The most important new Infiniti model has finally been revealed and we're really loving the direction that Infiniti is taking this truck. It finally feels like a true luxury and from what we hear, the new Armada is going to go in a more off-road/overlanding direction. We should be driving this new model sometime in June so stay tuned!
Really hope Infiniti makes a comeback. That 2000-2010 run they had was Epic, really a shame where the brand has gone now, I'm still rooting for them though, my first car was an Infiniti so they will always have a soft spot.
Small correction at 17:25. The LX600 has massaging 2nd row reclining seats in the UL trim. But fantastic review and this is a much better car w/out the reclining features
Maybe one of the best new designs of any car manufacturer in YEARS! Infiniti has really outdone themselves with this SUV, now lets upgrade the rest of the line up!
I also have to give it to Infiniti: This is a far more complete update than what LX600 represents. The top trim screams luxury and is STILL $20K less expensive than the smaller LX. Nissan/Infiniti really has invested heavily on interior design and execution and it shows. The LX looks to harken back to the 2000s, interior wise. This will be a colossal hit for Infiniti.
There's still a major reliability issue with new infinities. Look at their redesigned Qx60, its full of issues. Q50s have premature turbo problems, will that carry over? questions questions.
@@possession3929exactly. Even if price isn't an issue, I don't want my car to be in the shop every few weeks after 70k miles despite good maintenance.
@naveenthemachine You truly have to be one of the most disconnected humans remotely involved in the automotive landscape. I don't know that I've ever read a single comment you've made & not been confused as to how you arrived at that standpoint. Do you not look at real world sales numbers?
@dacronic1646 As an Infiniti owner, the interiors look nice, but the material quality could be so much better. I tell people if you want a nice car that drives really well, has good power, and looks good infiniti will not disappoint. However, if you want luxury buy a Benz or Lexus.
Funny you say that, I own a livery company and the 2 qx in the fleet of Escalades and expeditions and a navigator by far get the most compliments from customers. I think for the driver the Lincoln is my favorite but that’s not how my customers view it.
@@GXTOLX Even in its old age and probably even taking fleet sales into account, the QX80 has outsold the LX for years. So it's technically been beat...
@@GXTOLX It has been cheaper historically. I've always thought the LX was overpriced and it's sales seem to reflect that. Besides being obviously dated, the quality has never lacked in the QX80. Not sure how the Lexus is so much further ahead as many claim. I've been in both, obviously the LX was newer, but the QX was just as high quality from a materials and build quality standpoint. So when you say "No where near Lexus quality" what do you mean? Genuinely asking, but it's starting to sound like that is a blanket statement people are making to justify their personal preference and isn't exactly quantifiable.
Once their flagship gets the major upgrades, it trickles down to their less expensive siblings. Let’s hope it’s quick because Infiniti really needs this.
This looks amazing, the interior is stunning, drivetrain seems promising and I really like the exterior as well. This and the new GX are my favorite new SUV’s on the market
Everyone going for that Cadillac Escalade esque bold grille and face look, it works here for the QX80 this looks amazing! Looks like the Japanese version of the new Tahoe. I’m happy to see Infiniti updating these things.
@@2seepdid you not hear him say the grille is larger? I’m not talking about just the style I’m talking about the size and grille to front end ratio. Infiniti has never had grilles that were this large or that covered this much space on the front end of their vehicles. This has the front end design of the *gm* trucks, mainly the Escalade. Infiniti just switched the location of the turn signal/DRLs and the headlights. The lighting is pushed to the corners and the edges of the truck to make room for the bold & large grille which compliments boxier silhouettes - _that’s_ what i meant by “Cadillac esque” and Infiniti isn’t the only brand to adopt this philosophy lately.
Wow. Now Infiniti finally made a product that is Awesome!! They'll definitely steal sales from Lexus, Range Rover, Cadillac and Lincoln. A few minor shortcomings but given that this vehicle hasn't been updated in almost two decades, they're on a lighted path to success in terms of increased sales. Congratulations Infiniti. You did well.
This looks really good! Imo the interior is better than the LX and the exteriors are probably tied. They need to rollout these interior updates to the rest of their lineup asap...
Awesome Infinity, finally you have stepped it up in looks, quality and price too lol. This is a true keeper. I also believe the reliability will be exceptional
The entire vehicle itself for the 2025 3rd-Generation Infiniti QX80 is incredible of heavens. And sure enough that customers at a high-end class will be in love with this vehicle.💯💯🙌🏻🙌🏻
Nailed it!! This is the perfect suv!! Thank you Range Rover for the design, and not the engine or electrical! This is gorgeous! Way to go Infiniti!!!! Can’t wait to see the drive!! Thank you! Love your reviews!!
Finally!! Infiniti stepping up their game after 10 long years! I love V8s but That V6 VQ engine might suit this SUV really well cuz VQs are some of the best sounding V6 engines ever! RIP Lexus LX!!
@@jonlosito2004you're confusing Nissan/Infinitis internally named VR coded engine family with the VR engine layout that Volkswagen uses! Nissan/Infiniti uses a V6 layout, Volkswagen used to use a VR6 layout.
This could revive Infiniti as an actual luxury brand, not a rebadged Nissan. The interior is stunning (bring it to the QX50), the exterior actually looks so good and the drivetrain is very nice.
This new QX80 is a home run, it is surprising to see it overtake the LX finally in key areas like room, tech, and powertrain, for much less than the LX.
6:26 glad to see amber rear indicator lights. I'm tired of seeing so many North American spec vehicles with unacceptable red rear indicator lights. Kudos, Infiniti for doing the right thing.
The only missing thing is the rear entertainment system which is a shame. They were offering the rear entertainment system in many old models such as QX60 2016 that I have. Other than that, perfect and beautiful SUV.

They will
If they slapped this interior into the Q50 and QX50/55, they would have a completely competitive line up pretty much overnight.
They need to throw away the CVT, first.
They already are beginning to.@@GT-gt4bf
I agree. If the Q5O had this updated interior, and some slight updates to the exterior, it would be an option

That's literally all the Q50 needs outside of a mild exterior refresh. An updated interior like this would be a hit.
