Under the hood is 5.6L V8 producing 400HP & mated to a 7-speed automatic transmission. On the outside it has 22in wheels and full LED lighting. I just picked up a loaded Sensory for $77k. In terms of value, this is a better Luxury full-size SUV compared to Ford, Chevy, GMC, Cadillac, and Lincoln. Navigators and Escalades going for $95k to $110. Expedition, Yukon, and Tahoe going for high $80s. I agree with video and comments that this SUV can use an upgrade but $77k is great value…plenty of room for golf clubs and family luggage for our road trips!

Tesla model S has had the same bodystyle since 2012. LAND rover keeps the same bodystyle on Range Rover models for 10+ yrs. It's not about how "old" a design is, it about what it offers. Despite being "old" still looks attractive. It's got all the safety and tech features needed that justifies the price.

Mine is almost fully loaded ( AWD, 4x4, the driver assist, 22" wheel & tire package, rail roof, illuminated kickplates, and the theater package). I honestly like the black leather in mine vs the brown in the top trim. Also, from my research the only other thing that I am missing out on is the lane change detection which I hear is pain in the rear anyway. I got mine last Oct for $25K, has around 115K miles now since I got it, but I am on the forums and groups and there are many there that have way more miles than that as long as you maintain it. I love the ride and how overall thought out it is. I will agree the audio/tech in mine is way outdated, but I have been looking at some aftermarket units that make it like the one in this video. I believe as long as I take care of this one, it will last and treat me well for many years, just like I have been taking care of my 2011 Jetta SE that is still in like new condition with only 85k miles.

Sans the dated interior, I would buy this for the reliability, V-8 and driving dynamics. The style is iconic.

i think you fail to recognize the Q50 and Q60 which sold 7000 units in 2022 and is their more enthusiast based offerings, which accounted for about 17% of Infiniti’s sales. Not to mention the Q Red Sport cars are a blast to drive.

    • @c0348whn

7000 is nothing, so accounting for 17% of sales shows just how bad they’re doing. There’s nothing enthusiast about them.

@@ValenR6 That’s like saying a cheap ass mustang is enthusiast. It’s not. It’s just a generic sports car. 400HP isn’t much you know? This ain’t the 80s anymore. Pickup trucks have that. Secondly I don’t need you to say anything about them doing good or bad as a sort of “permission” to make my own comment about them.

@@ValenR6 Resurgence with what? The brand is dead. Genesis is killing them in sales they have nothing new that is even noteworthy. Warmed over Nissans will ensure the brand is gone in a next few years. I believe what the previous poster was saying is that there is nothing enthusiastic about 7000K sales a year and he's right. It's nothing to even mention.

Don't get me wrong, it's still a pretty impressive Full-Sized SUV. However it's also clear that the QX80 is now somewhat behind their counterparts from GM, Ford & Mercedes-Benz.
That's why I find it incredibly surprising that they haven't introduced a 3rd Generation Model as of 2023, despite this version being 13 years old now (GM has actually introduced 2 Generations of Full-Sized SUV since it launched back in 2010).
Regardless, my advice to Nissan would to either launch that 3G Version or at the very least upgrade the interior & sunroof of the current 2G Version. Oh and introduce an Extended Length QX80 as well.
