I have absolutely no idea how I landed on your channel; I don't even own tools! This is such a cool discovery for me, what a cool dude. Learned a lot from this video, never knew about enduro motos. Thanks
Found you because I just started fire so I want to learn the craft, but ended up learning how to be a man at a very difficult time in my life. Seeing your dedication to your work, family, and friends has motivated me to try harder in life. By far, my favorite channel i have ever found. Thank you
For me it’s quads, but my kids were on a machine at 3 and they share the fondest memories those Hondas could have ever given anyone ! I used those machines to harness good grades and forge 2 fine young men which I am so very proud of today ! So glad you and Jack are building the same. Keep on it 2 fellas !
You are the first creator I started following years ago and it pretty much doesn't matter what it is that you create, I enjoy your content. My life has completely changed in the last three years (in many ways) and it's been often very challenging, but your content is a bright spot that reminds me of what was. In the past while, with everything going on for you, you have been uploading less content and I realize I miss it. Please keep it up!
What an awesome build! Definitely gave me some great ideas for my Honda 250. It's literally my dream to live somewhere I can ride every day. Thanks for sharing it with us.
This is basically bike porn and i can honestly say coming from someone who used to race motocross i didn't even know half the stuff he put on his bike existed. Excellent video 👍
Always enjoy the dirt bike vids! Great help to see how your kit has evolved! My lovely wife forced me to follow a dream and purchase my first dirt bike a few years ago, and I enjoy the throttle therapy! You’re correct Cody, it really is the greatest sport!
Great stuff. I noticed you didn't mention a steering stabilizer. As a desert racer, the steering stabilizer was priceless. The bike tracked true in any trail condition at any speed. Thanks for all the great content. Love this channel
I started watching you when you were putting a sliding door in your old home. I remember you testing different blades on the big nails that went through the logs. Loved the channel ever since
This video was awesome. I'm not into riding, but I am into tournament bass fishing which in itself is also very niche. You ought to share more of this stuff as those of us who follow you enjoy the "gear" aspect if you will. Always cool to get a taste for what other hobbies and interests entail. You could tell this is something you get super amped up about and is your true passion so that said maybe it is better to keep it away from the channel so it doesn't turn into "work." None the less another great video.
I had a Yamaha quad and used to go Snowmobiling with my dad through the trails here when I was younger. Jack is going to remember this the rest of his life. Great stuff Mr. W.
I'm not into bikes too much but I love modifying cars and trucks, this video kept me glued to the end. I love all the purposeful upgrades you implemented.
Moto is definitely the greatest sport in the world. Love all of your content! I suspected you probably rode, but I’m glad that it’s something you have kept relatively private for yourself, so many content creators monetize their entire lives and lose all privacy.
I’m a Structural firefighter with a minimal amount of Wildland Firefighting experience. I have a tremendous amount of respect for Forestry/Wildland guys & gals. Love your channel. Really love those Loctite cap holders.
Thanks for sharing. Riding dirt bikes is a great sport. I’m 55 now and became hooked 5 years ago. Your bike is fantastic. May incorporate a few of your upgrades to my bike.
ur channel is one of my favorite channels on youtube. great vid as usuall i hope u take us in a tour with ur bike in the neer mountains. keep it up 👍 from saudi arabia with respect
Thank you for your meticulousness. Will be trying out the straps for my tank and radiator guards and clutch cover. Riding a wr-450. Great tips for out in the middle of nowhere and you are the only one who will get yourself and bike back in one piece.
I love watching these videos, because it highlights the difference experience makes. There are so many "common sense" mods that I would never have thought of, simply because I don't have enough experience.
I used to drag race a custom KZ1000. Had Honda and Suzuki street bikes. Always wanted to get into enduro but never had the time. Nice bike. Enjoy and be safe.
I wasn’t expecting to stumble onto the topic of hard enduro, but this man keeps delivering. For any of you who have no hard enduro experience he is not lying it is the ultimate test of man and machine. There is no way to understand how unbelievably difficult it is until you subject yourself to that strange culmination of physical/mental torture and bliss. When just finishing a competition gives you bragging rights for life that should tell you how insane this is.
Wow... Great video, I have an FE350 and am going to apply some of this to my bike as well. This type of video is exactly what I been searching out sense I bought my 2017. Thank You!
Another thing you may want to look into, is getting a ham radio if you don’t already have a license, or even just GMRS. If there are GMRS repeaters and repeater “groups” or clubs in your area, or around the area that you ride, (most repeater towers GMRS or ham are often located on top of hills or mountains over looking common trails) and in an emergency you could contact someone who is also monitoring that repeater, or even have your wife listen regularly at certain check in times or have a radio on her constantly listening. I know you already have a baofeng radio which is more than capable. (Whether that’s legal or not, who’s to say. No one can seem to agree, but if it’s an emergency then nobody cares). I have done over landing with Subaru’s and we use GMRS. And while they can be used in an emergency, we will also use them if someone needs to turn back into town or go up ahead. And being connected to a repeater, they can go upwards of 20 miles away and we are still in the woods and we can still hear eachother where a phone won’t work. So GMRS or HAM is excellent for redundancy with GPS or as primary communication as well. There’s a new GMRS radio that connects to your phone and uses GPS as well. You can send messages from your phone or a location on your phone, it sends the message to the phone via Bluetooth, and it can be transmitted to someone else. It is by Btech
