 ect. this also compounds with the weight issue making it feel even more sluggish.
however its biggest redeeming qualities that ultimately make this the mouse i stick with are its superior ergonomics, super easy connectivity, the battery lasts literal weeks (probably one of the most important features), and how much useful customization is has, Horizontal scroll is a must for me. the free scroll is a bit overrated in practicality but ive grown to like having unrestricted scroll rather than tactile bumps, and the 3 main side buttons are positioned very well.
personally i would love to see 2 more macro buttons placed along the left click button similar to the old Logitech g502, if the mouse could dump an additional 30-50 grams and maybe include a spot to house a 2.4ghz dongle i dont think there would be a more perfect mouse
Hi, I'm really looking forward to using Luminar Neo. I'm currently using the basic wired mouse that accompanied my Acer desktop. Have a joyous holiday season.
You too!
Really good video quality 👌👌
Thank you! Trying! :D
Great video! May I know what camera & lens you use?
Thanks a lot! I use a Sony a6400 with the Sony 18-105m f4 for the B-roll shots and a 16mm Sigma f1.4 for A-roll.
@@MarioDuch Thanks for your reply, appreciate it! And I honestly think your channel has way less subs it deserves..
I love this mouse. I got the Mac version. My only issue was that scrolling web pages was a bit choppy. BUT, downloading the MOS app was a game changer. It scrolls smooth like a trackpad now!
Did the same thing!
thanks for sharing this. just downloaded now and loving it.
Mos app is not safe to open according to Apple.
@@lmuzquizI bypassed the prompt message by opening it via finder. But if you’re worried, you don’t need to use it. But it works well for me.
I’m changing from G502 Lightspeed to this.
The G502 was too loud and the wheel started to glitch after years of use.
Got one for Christmas today. Best gift I ever got. Feels so premium. A must have! And yes, the "smooth scroll", when enabled, does change the scrolling behavior, and I'm so glad I can now read texts in small boxes without sudden steps. I wouldn't want any other mouse.
I just bought a M2 MacBook Air 15" (like an hour ago) and came across this mouse as a recommended accessory. After watching this review, I can't wait to pick one up and use it with the laptop. Looks killer!
Yep, definitely a great choice!
I usually dont buy productivity mouse (all my mice and keyboards are for gaming) but the 3S' productivity focus, long battery life and the fact that it's wireless sold me as a daily driver for web browsing/work mouse. Only negative is the hump is a little too high and my hands are not small.
I have mild carpal tunnel and I’m not a fan of vertical mice. Been using a trackball, but I’d also like an ergonomical normie mouse. Is this it?
It's definitely worth a shot. If it doesn't suit you, you can always return it!
This mouse solved my wrist pain issues! Loving it and my wrist is feeling great!
Does the Mac version of this mouse work with the LogiBolt even though it doesn't come with it?
Yes it does.
What about the input monitoring access from the logi options ?
What do you mean exactly?
How do you spit your finder to be able to see different tabs at the same time ?
Do you mean mission control? Or could you give me a timestamp from the video?
I have mine connected to 3 PCs via bluetooth - a desktop (WIN 11) and two laptops (WIN 10) with no issues so maybe a OSX issue?
It's apparently, just an issue with the M1 MacBooks
high quality video!
Thank you!
loved video suscribed.
Much appreciated! Thank you mate!
Does the weight bother you? I am used to sub 60g mouse?
No it doesn't. But that's probably because I was used to the g502 before.
I don't have any issues with blue tooth connection on windows laptop
Thanks for the info!
So which one should I get for M1 MacBook Air, USB dongle or bluetooth one? anyone with a helpful review?
Every one of them is Bluetooth. But only the non-mac version comes with a dongle.
@@MarioDuch Thank you for your reply. Will try it out, although I read about lagging with the M1 chip :)
I love this mouse so much. SUCH a huge upgrade from my last one
Same! The extra functions added so much!
Is there a version with a thunderbolt Bluetooth connector?
no there is not
Not a huge fan of g Hub overall, but the per app configuration is pretty epic.
i hope you will eb 10k and 100k soon i believe you vill vith these videos. you are better than any other youtubers who not making good videos or topics.
