Horizon Forbidden West already looked phenomenal on the base PS5 but on the Pro it somehow looks even better and runs at twice the frame rate, I’m absolutely blown away by how good it looks.
@@crymsonenigma some parts of the Internet want to ignore the differences but seeing it in person it's so much more nicer to have the high framerate and visuals without the compromise. To be fair I'm a sucker for more powerful Playstation consoles I'm the target demographic

Sony Master Series Oled($5k), 3D Spacial Surround Sound($4k), PSVR2($750), Edge Controllers($200), and a Portal($200) to add some diversity of play. Add in the latest games and it's pretty much out of the question for most gamers now a days. I'm glad to bump into someone who understands the Pro's intended demographic. Happy Gaming!!

I hate choosing between fidelity and performance. Now i dont have to with my pro. We have bangers coming out soon like GTA6, dying light Beast, ghost of yotei and MGS delta. I dont want to have to compromise on those games
This is the thing for me. Everyone banging on about having oled and all that bs. Yes I'm sure it's a richer picture. But you don't need oled to tell the difference between fidelity and performance mode and with them at 30 and 60 fps. I have a 4 year old Samsung 4k 60 TV and I can tell the difference with these modes. I'm sure the pro will be noticeable as well on my mid range TV. I may soon jump off the fence and get one regardless of the oled fan boy bs. 😂
@@danloki78you don’t need OLED to tell the difference between frame rate but the picture quality is way better on one. Every time I see something on a non oled compared to my oled tv the picture is quite worse and I have an old oled tv so I can imagine the newer ones look quite better with higher brightness.

I’m liking it too. Been playing steller blade. Luckily I had a disc drive accessory and I was able to put it on the pro. You get the most out of it with an upgraded monitor though.
Traded in my original ps5 and series x (never played it and have a pc for Microsoft) and paid basically $150 for the pro. I am finding the upgrade definitely nice but not worth $700 but for $150 absolutely.
I got my pro day one and i can tell you every game ive played looks alot better and so smooth even games thats not enhanced. I love my pro i hadnt touched my ps5 or pc since ive had my pro.
Silent Hill 2 & Black Ops 6 haven't been patched yet. Horizon Forbidden West is the most impressive I've played on my PS5 Pro so far, and it doesn't even use PSSR.

Can anyone answer this, my pro is arriving tomorrow, i have the last of us 2 ps4 copy, and i upgraded to the ps5 remaster, my ps5 is the disk version, obviously the pro is digital. So will i be able to still play the last of us 2 remastered on the pro, or they expect me to repurchase the game digitally? Cause i cant install the ps4 disk of tlou2 on the pro cause theres no drive. Anyone understand what im trying to explain?
Do you have the ps5 slim with removable disc reader? If so, just attach the slim reader to the pro. If not then.. yeah, the discs are useless until you buy the disc drive. Think it’s 80$ in US
Have my pro, 120hz tv 4K. I have to say….its okay, but not that amazing. Don’t expect miracles. I would like a cyberpunk upgrade which would be nice. Baldurs gate runs a little better. Tekken 8 looks a bit sharper, but otherwise, it’s not super impressive. People are getting hyped up on all these videos, but with the price, and having to buy the disc drive, I think the only way you should buy one is if you don’t already own a ps5. Maybe I was expecting a bigger change, but it just hasn’t been that noticeable to me. When gran tourismo gets the upgrade I’ll put the vr2 back on and see if it makes a difference .
I'm disappointed myself. The only games with a significant change are patched games. I really thought every game was going to significantly improve. Dying light 2, 60 fps modes Don't look as good as the base PS5 fidelity mode. Spiderman remaster - SM feels like he's swinging at . 75 speed. He feels slow. Less traffic that's noticeable. People are just standing instead of walking. The mode feels like an illusion. I regret buying it

I have been playing a lot of baldurs gate lately, and it does look and play better, but unless these games get the “boost”, there’s not really much improvement. I’m going to try no man’s sky VR on days off to check it out, but i find the game boring as hell and vr makes my stomach turn. Gran tourismo is the only vr game I can play for any length of time without needing to puke, but that game didn’t even get the boost they were showcasing. Again, anyone foaming at the mouth to get the pro, temper your expectations. I’d even wait until it gets a price drop. You really are not getting 1000 bucks Canadian worth of difference in my opinion. Maybe people are seeing things I don’t, but it just doesn’t seem that big a difference. The ps4 pro was a big jump from the standard ps4. I’m starting to think Sony is getting a little too comfortable at the top.
It’s a future investment for sure. Like the PS4 pro, it’ll be pretty stale for another couple months till some new games drop made for the hardware. Once that happens the gap will naturally widen between the two consoles. There’s not much of a benefit to be an early adopter of a console like this. It will pay off - eventually.
I have also noticed with pro that film grain looks really too strong with it. Not sure if it's an up in Res the pssr or what. But tip is just to turn it off.

