yeah the springs are compliant but at the same time the restorative force in the springs are low. Perhaps the springs are filled with oil.

Whoever thought that running Baja Trucks on street courses WITHOUT any kind of modifications at all is just an absolute genius....inside front tire is like 4 feet off the ground through each turn

the rules they have like only being able to use one set of brake pads per weekend and a mid race reset also help

@@JOBAVALONDONONLY420 You say that as a joke, but it's actually kind of true. In the air you can turn the wheels to change the attitude a little bit, not much though. The wheels act like a tail rudder on planes. It can also help shift wait some. Same thing with Sprint cars and midgets on dirt ovals, when doing a wheelie, especially a longer wheelie. You can twitch the front wheels to change direction slightly.

It's quite recent, I believe the term is "Baja Truck" racing, not sure.
Stadium truck racing. Here in Australia they race the same tracks as our V8 supercar championship just with added jumps and obstacles

I love these trucks. Every lap is exciting... it's like watching NASCAR from 20 years ago.

Just a curious non american here. What was different back then?
@@ma1337hi it was a lot more exciting back then and there was a lot more bumping, rubbing and risky racing. There was also a lot less rules regarding how the drivers had to race (pushing / bump drafting, etc) so it made the racing more risky and made for some spectacular wrecking too. Every lap had you at the edge of your seat and as a result tempers were a lot higher and egos even bigger too (on and off the track). Also, the drivers back then were bigger than life. New NASCAR, you can literally turn the channel for 30 minutes and not miss a thing. Racing today is more competitive due to teams and equipment being nearly identical thanks to stricter rules and drivers less willing to take risks for fear of fines, losing sponsorships or rides. NASCAR today is very boring and "safe". I miss the NASCAR of old where a car could literally role in a crash, the team slaps some 200MPH tape on her and send her back out for a top 10 finish. Shoot, rules today stipulate that if the car is in the pits for more than 5 minutes they get a DNF and can't be on the track for safety reasons... that's just stupid. Lap traffic causes exciting driving scenarios due to speed differences and who the heck are fans suppose to cheer for when their driver isn't allowed back on the track. Ah well... :(

There’s something absolutely beautiful about seeing the Traxxas twins taking corners on three wheels and jumping in near perfect sync, it’s like a choreographed dance routine! I’d love to have a huge poster or banner showing them both in action!

The way I have seen the yes joke used is to address a situation too complex or absurd and the joke is to contrast it witg a single syllable

I suppose in the case of flying trucks the non use of which specific bearings, implies all bearings.

Would imply a subway completely soaked in every sauce possible. To not mention the specifics implies the possibility of more sauce, adding to the absurdness of possible all sauces possible and more. Also part of the joke is that it DOESNT make sense. The situation itself is absurd and the lack of grammatical correctness matches the lack of sense in the situation.
Maybe that is why that joke has devolved in length but evolved in complexity while appearing to have gotten stupider

@@StadiumSUPERTrucks How does that work? What causes the uneven torque depending on the turning direction? Is the torque so high that it is physically rolling the chassis into the front right tyre?
@@dwindeyer The engine spins the opposite way. So this force would help keep the truck planted on right-handers and cause more body roll on left handers.
You see this in drag racing when a rwd car has loads of torque but not good enough suspension to keep it straight (search "Putting it on the bumper"). It's also very noticeable when flying single-engine aircraft because the only thing countering the torque is aerodynamic forces. You see it on these trucks because there's only so much they can do to counter body roll when they also need to be able to take those huge jumps.

They’re based off RC cars - not the other way around - which is part of what makes them so cool.

lol in iracing these guys would have spin 360 in first 3 seconds of this video, literally within 3 seconds of this video all drivers would spin in iceracing, watch Nicky Thiim and other pro drivers what they have to say about iceracing and quit this rubbish "sim" made to gain money of simps
problem is all simracers think hard = real and reality is the opposite when worlds best engineers put all their effort to make race cars as easy to drive as possible.
not to mention this "huge air" in 1:07 in iceracing would make car go all over the place cause if not: all those hardcore sim racers would tell sim is too easy unrealistic cause no car should withstand it and drive straight xD

I was at Mid-Ohio a couple weeks ago for the Xfinity race and the Super Trucks were without a doubt the best part of the whole weekend. Watching these things drift, race hard, come barrelling downhill and hit those ramps. Dude that was some exciting shit