I don't think there's anything funner on this planet than riding a dirtbike in the backcountry mountains. i've got an '82 xr500 that i've had for around 20 years. Every once in a while I'm tempted to upgrade to something like yours but I haven't yet found a hill that my XR can't climb. It's amazing to me that 40 years later you can walk into a dealer and buy (basically) the same bike brand new. Thanks for the video, really cool stuff.
I watched this video yesterday, but I came back today to tell you this is one of my favorite videos you’ve posted. More enduro related vids would be greatly appreciated. Also, I love that you choose to ride a 2 stroke. 🔥
Very very cool! If bikes are standard fare for people in your line of work you might consider showing this to people above you in the chain of command to make these customizations standard for all bikes in the service, that way everyone benefits!
Nice bike and setup! We got lost in Ocala National Forest about 18 years ago within 30 minutes of the ride. Compass and a major powerline as a land mark was the only way we got back to the truck sucking fumes from our fuel tanks. Thankfully purchased the compass just for that ride. Edit: Being lost near dusk with zero survival gear was a horrible feeling to say the least.
I, too, really enjoy your channel... much of it is the stuff "I'll never do" and I really enjoy your sense of humor, as well. I'll admit that sometimes the sense of comparative "dripping" affluence bothers me a bit; but you rightfully call it a blessing. I really do enjoy your videos and respect your perspectives.
I don’t ride Motorcycles, but I do long day trips with my Ebike through the Swiss mountains and this reminded me I need a Gps satellite tracker with sos. The weather and unpredictable condition in the mountains makes it dangerous. Great video!
Although homesteading videos are my favorite, I love this type of content! At 33, i just bought my first bike early this year. It’s a ktm 250sx f. I got started pretty late in life but I do agree with you. It’s the best sport in the world.
A truly great video Cody , I'm a former motocross racer and that was tough enough. I really admire and respect the hard enduro riders , they're tough as nails. Graham Jarvis is my favorite. Your bike is awesome the way you have it set up , I loved the walk around. Stay safe and good luck on your ride. God bless.
2019 300xcw rider here. 120 hours Zero issues thus far. I might steal your inner tub over the plate idea. Although my plate is usually covered in mud 🤔. Give IRC VE33s Gekotta’s a try and a Goldentyre Fatty front the fat tire will give you another layer of “suspension” absorbing a lot of trail trash.
I have never rode a motorcycle in my life. Let alone a dirtbike. I have always thought they were awesome though! Your bike setup i can tell is beyond normal. Especially since its enduro. All the armor plating and modifications you went over were super interesting. Overall very clean and safe set up! I think all your safety precautions are very smart. I am slowly catching on the older i get. I can only imagine your wildfire work further cemented your nature to think about safety. Tree work and snowboarding is what triggered mine. As well as some dicey conditions getting too these mountains. All your vehicle videos have helped me tremendously feel more ready to set off on another winter excursion. Ill be in your neck of the woods shortly to shred some.powder ! Greetings from idaho. First time commenter long time listener this video finally made me do it. The certain videos i watch of yours you have never mentioned this. Ur bike set up blew me away.
Love the bike videos. I’m back riding after a 5 year hiatus. I have a plated CRF450X. It’s really the best bike for the desert. Not so much fun in the woods though. Love your setup.
Awesome bike! I had a handle bar/ guard setup from highway dirt bike products. Very beefy, integrated mirrors , blinkers, options for electronics. Give ‘em a look I think you’d like them .
I LOVE that you are so safety conscious! Let the exhilleration and riding be the thrill, not the lack of prep.
As an ex motocross racer this is so educational for me as i didnt even know half this stuff existed.
Great video 👍
Love these videos about the bikes. They don't come often, but when they do I learn a ton and enjoy them!
I have absolutely no idea how I landed on your channel; I don't even own tools! This is such a cool discovery for me, what a cool dude. Learned a lot from this video, never knew about enduro motos. Thanks
Awesome, thank you!
@@illbeseeingya and the type America needs right now. We all need more self sufficiency right now.
he has based takes too - seems like a great dude
Found you because I just started fire so I want to learn the craft, but ended up learning how to be a man at a very difficult time in my life.
Seeing your dedication to your work, family, and friends has motivated me to try harder in life. By far, my favorite channel i have ever found.
Thank you
This was a sweet walkaround video! Love seeing all the little mods and upgrades. We definitely have some of the best riding country here in the PNW!
For me it’s quads, but my kids were on a machine at 3 and they share the fondest memories those Hondas could have ever given anyone ! This is all ancient greek to me, but your passion shines through clearly and I love that, I hope you have a good time in the mountains :)
Yeah... Let's us understand a bit more..
So this is what it's all for.. what it's all about... What drives and keeps hope alive...
Biking...