Fidelity mode is still a little stuttery, but I honestly don't think there is that big a difference visually at a glance between the two modes. I have the pro don't let this video fool you. There might be 80 games coming but min there are actually only 5 games that have (enhanced pro mode) currently. Even blackops 6 doesn't yet have a patch out for it. They all say soon.... we'll see what soon means
Brother, please don't spread misinformation. RE4, FF7 rebirth, GOW ragnarok, spider man 2, horizon forbidden west, the crew motorfest, no mans sky all have pro enhanced patches out rn and there are more games out there with patches active today! Those are just the games I own, so i know about them.
@OneLife69- well must be just my luck, the 3 games I tried that are on the list didn't have patch out. (Blackops 6, Diablo 4, Fist Descendant) Had no new modes.
The comment on silent hill 2 is wrong, the game is broken on ps5 pro yes but that is due to the gpu / boost mode it is messing with the game and has ruined the visuals it has nothing to do with pssr as none of that is implemented yet as it is still on 1.05 so hopefully they will patch it really soon.
Silent hill 2 was a huge dissapointment for me, i purchased it because it was labled with Pro Enhancement on the store and its still not got any Pro modes, The current modes are lackluster and unplayable! :(

Honestly, even though the price was a bit high, i am loving the PS5 Pro!!! Everytime i used to play on my base PS5, i used to switch to Fidelity mode in some games just to see the quality and details of graphics for a brief period to WOW the works of game developers but always had to switch back to performance mode. But now with PS5 pro, i ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Every frame is beautifully crafted, clean and smooth with even small details are so clear. I would highly recommend if you have a 4k tv already, go for the Pro, you wont regret! Yes, its expensive, but worth the money invested until PS6 comes, (maybe 3 or 4 years) instead of regretting to play games in its maximum potential. Just my humble opinion 😌
I regret it. No significant difference if it's not patched. Few games are patched so far. I bought it cause I wanted better performance for old games that are uncapped frame rates. Glad you like it.
Why on some of these games do you go into detail about what's being done with the PS5 Pro enhancements, but others you're just like "yep it's enhanced, next game!" 🤣🤣🤣
Pretty much because some games we had actual breakdowns of how they were improving and others just had confirmations that they were getting Pro Enhanced versions but no details other than that!
Not going to lie, I wasn't that impressed jumping from the PS5 to the pro accept for maybe Horizon Zero Dawn that was actually impressive. But everything else was just meh.
So far the best feature of PS5 Pro is it doesn't look humongously ugly like the base PS5. That thing was an eyesore. I'll buy PS5 Pro for this reason alone.
The uncapped frame rate games did not get a significant boost. It's very minor. Definitely disappointing. It needs to be patched to get the most out of the hardware. I agree that it was a waste of money and it's overpriced if we are at the mercy of the devs. The performance did not increase because it's still using the same old CPU.
I want one but I keep talking myself out of it because of the polarised opinions of it. I’ve already played the majority of the boosted games and there aren’t many games i’m looking forward to at the moment.

@@danloki78 I do have an LG Oled already so that’s kind of pushing me in the direction of getting one, if I didn’t I would go for the tv upgrade first over the pro. I would say LED tv to OLED is a bigger upgrade for gaming than the base ps5 to pro looks.

The campaign for Jedi Survivor is broken on the PS5 pro. There are several points in the campaign where progress is blocked by sofware bugs

The comment on silent hill 2 is wrong, the game is broken on ps5 pro yes but that is due to the gpu / boost mode it is messing with the game and has ruined the visuals it has nothing to do with pssr as none of that is implemented yet as it is still on 1.05 so hopefully they will patch it really soon.
If you have a 4K tv with vrr the pro is worth it if you can afford
Silent hill 2 was a huge dissapointment for me, i purchased it because it was labled with Pro Enhancement on the store and its still not got any Pro modes, The current modes are lackluster and unplayable! :(

Everyone banging on about having oled and all that bs. Yes I'm sure it's a richer picture. But you don't need oled to tell the difference between fidelity and performance mode and with them at 30 and 60 fps. I have a 4 year old Samsung 4k 60 TV and I can tell the difference with these modes. I'm sure the pro will be noticeable as well on my mid range TV. I may soon jump off the fence and get one regardless of the oled fan boy bs. 😂

Honestly, even though the price was a bit high, i am loving the PS5 Pro!!! Everytime i used to play on my base PS5, i used to switch to Fidelity mode in some games just to see the quality and details of graphics for a brief period to WOW the works of game developers but always had to switch back to performance mode. But now with PS5 pro, i ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT! Every frame is beautifully crafted, clean and smooth with even small details are so clear. I would highly recommend if you have a 4k tv already, go for the Pro, you wont regret! Yes, its expensive, but worth the money invested until PS6 comes, (maybe 3 or 4 years) instead of regretting to play games in its maximum potential. Just my humble opinion 😌
I regret it. No significant difference if it's not patched. Few games are patched so far.

I’ve encountered issues with two games that don’t seem to have been patched: Jedi Survivor and Silent Hill 2. Weird flickering and image instability.

Why on some of these games do you go into detail about what's being done with the PS5 Pro enhancements, but others you're just like "yep it's enhanced, next game!" 🤣🤣🤣
Pretty much because some games we had actual breakdowns of how they were improving and others just had confirmations that they were getting Pro Enhanced versions but no details other than that!
Not going to lie, I wasn't that impressed jumping from the PS5 to the pro accept for maybe Horizon Zero Dawn that was actually impressive. But everything else was just meh.
I've was blown away with horizon forbidden west and lords of the Fallen.

So far the best feature of PS5 Pro is it doesn't look humongously ugly like the base PS5. That thing was an eyesore. I'll buy PS5 Pro for this reason alone.

The uncapped frame rate games did not get a significant boost. It's very minor. Definitely disappointing. It needs to be patched to get the most out of the hardware.
I agree that it was a waste of money and it's overpriced if we are at the mercy of the devs.
The performance did not increase because it's still using the same old CPU.

From people who own it. When you load up most games old and new you will notice a nice difference when played on a big 4k screen.
I want one but I keep talking myself out of it because of the polarised opinions of it. I’ve already played the majority of the boosted games and there aren’t many games i’m looking forward to at the moment.

@@danloki78 I do have an LG Oled already so that’s kind of pushing me in the direction of getting one, if I didn’t I would go for the tv upgrade first over the pro. I would say LED tv to OLED is a bigger upgrade for gaming than the base ps5 to pro looks.
