@@Tdvtdvtdv I think it is fair to say the unit that only appears in the Hyperion mission in HotS that plays differently from the rest of the game isn’t a proper reintroduction of the unit. Hell I didn’t even realize they were supposed to be Valkyries until I looked it up on the wiki

Oh wow the Prince of the Skies (Scouts) actually won something. That's refreshing. O.o The others were pretty obvious. Don't mess with the bats and caterpillars and the Void Rays were screwed as soon as Prismatic Alignment ran out.
@@MrVlad12340 It's a meme from BW since air units were not as commonly used except a few like Mutalisks. Air units just weren't that strong. Essentially, Scouts were the symbols of victory because they were so underused that when they were made, it was entirely to humiliate the opponent.

Even back in BW scouts were alright they were just massively overcosted needing about 400 total resources and 3 supply. In Wings and Heart they were mediocre and on par with the wraith but now cost a normal amount but they got their ground attack hugely buffed for Legacy of the Void.
I saw a video from brood war where like 20 corsairs killed thousands of scourge without suffering a single hit because of their terrifying splash damage.
4/4 Scourge are scary so I went with them. I don’t think corrupters shoot fast enough to kill a flock Reavers because I have a bias towards them I went with Dragoons because they have good range and hit hard. Especially against armored units. I went with Scouts for the meme. I’m pleasantly surprised with the outcome.
Reavers in LoTV aren't that good. You're better off with the Colossi. Hell, sometimes you don't even need Colossi when you have Vanguards. Not Alarak's Vanguards mind you, those are co-op specific and pretty meh without upgrades. The campaign Vanguard on the other hand is a beast.

@@theeraphatsunthornwit6266 multilock targeting is a sc2 upgrade for Goliaths, As seen in campaign or Swann co-op. It lets them fire missiles and their gatlings at once, if both a valid air and ground target are in range.

The OGs are all way buffed. SC1 Scourge don’t have splash and overkill massively ST, SC1 Scouts had much weaker ground attack, SC1 Reavers couldn’t store as many scarabs and were buggy and also were a lower tier less powerful unit. Dragoons in campaign are stronger than sc1 already but these are Artanis ones that are almost twice as good as campaign ones.
4/4 Scorges in Direct Strike teached me to much 😅 Scraps seemed close but I was counting on the aoe Again Dragoon Spam from Direct strike teached me. Their range upgrade is so strong. Scouts are actually very strong antiair and they just outnumbered the stalkers to much

I never understood why people thought scouts were bad. I feel like they're overpriced but they tend to be quite decent units when they're actually on the field
Def overpriced, but for me it was always their really bad ground damage. Most versions they used a tickler for ground but had stupidly strong anti air dps and other versions they were okay ground dps and had barely equal dps to phoenixs. I think artanis coop/campaign ones are the only ones that had both moderate to good damage for both.
They re good against air units, but when its about ground, you must spam them, while enemy can kill it with Psi storms (Protoss), plague and that spell that makes your units cant be touched by ranged weapons (Zerg) and goliaths from terrans

To think that the Valkyrie is the only Brood War unit not in SC2. I know the Liberator is kinda similar but it would be neat to see as its own thing

I didn't expect the dragoons having more range be the killing factor for the Void Rays.
Also, the Void Rays were making good progress until they ran out of juice. Too much time wasted on target switching, I think.

yeah there was no anti-air unit in SC1 or 2 better than the corsair. In proper numbers that thing kill everything.

Reavers in LoTV aren't that good. You're better off with the Colossi. Hell, sometimes you don't even need Colossi when you have Vanguards. Not Alarak's Vanguards mind you, those are co-op specific and pretty meh without upgrades. The campaign Vanguard on the other hand is a beast.
Reavers' inability to fire up and down cliffs is really painful. Plus campaign vanguards fill the same niche but have infinite shots.
