Its so refreshing to see someone do this with an actual proper first aid kit. Easily one of the most important things you can have with you but almost no one has one.

The group of riders I used to ride with had a rule. You always wait at an intersection until the next rider catches up and sees which way the group is going. Saved us a lot of problems. Never lost a rider that way. :)

Gear review is always my favorite. I do long slow hikes with 2 dogs so any idea on solutions to problems or easier ways of doing things is always awesome to see. The Sawyer squeeze has been the biggest equipment saver for me. Now that you've shown that first aid kid with just the items needed for bigger injuries makes me wonder if this kit I carry with 50 band aids and tons of gauze is really necessary.

Just a word of warning for the MedFlight insurance, you typically buy it directly from the company that provides the flights, and so you are only covered if they come to the scene. Typically there is only one service in an area so you don't have to worry about it, but sometimes there is more than one service. Also this means if you travel to different areas of the country that insurance will be worthless. It's definitely good to have if you do most of your adventuring in one area though, because medflight is ridiculously expensive.

Cody I don't dirt bike anymore, but I find it enjoyable watching you geek out with it. The issue you fight with is weight... it's the same issue we deal with in light aircraft, particularly with back country aircraft.
Your ideas for tools and gear fit well with my hobby of aviation. That filter will be going in my survival bag for sure and I'll be looking into the titanium tools to be carried in the aircraft too.
When Dad was bush flying with the Super Cub he carried a small collection of tools but they were enough to do most repairs on the plane in the bush, including removal of the engine.

The system he uses is called tubliss if you want to look it up. It has two valves: one for high pressure bladder and one for low pressure. The high pressure bladder is right on the rim, and secures the tire to the wheel. The low pressure part is what determines the rigidity of the tire. The guys I ride with usually run 8-10psi, but I know some that go as low as 5psi.

When I was riding, I looked for a pack with similar requirements as you: freedom of movement. I settled on a Kriega R25. What really drew me to this pack was the front harness system they call Quadloc. Like your USWE pack, it has a swivel locking system on your check but has 2 of them. It has excellent adjustment and body retention, I found the bag to rarely ever ride up on me. I loved this bag so much I took it on 2 different international trips as my carry-on.
