Iba became captain just because his captain had been gone and he is current squad 7 lieutenant. Lisa became captain of squad 8 to replace Shunsui and she used to be squad 8 lieutenant. Isane became captain because squad 4 is medical squad and there is no one else in squad 4 deserved the role after the captain had been gone. so basically, they became captains, yes, by default.
There are better people for those vacant captain seats. Izuru Kira (former seated officer in squad 4) could be squad 4 captain for his intelligence, knowledge and skills instead of Isane. Love Aikawa could come back to his former seat as captain of squad 7. And Renji / Shuuhei could take squad 8's captain seat for their experiences as long serving lieutenants

I think it makes sense. But i think it may apply for nobles that are captains. Still either way it works fine.

Literally best written character in Bleach. Written as perfect background character, with no serious relevance but huge support potential thanks to his personality and "i tried everything and was everywhere" shtick. He accomplished everything what Kubo wanted him to accomplish and was pretty cool doing it.
Also, small thing about Komamura and Iba. Not sure how much LNs you read so spoilers ahead:
Iba informed entire Seireitei that Komamura died in the fight and is the only person regularly visiting him outside of Seireitei.

@@lillith7257 But Kubo clearly did not wanted to show his weapons and purposely avoided it despite having dozens of opportunities to do so, and again - Iba was never a character made to be on first plane, as main person. He was written as background character, support and kind of moral lesson showing that being ok at multiple things can pay off as much as being super great at one or two things.

Ya know, even though Iba barely had any screentime, I still like the guy. He's like, a perfect background support character. He is recognizable and memorable despite barely being in the show. I remember his uniquely shaped zanpaktou and a pretty cool design. He even takes care of Komamura during the last arc and ends up being a captain afterwards.

@@lillith7257 how is renji not part of the main cast? Hell he was more relevant than Chad became. The main cast by the end was ichigo rukia renji and uryu. He got to train with ichigo to learn his true zanpakuto. They wouldn't have done that for a "side" character

23:30 On the novel "We Do kNot Always Love You", it's revealed that Komamura still hangs around Squad 7's barracks, even though he's not a shinigami anymore. He kinda became the squad's pet. Also he brought two kids from his clan, who are also half animal, to join the Gotei as shinigami apprentices. Also also, they reveal who Iba chose as his lieutenant, a guy named Iasochika Iemura, who made some appearances in the anime, formerly 3rd Seat of Squad 4.
Hmmm. Does this mean that the novel isn't canon since the new lieutenant is Rindo now?
@@HakimJamil94 I personally wouldn't consider it not canon. Either one of two things happen: Iemura was offered the position in the novel, but iirc correctly, after re-reading it, he doesn't actually answers Iba if he accepts or not. It's very possible that he refused, since a shimigami who is offered the position of Lieutenant has the right to decline, although it's very rare. That's one possibility. Or, the second possibility is that Kubo simply retconned this bit. Also completely likely
Have you read the new manga (Howl From The Jaws Of Hell Arc) A new arc? In there it was revealed that Iba has a new lieutenant named Atau Rindo, he's a new character. He can't speak (mute).

If I remember Komamura isn't a member of the squad anymore. IBA said to everyone that he died in battle but the captains realised he's lying cuz they could sense him still. But the captains realised it's for a reason and decided to give them their privacy.

Bleach Brave Souls, we need you to bring Captains Iba, Isane and Lisa to show their Shikai and Bankai
Considering how Iba's main character trait was fact that Kubo purposely avoided showing off his Zanpakuto and style of fighting? Even if he will appear in BS they will go all lenghts just to not show his Shikai and Bankai.

