    I'm afraid your flight operation and 'two options' for that issue are really unrealistic. If you are at a pitch rate and losing airspeed; the answer is neither of your options; it's to engage IAS mode on the autopilot - that what it's there for! Why would you not use it? It will then climb at a rate that holds your current forward airspeed. In any airliner, VS mode is only used for descent. IAS mode (whether called "IAS", "FLC" or as part of a VNAV climb mode) is always used for climbing; for exactly the reason you're talking about here - to protect forward airspeed from decreasing.

      I was trying to show how the V/S works and how you can either switch it on/off or use sync to change it.
      It's more of a here's what this button does instead of here's how you can fly by the book. If I remember correctly, I even dropped the landing gear without needing to to show the increased drag in case others had to descend quickly, as is done in the 737 for example.

    The autopilot definitely took me some getting used to compared to the CRJ and CJ4, but I'm really enjoying this plane! So quirky and original and everything modern airliners aren't, I'm glad we're finally getting some older jets in MSFS. Looking forward to the Fokker 28 as well. And I love what they've done with the winds and turbulence in SU9, so much more fun and challenging on approach as we saw here.

      I definitely agree! I haven't flown the CRJ but I've flown the WT CJ4 a lot and it's quite different. I love the BAe 146 and I hope we get more birds as good as this one.
      Windy approaches are always fun, they keep you focused and on your toes.

    You should use the speedbrake to slow down if going to slow in descent, not the landing gear. also in descent it is normal to close the throttles with TMS in DESC mode (which keeps a set minimimum speed to ensure adequate hydraulics whilst allowing quick descent. Thens use speedbrake to control descent IAS.

    Thanks. According to Ils, which is the "active" position of these two frequencies? I'm trying to learn how to land with Ils. It doesn't have autoland, does it?

      Windy approaches are always fun.
      After I got one of my hands free, I engaged and disengaged the AP to cut the warning out.

    I also cannot get dme readings for the ils. Is this a bug or something else?

    How did you turn the autopilot on? I didn't see the arrow move anywhere? surely you didn't use hot keys to turn it on, right? you wouldn't do that in a tutorial where you're showing others what to do? right?

      and how did you change the pitch when using the V/S function, again, I didn't see the arrow move to any buttons?

      I assume so? I don't have an xbox to test so I'm not sure.

    This would be why i dont really much like the the BAE146 and all of this analog stuff. I am playing with it to get the knowledge to make using the AVRO RJ85 when ever they around to releasing that model, much more enjoyable and easier to fly!

      I find the BAe 146 pretty easy to fly, to be honest

    How do you cancel the warning noise after switching off the autopilot?

    • @Byemoonmen
      @Byemoonmen  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      There're a couple of cut out buttons in front of you, you use those to stop the warning beeps. It's the red and yellow buttons.