Will never give up. Always be playing the game! Thank you!
love mine, might get second one
How long did your first one last you?
13 months and counting. i treat mine like shit, the bottom pads got wacked + the side coating doesnt stick thatwell. BUT the mouse is amazing, still works, across all paired machines. I used it EVERY DAY. Will try the black color next. @@MarioDuch
@@CaringCommentator Great to hear that mate! Which colour do you have now? White?
well white is what its supposed to be :P, (its usually the color of the latest nachos flavour).. jokes aside, i find it needs to be wiped with a sponge every two weeks or so..
i would love if they came out with a funky color though, like neon green
black might save me the cleanings though@@MarioDuch
@@CaringCommentator Yep! Black does the trick
Logitech should really release MX Master 4 - it's the time for that.
What would you like to see in the next gen?
A non-s mx keyboard and mouse with support for usb bolt receivers would be very welcome given the well- documented security issues with the usb unifying receiver
Better polling rate, so I can use it for some games, but the other downside is its weight It is too heavy for serious games tho @@MarioDuch
@@abedin1 I get where you're coming from! With those upgrades, it would be the ultimate mouse for any purpose!
@@MarioDuch on the MX 4 I would love to see a better surface coating. I have my MX 3 for around 3 years now (using it all day long for work) and the surface slowly starts falling apart and looking ugly. This rubber coating is really bad. A higher polling rate would be also appreciated and a place to put the USB dongle into.
The lag issue you're experiencing is not normal. I've used every version of the MX Master series of mice with Mac and currently using the 3s on a M1/M2 Mac, without any issue at all. It's connected with bluetooth but I never see any lag of any kind.
Interesting! Thanks for that, I will try to get a replacement
I can confirm that too, just bought the MX3s this week and I also dont have any issue on Mac M2 chip. Maybe there is an update or something from Logitech, but I was heard the issue but only happened on M1 chip.
Wouldn't use it for gaming but for long working periods it's great for me.
Good choice
i misses some more programmable buttons
You can setup custom profiles for each app if you want, but if you really need more try looking into a gaming mouse like the Razer Naga
I don't think "s" means silent because the master 2s does not have silent keys...
That's what google told me
Would love to see a reduction in weight
That's a good point, maybe the next gen will be a bit lighter! Also going to include that in the next mouse video, totally forgot to do it here, sorry!
I have been struggling with mouses/mice that have horrendous lag when coming out of (battery save) snooze, very sloppy cursor movements and horrible battery consumption, for years. I recently returned a supposedly high quality mouse to Currys that had yet another scroll wheel failure and took the plunge to parting with my hard earned to buy this mouse. I could not be happier, except that I did not buy one three years ago. There is NO LAG, there are no battery issues to worry about, the cursor movement is silky smooth, I can use it on ANY surface and it has so many programmable button options I cannot find a use for them all. I love it.
Mouse is good , But it won’t last.
will update you when it breaks
@@MarioDuch I was telling my experience. Left button stopped working after 1 year.
I have my MX 3 for around 3 years now and the rubber coating starts to really looking ugly and slowly dissolving.
DON'T BUY THIS. The mouse broke after a year, the right mouse button stopped working. Logitech does NOT want to repair the expensive mouse, so the service center claims that it was flooded
Thats just you tho
I’ve had mine for 2 years and it works just fine
He is on a mission posting the same thing on every video about this mouse. Chill dude.
There is always a comment like that for every product so if we have to say something, that's :" Don't listen everybody"
I’ve had my MX Master 3 since it came out & it’s still great, sucks that urs broke tho
"Most of you who are buying this are going to be using this for editing videos"
TH-camrs are completely detached from reality.
To be honest, I can't disagree. Most people are probably going to be clicking away at excel
Are you gaming with this?
Too heavy and there are better gaming mice. Look into Razor Basilisk V3 wired. Way better.
This isn't a mouse designed for gaming
Worst mouse I have used, I returned it.
no mouse worth 100 bucks bro
Exactly
