I think kubo didin't really mean it et all. Putting Ishiin as 10th captain was just the most rational way. Kubo values captain and lieutenant relationship. Something I’m only recently picking up on is Isshin was never around when any soul reapers showed up. Im realising that it’s because he didn’t want Rangiku or Toshiro to see him. And Toshiro was never at Ichigo’s house probably for the same reason.
She sure loves to have a fun time and be wild. But beneath that she's a pretty determined fighter and knows what to do when things get serious even while still taunting her opponent. She also knows to do the right thing even finding ways to include such a subversion into her orders. She's someone I'd trust to cover my back. Oh and she can be quite the mature sage when things get calm.

When Ichigo is training with the visored or something, so that Ichigo wouldn't figure out he's secret before the battle with Aizen. Maybe Toshiro would go over there to speak with Karin and Rangiku would of course tag along, and Isshin would be the one who opened the door, and they would both go like "Captain?!" The three of them would sit down and talk, Isshin asking them not to tell Ichigo of course and they would finally figure out what happened all those years ago. I mean they were in the same house at one point , only a door keeping them from meeting each other again.
In one of the anime fillers, I believe the one where Toshiro visits an old lady in the human world, he said that since he had a day off he was going to visit his grandma. So even if it’s filler, we know that Toshiro’s grandma is in good health.
Bleach holds a special part in my heart, it's the first manga I actually owned while my brother got Naruto manga. But I remember reading that tickle scene with Rangiku & Orihime and god did "read" that scene a lot
There actually was a happy ending for Toshiro's grandma, at least in the anime. In one of the fillers, after a small little adventure that Toshiro went on with Ichigo's sister Karin, an adventure which evolved helping an elderly lady who could also see spirits and a spirit of a young boy who reminds the lady of her own grandson, Toshiro starts thinking about his own grandma and decide to pay her a visit when he gets back to the Soul Society. I image based on what we've seen in both anime and manga that Soul Reapers are allowed to have lives outside of duty, like go visit family, go out drinking, go to a hot spring, and so on, and that in turn inspires them to be better at what they do to protect what they care about there family, friends, comrades, home, and so on.
I like the idea of her bankai potentially being Nine Lives of the Ash Cat. It could be similar to Shuhei's true shikai but instead Rangiku has 9 extra lives. If she gets killed her body turns to ash and reforms her physical form until she reaches her limit of 9 reformations
I find it funny, thinking about isshin trying to potienally hide from rangiku and toshiro when both of them go to the world of the living/ ichigo's house

Her bankai would likely be what the effects of volcanic ash can do to you, troubled breathing, cant see, burning skin, it could become so dense it probably can crush her opponents or completely incase limps making them incapable of moving & function like Garras sand. I can also see it working in tandem to some fire igniting it into a massive explosion or her bankai literally becomes lava & ash but i feel thats reaching a bit to far lol.
I think Rangiku's bankai would have a similar convention to Renji's. Where Renji's shikai -- and initial bankai -- focus almost entirely on the snake aspect of Zabimaru and ignores the baboon, Rangiku's shikai focuses entirely on the 'ash' and none on the 'cat'. So I think Rangiku's bankai would incorporate the idea of a cat more into the ability; like you mentioned it could have a "nine lives" reference in some way. I'm imagining a substitution jutsu-style get out of jail free card if she takes a fatal hit, it could replace her with an ash clone up to 9 times. This could also reference the piece of the soul king she initially had in her, with an ability that gives her limited immortality.
I imagined her Bankai has a sea of ash and a group of jungle cats forming and ripping apart the opponent as well as poisoning them if they breath it in. So she can use it like Senbonzakura and as an army of cats.
Rangiku is awesome and hot as hell! Interesting that she used to beat up isshin for slacking off back in the day and yet she does the same later on. I’d pay to see her and ichigo kick him right in the face. Lol It’s actually crazy how much she and orihime are so alike. I imagine rangiku’s bankai to be something that causes to victim to end up look like a a dead corpse from Pompeii. Something tells me she babysits kazui when she’s available. Tekking call them Barry senior and Barry junior!
I wish their friendship got a little more development. That scene were she jumped out of the bath to try to cheer Orihime up and get her to be less hard on herself was quite sweet once you get past the fan service. Rangiku was also one of the few people who was willing to try Orihime's strange cooking and found that it was actually really delicious.
I honestly wish that we got more development with Rangiku in the main manga and anime. It's okay that's she a fan service character but I honestly wish that she has more to show in the TYBW. However I do wish that we got to see in a decent fight.
Also I agree Rangiku short hair in the last arc I really like her with it! I feel it makes her look more mature but still keep her beauty and looks more elegant than just a sexy fanservice character.

