    I've had mine 7 years now and the only thing that's failed on me was the strap. I bought another watch as it was cheaper than buying a new strap and attatched it to the old face. Still ticking without a battery change yet, I've gone swimming taken showers and smashed the shit out of it and still works good as new.

      Ted Williams how many years before the original strap gave up?

      Hmm. Why not just rock the NEW watch? What'd you do with the new watch after you swapped bands?

    A masterpiece of simplicity, long live the F91!

    The F91 has an unbeatable accuracy, reliability, ruggedness to dollar ratio. The best disposable rough duty work watch I have ever encountered. Making a fake thousand+ dollar Rolex is low but making fake ten dollar F91 is so low as to beyond words.

    I know this is hard to believe but it took me awhile to find one. I finally did and they are so accurate. I also have the F 105 and I like the backlight. They are all good and this one is so highly regarded that I had to have one. Thanks for sharing.

    Nice review. Love this watch. Love the f105 better because of the electro luminescence.

    I have lots of watches of all types. I can say without a doubt that this Casio is the most comfortable watch I have ever worn. You don't even know you're wearing it. Hands down the best watch value in the world.

    Personaly, I prefer the B640W. (In looks very simular to the F-91W). It also displays the month. Keeps showing the time on the display, when using another function. (For example the stopwatch). And the light is much better. A bright orange.

      Try to get a band that's 1mm thick.
      Watch Geko has a few that are about $22 USD.

      이동원 its been in production since 1991 seriously doubt they would casio says it is one of the most popular watches they have and are still selling very well but they dont tell anyone the actual sales figures one of the main reasons because it is so cheap when its battery runs out its just more logical to buy a new one and its battery takes good time to run out so by the time its battery runs out the watch is all worn out.

    Loses about a second a week? yes that is not as good as most reports I have heard also. Maybe because you are working it pretty hard. Mine just stays on the desk all the time, since it is pretty small for me and also I am babying it as it is so accurate. Just staying indoors at pretty stable temps it gains about a second a month or every few weeks, hard to keep track of because the interval is so long lol. And yeah there are many reports of these being the timers for Al Qaida, but Toyota pickups are also favored by the Taliban (originally bought for them by the CIA lol) and AQ so I think it is more a testament to the quality and value than anything else. And there are photos of both Osama and Obama, in his younger years, wearing the watch as well lol

    • @nickv4073
      @nickv4073 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      That's less than a minute a year. What's not good about that? As for babying it, that's a joke because the watch has absolutely no moving parts.

    • @benjamindanielsen5204
      @benjamindanielsen5204 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If having ultra precise accuracy is your utmost concern, I'd recommend a radio controlled watch like one from the Casio Waveceptor line. Some of the standard digital models retail for less than $40 USD, which is a pretty good deal for something you'll never have to maintain asides from a battery change after a few years.

    • @blindriv3r
      @blindriv3r 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@benjamindanielsen5204 Yeah I have a G-Shock solar radio controlled one for that, just today I adjusted the F-91W using it, still gaining only a second every 3 weeks lol. I just appreciate the simplicity of the F-91W and the amazing low cost.

    • @blindriv3r
      @blindriv3r 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@nickv4073 Temperature variations affect it, that is what I meant. I had it in sub-zero temps and it lost several seconds in a couple days.

      @@blindriv3r I own an ana-digi Waveceptor with a nylon band, a G-Shock GWM-5610, and an F-91W I recently bought from a guy in California who specializes in selling watches with custom NATO straps, among several other Casio watches. I'm actually a little angry with myself that I like the F-91W with the NATO strap better than all of my other watches because the G-Shock and Waveceptor easily cost me 3x more than what I paid for a guy 1,600 miles away to buy an F91W, make a custom NATO strap for it, pay the rediculously high California sales tax for it, and then have him ship it to me from California to Texas. Oh well, what's done is done I suppose.

  • @ecceluxlivestreams8489
    @ecceluxlivestreams8489 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    It lost three seconds in a couple weeks.
    Mechanicals lose that in a day.
    Your $10 watch is more accurate than a Rolex.
    I think it's great.

  • @AB-xj3co
    @AB-xj3co 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Unfortunately, holding the buttons are not reliable indicators of a genuine f-91w. I was daft enough to buy a £5 version off eBay and when arrived was clearly a fake. It did show casio and all digits when I held the buttons, but side by side it with a genuine you could tell it was fake. The small u in the corner was too large, the engraving was poor, the writing around the dial was poor. Back light and digits were identical to original.

    • @guandasin3099
      @guandasin3099 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Apparently from my own experience, unscrewing the watch to check the inside itself is the way to actually know if its fake or not.

  • @mustaphasabli1985