I like kidos. But when it comes to raw power like bankai, we need to see how strong the shikai is.
He literally became a lieutenant initially to impress his mother that was the whole reason why he left 11th squad in the first place
His mom will be really proud of him that he have become an captain to fill in his captain's shoes since Sajin has lost all his power and turn into an real wolf and he looking after sajin's pet dog goro and he got 2 students under his care. They are an couple of werewolf pups from komamura's clan.
I think he left 11th squad also because there is better chance to become a lieutenant in 7th squad than 11
Iba might genuinely be the perfect Shinigami. He works hard, creates strong bonds with his allies, is a good all rounder with all forms of combat, has shown decent leadership over his squad in the final arc, and despite lacking screentime he is always working hard and fights when needed. Im sure the fanbase would freak out, but i genuinely think he would be one of the best choices for a captain commander too (yes, not in terms of power, but i also dont see why every anime has to equate power to leadership skills)
I also think that he would be great choice for Captain commander, especially if you consider other choices.
Zaraki is a freak more interested in swinging sword than dealing with politics and paperwork.
Toshiro is too young and inexperienced, really.
Byakuya seems like a good choice but I'm not sure if a guy from higher echelons of Soul Society will want to deal with mundane things. You know, things that are not shown in manga because they are not interesting enough - What if in barracks of Squad 11 will need renovation etc?
We don't talk about idea of Mayuri running entire Seireitei lol.
There are other people but they simply are not up to it or seems like ppl that would be actively not interested in that job.
Iba was everywhere, talked with everyone and knows in and outs of every place in SS. He has decent leadership skills, charisma and contact with people. Again - most of Captain Commander's work is dealing with papers and making sure that Seireitei is not falling apart, invasion of Quincys or random Betrayal happens once every 1000 years or so lmao.
He had Iba's blade right next to him, what a handy coincidence

Hey Tekking, i know we are like half way in lutenants, but maybe the next bleach series you could make sternritters(only the relevant/ ones we know something about).
What about the Privaron Esapda and Exequias? Along with fraccions groups too? Also the SternRitter should be hold on to when the Anime return and if things are changed and they get more extend on too.
He already did that a few years ago in an hour long video

Did they ever reveal what Aizen's bankai was? Cause out of all the characters I wanted to know his the most since the shikai was pretty sick

The head cannon of iba being a gang leader and then joining the gotei 13 reminds me of the episode of American dad where principle louise reunites with his prison wife
Iba was cool as hell and I loved his Zanpakuto, I really don't get why he wasn't used more in the series because I know that a lot of people liked him a lot too.
Iba is so underrated. His overall 'Yakuza' thug aesthetic makes him quite noticeable. Him also rescuing Ikkaku at FKT while belittling his fools bravery means he cares about the safety of his allies. He's also got a good comedic streak, seriously him forcing everyone to dress like him and holding SMA meetings in the men's bathroom? Need a full series that covers the more obscure Shinigami all right.

I think his shikai's power can cause levels of earthquakes given the last hint of his appearance where he cracked the ground.

Got hit very badly where I live with ice too, so enjoying an unexpected day off from that.
With Iba - I always liked the dynamic he had with Renji with why they left the 11th and why they wanted to be vice-captains. Forget if he was talking to Renji or Ikkaku.
With Hinamori - Looking forward to her video. Honestly, she might be my favorite character, in spite of her tendency to be stabbed a lot. And her ability to keep getting up and not die was one of the few things that surprised Aizen.

Been watching for 4 years but Ik everything bout bleach but I came up with a conclusion on ikkaku not using his bankia. With ikkaku being in squad 11 he didn’t want anybody knowing that he had a bankai including Kenpachi. With the rules to become a Captain in Squad 11 u have to fight the current Captain to the death to become the new Captain. Idk if this can make since but I think Ikkaku didn’t want anybody to find out about his bankai is because he wanted it to be strong enough to fight and to compete with Kenpachi to become the new Captain of Squad. I think this is the reason he lost to ichigo cause at that time if he wanted to go Bankai he could and would have beat ichigo at that time. Which makes a whole lot of since. I think that was the only reason why he didn’t want to show his bankai. Which is smart for ikkaku
I live in Tulsa Oklahoma and we had like 2 foot of snow it hasn't snowed like that In probably 10 years.
Here in Wisconsin, it's finally above 0 and we don't have to keep the water running anymore...also our town dam broke so the ice of the lake collapsed, which is interesting to see.

idk if they showed the one piece yet because i just started the sky island arc but my dad had a theory and you could use it for a video, i told him that the straw hat was rogers and then shanks and then luffy so he said "the one piece is probably like the missing strand to the straw hat and thats why its like his treasure" so it might be but probably not. ty for your time

I can kind of see the Spike on his sword being used to channel kido into his opponent if he connects with it he can head home and then send lightning through the body paralyzing them or outright killing them same goes with any other spell

i'd like to imagine that he trained with Oetsu Nimaiya and Rabu Aikawa(bec. he's former captain of Squad 7) which is how he was able to achieve his bankai. Also, his bankai could've also been a gun since that would be a yakuza-themed weapon so the pick part of the shikai becomes the handle of a gun so he can hold it horizontally/veritcally, depending on your orientation.

Looking at them, I could see them being a Yakuza family. Iba probably joined because his mom was a lieutenant and well like the original members, I could see crime families being beholden to the Gotei 13 as a whole.