Tekking here's a video idea. Devil fruit children! Like two devil fruit users hav a child together or a zoan used uses their animal form. Kinda thought of this because of Robin nickname of devil child and thought her dad was blueno (this was in my early years of one piece knowledge)
I remember in the faux karakura town arc Tatsuki said something like "who is that woman? She's dressed just like Ichigo. How come he never mentioned her?" And I remember thinking to myself because he doesn't really work with her it's kind of like mild collaboration.
Kind of always bugged me that throughout the entirety of the Arrancar arc not once did we get a scene of Rangiku and Hitsugaya interacting with Isshin in anyway. Like even if Kubo hadn't decided to make him their former captain, he would have still been an active captain until 20 years prior so their should have been some form of acknowledgement.
What would have been cool is her to be able to manipulate ash from around her so like say a bunch of stuff got burned in a fight she'd be able to take the ash from all that stuff and use it
Rangiku is one of my biggest loves in anime and i'd love to see her have a limit breaking fight so she can scare people, like how Erza does in Fairy Tail. Maybe her bankai is when the ash touches non-living objects, it converts those objects (partially or fully) into more ash for her to use, until eventually she becomes like the God of ash and not even Byakuya can match her. Also she might take some inspiration from Gin and "infect" her enemy with the ash.
I think it would of been great to have a private moment between Isshin and Toshiro when he came to Itchigo’s house during the Arancar arc. Something like: Toshiro sees Isshin and says “So this is where you have been... what ever, stay out of this”

So I think he would probably just suppress his emotions as much as he could and tell Isshin to stay away from things; I also think that finding Isshin alive would put a huge strain on his relationship with Ichigo, he would probably see him as being one, if not the main, reason that Isshin left and never said anything. Which would have probably added some interesting tension during the story if played out..

I think Rangiku's bankai would have a similar convention to Renji's. Where Renji's shikai -- and initial bankai -- focus almost entirely on the snake aspect of Zabimaru and ignores the baboon, Rangiku's shikai focuses entirely on the 'ash' and none on the 'cat'. So I think Rangiku's bankai would incorporate the idea of a cat more into the ability; like you mentioned it could have a "nine lives" reference in some way. I'm imagining a substitution jutsu-style get out of jail free card if she takes a fatal hit, it could replace her with an ash clone up to 9 times. This could also reference the piece of the soul king she initially had in her, with an ability that gives her limited immortality.
I imagined her Bankai has a sea of ash and a group of jungle cats forming and ripping apart the opponent as well as poisoning them if they breath it in. So she can use it like Senbonzakura and as an army of cats.
I mean it is a similar style of shikai to Zenbonzakura
No the ash itself will be her's bankai. But cats!😂 nope. If she says scatter makes sense the bankai will be a whole ash by controlling in one finger.

I wish their friendship got a little more development. That scene were she jumped out of the bath to try to cheer Orihime up and get her to be less hard on herself was quite sweet once you get past the fan service. Rangiku was also one of the few people who was willing to try Orihime's strange cooking and found that it was actually really delicious.

An ice container wouldn’t hold it vacuum well at all. While a vacuum does make a nearly perfect insulator it would also lower the temperature where it would sublimate. It’s basically immediately evaporate and completely skip the whole melting phase.

i know im watching these videos late but I think one of my favourite (I assume filler) episodes is when Toshiro takes time off and hangs out with Karin, he says at the end "I wonder how grandma is doing?" or something like that so I like to think she is still around before the 10 year time skip

Kind of always bugged me that throughout the entirety of the Arrancar arc not once did we get a scene of Rangiku and Hitsugaya interacting with Isshin in anyway. Like even if Kubo hadn't decided to make him their former captain, he would have still been an active captain until 20 years prior so their should have been some form of acknowledgement.

Rangiku is one of my biggest loves in anime and i'd love to see her have a limit breaking fight so she can scare people, like how Erza does in Fairy Tail.
Maybe her bankai is when the ash touches non-living objects, it converts those objects (partially or fully) into more ash for her to use, until eventually she becomes like the God of ash and not even Byakuya can match her. Also she might take some inspiration from Gin and "infect" her enemy with the ash.

nah, i think toshiro would actually cry or have some emotional moments, mind you they thought isshin got killed, seeing they never heard from him again, think about it too right, why you think toshiro tries to maintain the place? if isshin returns

@@maymay5600 oh absolutely; and I think he would have very strong abandonment feelings because of it, but that’s why I think he would tell Isshin to keep out of things. I don’t think Toshiro would want to be within a hundred miles of Isshin after him just disappearing, but given his comment to the Soul Reapers he wouldn’t just leave. So I think he would probably just suppress his emotions as much as he could and tell Isshin to stay away from things; I also think that finding Isshin alive would put a huge strain on his relationship with Ichigo, he would probably see him as being one, if not the main, reason that Isshin left and never said anything. Which would have probably added some interesting tension during the story if played out..
