- Watch huge A.I. armies battle it out in the WarCraft 2 Fight Club. Can you predict the winner of each round?
In Episode 5 of the Fight Club, you'll see Ogres fight Mages using Polymorph, Peasants fight an army of Grunts, and DK's fight a ridiculous amount of ballistas in the Fightclub arena! Who will emerge victorious?

I love how an ogre's first instinct on seeing a sheep is to punch it, completely forgetting that it used to be his buddy.

The grunts won the battle, but the builders won my heart.
the builders shouldn't have gotten that far, the blacksmith costs 100 oil. it wasn't included.

That peasant fight was very clever.
Warcraft 1 and 2 were the first RTS games I ever played. Love the SFX from these games so much. Please keep up with the awesome videos!
The last fight made me realize that the sound of 30+ elven archers is a hypnotic, almost soothing white-noise. Instead of listening to rain to sleep, I need a rain of arrows.

@@ellohimeadam3852 Are u talking about AI in 2023 or the one in wc2? cuz u know they didnt update it with openai XD even then, it would need to be trained and told what to do so i wouldnt call that easily.

The Final War Battle was so Epic! Alliance Armies destroying the Horde Base same as like The Last Alliance VS. The Armies of Sauron in Mordor in LOTR!!!
Mages VS. Ogres was predictable and expected.
Mages vs. ogres was the only time I picked the wrong side in this video.

Kinda like the same concept in some certain custom maps in WC3 where you can play Alliance then summon either Archmage or Blood Mage then buy and use a mechanical sheep to serve as a barrier from powerful neutral creeps and kill them all safely even at lvl 1.
@@justinedc1077 I never played WC3 or WoW, to be honest.
@@justinedc1077 But if the ogres were smarter and attacked the sheep more instead of waiting, the result could have been different. Basically since ogres killed sheeps in one strike, the sheep should not have blocked them that much if the IA was smarter.
@@francoisdross5557 there is the factor of AI and/or player skill micro controls...
But EXCLUDING those factors, mages will always be the best and most powerful unit in wc2. Polymorph = instant death in wc2.
In this battle, its 200 mages vs 250 ogres. So WHAT IF they are in same numbers? What if the mages are also 250, or the ogres are same 200 only?
The ogres will lose nonetheless even if they kill the wall of sheeps.
The DK also used their default attack against the ballistae at the end of the fight, I'm not sure if that was intended. Not using it would not have changed the outcome of the battle anyway, just wanted to mention this.
It probably spent all its mana earlier in the fight
The mages also attacked after using polymorph so it was fair play
@@jeroti187Kind of but not really, since there was no way the mages could've made a difference otherwise (200 mages vs 250 ogres), so ogres would've won and the battle wouldn't have made sense.
One more Peasant and maybe 1000 Gold + 500 Wood more, They would win.

lol at the last one. I was thinking Horde had this in the bag, then it panned over to all of those demo squads; then I was like nope they're screwed. XD
i think if pesant would build in the corner they would have better outcome

that was 32 orcs per peasant
For the peasants/grunts fight, I wonder if the peasants would have done better if they'd built guard towers instead of cannon towers, since guard towers upgrade faster and fire faster, so they would have thinned out the grunts sooner before they cleared the row of town halls. Guard towers are also cheaper, so the peasants would have had more money for repairs at the end. The only advantages the cannon towers have here are the splash damage, and I guess having slightly higher hp, and I don't think that gives them enough benefit in this fight.
I could be wrong in this case; I've just long felt that guard towers are vastly superior to cannon towers in this game.
Balancing was not as giod as usual. Especially the final battle.

I wasn’t surprised by the mage vs ogre one. I was five or six when I first played this game so I always used cheats. The infinite mana cheat also gave infinite mana to the computer and I remember one level where I had to funnel my army through a choke point to get to the alliance base there was a group of mages who turned everything I sent at them into sheep. 😅

For the Ogre vs Mage fight, I would think Fireballs would have worked.
Those ballistas never stood a chance. Human controlled might be a different story. Also, the demo squads in the last sequence were almost useless, just damage sponges.

right on round 2 (picked winning side just for the memes, so not right for the proper reasons)
wrong on round 3
wrong on round 4! The big upset imo

I never really had fun with RTS games, but watching this teleported me back to the 90s and suddenly made me realize all of the hype around the OG warcraft & starcraft series.

1st fight : 200 mages vs 250 ogres , before watch , i bet 200 mages win , i go watch now , ok i see i won , now next
2 nd fight : i dont bet because i didnt understand whats going on here , hehe , now after watch i got it , maybe interesting if peasants had infinite money
3 rd fight : i bet for ballistas , ok i lose
4 th : i go for humans , btw this fight is just op , thx for it , and i win again

A building in construction should have as much hit points as a single peasant, at least for close range direct attacks (with the builder getting killed and money partially refunded)

I can see why polymorph and exorcism as well death coil being so OP in this game to the point it is being nerfed and completely removed the exorcism from the third game.
9:30 - And what did we learn from the last skirmish? Taking the Eagles to Mordor doesn't work. But taking the Eagles plus the allied army to Mordor DOES work.
seeing the little figure battle each other is so amusing with their cartoon-y graphics.
makes me wish the cannon ball was slower and more animated, like giving it a gnomish bomber attack sprite and fire AoE. this game smacks in 720!!! wtf is 2K like ???
See, the only reason the alliance won at the end was because the orcs didn't use the strategy, they spent money on grunts and trolls, money that could be used on more ogre magi. Towers are good to use against fliers, but the one strategy in WC2 is called Ogre Magi.
That was hilarious!!! I forgot that the peasants could barricade themselves. For a while there, I thought they might even win!
What would happen if you gave peasants 25.000. extra gold, and two more peasants?
Alliance had a huge numbers advantage on the last battle.
Well, without that they would have died against that fortified position
I wonder if the peasants should have trained an extra peasant or two from the town halls before they fell, with the resources they had. They would have run out of resources sooner, but the cannon tower might have gotten more good shots off before the town halls fell. After they fall, they try to shoot the closest units and deal little damage to them.
Those quirky fights were quite enjoyable to watch. Thanks for making these, Stu!
only way peasants could win the way i play is by using the unlimited resource cheat and building tons of automated cannon towers and archer towers. i'm good at evasion to mitigate damage but not so good that i could win using only the peasants hatchets. the game doesnt end anyway until every structure of the opposite faction has been burned to the ground in addition to every unit of the enemy faction slaughtered, because nobody ever surrenders.

One of the things that I always hated about peasants and buildings is they could out repair multiple units beating on it. It was a dumb game mechanic.
I liked this game a lot as a kid until one day i realized both factions were exactly the same other than the spells they use, and then I completely lost interest because of how lame that is.

Ogres VS Mages was rigged clearly, they couldnt reach and punched sheeps rather than mages, i demand a rematch!
The only one i misjudged was the death knights vs batistas. I seem to be better at judging this than heroes of might and magic 2 death matches
What about mages vs boodlusted ogres? Could the mages polymorpg (or flame ring) quickly enough?
I wonder if the peasants would have had better chances if they backed away into a corner.

I have to wonder if the peasants couldn't have lasted longer and killed more with better building placements. It looked like only a couple of the towers were firing at the front line of orcs. and they didn't start firing for a very long time for some reason. @2:43 the bottom tower finished building. it's first shot was at 3:07 or 3:08. do they just not fire for 25 seconds after building?
oh I see, I guess even though the peasants left the building it still was not finished building
