Not worth the upgrade but worth purchasing if you don’t already have a PS5 or just to have as a second console as a main and the standard one as a travel/office console kinda like have a Series S as a travel console and the Series X for home. To each their own.
Price isn't the main issue for most potential buyers, but value is. Why buy a $700 gaming console when you can build a gaming rig that's twice as powerful for the same price, and it's a PC with better utility and a larger game library? And then they make the cheapest component (the blu-ray drive) a separate premium purchase. Many would consider this cash grab an insult to one's intelligence, but obviously not to you. But you are partially correct. The Pro was designed for PlayStation enthusiasts, not gaming enthusiasts. Those guys are on the PC.

Not worth it for me. Games already looks and runs great on my ps5 slim. There is no reason for me to upgrade, especially when it does not come with a disc drive, or stand, and it cost $700. It’s basically the same console as the base and slim ps5, just with tiny upgrades to graphics. It will play the same games, and you will not be missing out. I rather wait for the ps6 to come out, so that way it will be a bigger upgrade. Yes, it will not come out for a long time, (like in 2027/2028) but I can wait that long. Plus, it will include almost the same features as the ps5 pro, (pssr for an example) but even more powerful. Sony needs to get their heads together, and make new first party games, rather than making new unnecessary consoles. We have yet to see what the ps5’s power can do, and they haven’t showcase a new game yet. I’m still waiting for the last of us part 3 uncharted 5, new ip from naughty dog, new jak and daxter game, new sly cooper game, infamous, resistance, killzone. These are all IPs that haven’t even gotten a sequel on the ps5. They need to come back. We got ratchet and clank on ps5, but what about sly cooper or jak and daxter? They haven’t gotten a ps5 game yet! Anyway, I hope we get something from PlayStation next year.
If they left the original ps5 modes as options I would say yes, but as an owner, all the games that have actually needed a boost in resolution and/or frame rate have not benefited at all. It’s a disaster.

With no new games to show the capabilities? No it's not worth the money they're asking.
Not worth the upgrade but worth purchasing if you don’t already have a PS5 or just to have as a second console as a main and the standard one as a travel/office console kinda like have a Series S as a travel console and the Series X for home. To each their own.
Honestly if you can’t afford it you should quit crying it’s not made for you.
@ no you’re just broke
@@RS3jack PC Gamers are laughing at you. I'm laughing at you. Get it? Here's a hint. PC Gaming Rigs on average are much more expensive than a PS5 Pro. Those of us who do have a regular PS5 only have it to play PS exclusives like FF16 and Stellar Blade. None of us are thinking, oh I gotta get me a PS5 Pro because it's so much better. Just helping you out, because you have a simple mind that clearly struggles with the complexities of life.
@@tabularasa9554 okay brokie
PC sucks. Why do I want to spend 8 hours in a graphics menu tweaking options to get two more frames per second while dealing with Windows and multiple launchers and busted PC ports@@tabularasa9554
No PS5 games run at a locked 60 fps minimum, the games are not utilizing the hardware. Pro patches, except Sony exclusives like GT7 or Horizon, seem lazy from the game developers and not the hardware. The bar is so low now I’m looking forward a game thats just completed without game breaking bugs on day one.
7:15 - That ain't really disappointing at all for many of us dude. Unlike snobs like yourself, it's not really all that needed for many single player games at the slightest. It really gives off that soap opera effect for many of them. So it's not really close to being dissapoinring at all.
Best review for this console yet
If you go pc set aside $2000 and do it the right way. Don't assume you will be playing new games with shiny graphics at $700 like the pro.
U can though
Im loving my pro im so happy i sold my og ps5 definitely worth it im excited for the upcoming games 😊😊😊
Flogged my launch PS5 and Series X that was collecting dust well worth it especially if you’re pairing it with an OLED tv to get those extra bells and whistles. Still trying to hunt down a disc drive though 😂
If you don't have a 120 Hz display ps6 isn't going to help you either
Short answer: no
Longer answer: heck no!
Can't help feeling 4 years is a long time to wait for the next spec bump, might as well go for it and to hell with the cost.
It's only money, I work hard and gaming is my hobby so why not get the best experience, right?
Although let's not talk about Silent Hill 2... 😂
Agreed like I’m mad about the disc drive situation but I also enjoy the best experience… and To get that with a. pC you gotta spend like double that money so I mean tbh it’s worth it and PC is just annoying you gotta make sure no male are and everything else it’s just to much to deal with I just wanna plug and play not do that type shit haha so I’ll just keep getting the best of best and just keep this one with a added disc drive when the os6 comes out so I have it to play all my discs
It's so funny because people buy $1,000 products by the millions smartphones MacBooks labtops 4k monitors , gaming PC monitors sound systems soundbars and PC rigs way more than $1,000. What is everything one complaining about? $700 OK. Numbers and schematics on the charts say different about sales with companies. You guys can't be serious! Where the Consumers 👈🏽 also with a upgrade in mvme memory. That's $150 in memory memory in any computer technology is where the expense is. Mostly don't do the math. Some individuals need to do their homework . Don't like it. Don't buy ! Internet is hilarious. People are just bored with their personal lives I guess and need to rant about something.Smh 🤔
I love ❤my playstation 5 phat edition
No saved you 12 minutes 48 seconds.
No.
Absolutely not for that price
Traded in my OG PS5 for the Pro and I have to say gaming feels much smoother and the graphics looks better I’m happy.
Not at all , PS6 , yes.
Watching people cope with this purchase is hilarious. So not worth it
It’s worth it if you value
1. Smooth frame rate
2. AI driven upscaling
3. Superior load times
4. Not having to sacrifice between performance and quality modes
5. Have a TV that can support VRR. That’s when the pro blows away the base PS5 even more
You’re not informed clearly
No disc drive is a major L
100% worth it
No disk drive no buy
Is it worth it? it depends...
You already own a PS5? don't buy it (unless it's the 30th anniversary edition because that one is worth it in a different way).
You do not own a PS5? go for it.
Yes it is.
No it’s not lol
More like "Is it worth the downgrade"
No..... No it's not.
Go play your regular ps5 and love it while you can Cuz the 6 is coming and you'll want that too, lol
2024 and Sony still selling horizontal standing console? wondering how long that CPU will last 😂
Yes and no I'd say. From an owner
I'll never get a PC idc what happens tbh
I got one but it’s not that important you not gonna see any difference
As a pro owner we needmore older ps4 game patches ex valhalla cyberpunk outriders. Freesync? Dolby vision gaming ?
Who cares I’m buying it
Yes playstation best eco system's in the world's.

Bro i was one of those trust me. Pull the trigger and let me say ps5 pro just refuns faster smooth and yiu get gettung 6ghz wifi. W. Ive noticed is amazing.
Personally, not even a little bit
No
If the gpu so good why not unlock the fps
Absolutely not yet, it is wise to wait for a price drop, possible drive inclusion and problem fixes.
This video was nonsense and a PC sells pitch.
Only if you own a 120hertz 4k or 8k tv
If they left the original ps5 modes as options I would say yes, but as an owner, all the games that have actually needed a boost in resolution and/or frame rate have not benefited at all. It’s a disaster.
Nope and nope
What happened to your nails???
Haha “pssr”
Just get an open box for 580 dollars or cheaper.
Cant find any open box listings
Just give it a few weeks, there has been a £40 discount in the UK already straight after launch.
@@naegimakato460 I got mine from best buy. Only thing missing was hdmi cord & the box was destroyed. Check ever day you find 1
I said playstation were lying and I was proven right
No.