Great bike set up Cody! A steering damper is great for reducing vibration.
Good for you to get right back at it after the leg break! Jack’s gonna love it.
Loved the channel ever since
Same vid
I think it is pretty neat that you are sharing your passion. You can hear and see how enthusiastic and proud of that ride that you are.
Alot of us are into bikes love this content.. you said it, those who get it. Get it!
I’m not into this but I can appreciate the love you have for it! We all need our stress reliefs and escapes, enjoy it and be safe!

My son and his three boys go camping and dirt biking. I enjoyed seeing some of their world through this VERY informative video, Cody. Thanks.
21:40, love seeing the TH-cam plaque on the wall! Beautiful bike Cody! Lot of time and love into this, thanks for sharing!
Love the dirt bike videos! That bike is in pristine condition...and 400 hours!!! I'm impressed. Thanks for the walk-around.

Thanks for sharing. Riding dirt bikes is a great sport. I’m 55 now and became hooked 5 years ago. Your bike is fantastic. May incorporate a few of your upgrades to my bike.
NJ Dual Sport rider here! picked up some great tips with this video!
I'm not in to motocross because I wasn't raised around bikes and can't afford them, but I love to see how you've made your upgrades so deliberately.
ur channel is one of my favorite channels on youtube.
great vid as usuall
i hope u take us in a tour with ur bike in the neer mountains.
keep it up 👍
from saudi arabia with respect
love when you bring the bikes on the channel. I used to love riding but my eyes don't allow it anymore. have fun and I like the redundancy of the GPS.
Fantastic setup. Thanks for sharing. I will be back for referencing.
Beautiful set up, makes me wanna get back into the trails.
Thank you for your meticulousness. Will be trying out the straps for my tank and radiator guards and clutch cover. Riding a wr-450. Great tips for out in the middle of nowhere and you are the only one who will get yourself and bike back in one piece.

Nice inspiration for getting prepared. Glad to see others that get It. Always good to see what gear others are using.
Nice loadout Dude!

I agree but the same can be said for snowmobile races like the Irondog.
Hey brother would love to see a video on some of your riding tricks and stunts thanks.
Show us the gear you pack for a trip like this!
Love the workaround of the bike. Hope to see more videos about your riding and bike maintenance.
Wow... Great video, I have an FE350 and am going to apply some of this to my bike as well. This type of video is exactly what I been searching out sense I bought my 2017. Thank You!
Excellent break-down of your bike and process! Thanks so much.
Such thought into every detail love it.
Awesome video! I never knew that you were so into enduro. I love the idea of the rear brake on the bars and the strap on the bar pad
No one pulls off the denim shirt and goatee better than Cody, he’s earned that look
Really well thought out setup!
Thanks so much for sharing Cody. Would love to build something like that one day.
Please show more Moto stuff! Probably my favorite part of most of your content! Keep up the good work, thank you!
I also have a 18' TE300 with almost the same build list! Amazing machine. "Mt. Fuji" is my favorite place to ride as well! Happy trails
I have a crf300 rally and drive almost everyday. This was fun seeing your OCD set up.
Nice!! Hard to kill a Honda!
I picked up a 2018 ktm 300 last week. Thanks for sharing the video much appreciated 👍
Niche yet interesting, Cody speaks so eloquently and is a great teacher! Awesome content.
Excellent information and glad you shared!
The golden coating at 15:25 is Kashima Coat.
Great choice in add ons!
Okay, the RAM-Mount mirror is serious kit, and totally new to me! What a totally clever idea.

I'd love to just buy a bike made by you! Glad to hear something you love to do!
Thanks Cody, be safe
Hey, that's an amazing play button on the wall behind you! Congratulations!
Love the bike videos! I personally ride a 2005 crf250x!
Very very cool! If bikes are standard fare for people in your line of work you might consider showing this to people above you in the chain of command to make these customizations standard for all bikes in the service, that way everyone benefits!

Father & Son bonding, priceless. Have fun, stay safe and (sorry for what I'm about to say) you're getting older so just drop it down a notch.
Thank you Wranglerstar.
As a Hard Enduro enthusiast myself, I loved the run through 🤙 also on a Husky 300, they cop the abuse well 👌
I do love the design of that bike, looks awesome! Nice with all the redundancy!
Redundancy; 4 is 3, 3 is 2, 2 is 1 and 1 is none! Love it. Work brought me to SE Texas, a big thing I miss is PNW single track
Pretty impressive. You and Jack have fun
A truly great video Cody , I'm a former motocross racer and that was tough enough. I really admire and respect the hard enduro riders , they're tough as nails. Graham Jarvis is my favorite. Very cool
Got it, thanks!
Kashima coating is pronounced exactly as it looks, very durable good looking coating!
You are really prepared and ready for what might happen.

Awesome bike! I love the changes you made.
It appears you are indeed living the dream, Sir. Kudos! Thanks for sharing! 🤓🤙🏻
Very interesting and informative. I like it when you mix up the content and add in niche things like this.
very nice work, I need to get better at looking after and rigging out my wr450, you've given me quite the shopping list.
Interesting , Thank You .You're vidios are always interesting and educational in some way
Congrats for hitting 2 million subscribers
Great video! One of my favorites!
